A big update to Celtreos!

Remastered and Updated Soundtrack

Several songs have been tweaked, including: “Disposition”, “Navigation”, “Obliteration”, “Assignment”, “Acquisition”, “Confrontation”, “Flow” and “Excursion”. Also, songs have been re-exported with higher-quality source instruments for even better sound!

New Weapon Effects

Several weapons have new, unique impact animations!  There have been other artwork and animation improvements too; for example, the icon for the Lightning effect is now much cooler-looking.

New Ship Exhaust Options

There are two new “smoke” colors and two new “stream” colors!  There are now a total of 10 options for ship exhaust effects.

“Test Mode” Improvements

When you use the “Test…” function in the Ship Editor, you will now see a series of clustered power-ups at the beginning to make it much easier to test different setups (such as multipliers, rapid fire, defender pods, or powered-up default weapons).  There are also enough of these laid out to work well in two-player tests.

More ship configuration options, and a more useful “Test Mode”.

Localized to French

The entire user interface of the game has been localized to French (but long-form text such as the introductory story and game-end story are still in English; also, weapon names and their voice call-outs are still in English).

To enable the French interface on the Mac, either set the system-wide language to French or use System Preferences (“Language & Region”, “Apps” tab) to set the per-app language for Celtreos to French.

Content Tweaks

There have been some minor performance improvements to the game, and some small artwork tweaks (such as the background in “Shipyard Attack”).

A big update to Celtreos!

New “Devastator Series” Weapon Array

Even more firepower in the game!  As always, weapons can be used either as a preset or as part of any custom arrays you have created.
  • “Devastator”: The most powerful forward attack yet!
  • “6 Way”: The missing piece to complete the set.
  • “Concentrator”: An incredibly cool special attack (consumes one “charge”) that destroys pretty much anything directly in front of your ship.
This series will be expanded further in future game updates.

5th Custom Weapon Array

You can now create yet another custom array of weapons, and it is included in the random rotation that can appear at the end of every boss fight.

“Test Mode” Improvements

There is now a lot more to shoot at when you use the “Test…” function in the Ship Editor, including a variety of blocks that require different amounts of firepower in order to destroy.

Gameplay Improvements

Some stages have been tweaked for better gameplay, such as “Planetary Approach”. Also, artwork has improved in a few places, such as certain weapons.

Obliterate enemies more quickly than ever.  In style.
