New “Ring” Default Weapon Option

The “Devastator Series” is continuing to expand, this time with a new default weapon option, “Ring”.  This weapon actually looks similar to the original look of “Blaster”, and “Blaster” now has a new appearance!

The “Ring” weapon can pass through anything (including walls) but is relatively weak compared to some other weapons.  Since it is a default weapon though, it can be upgraded by “+” power-ups, and it can be paired with certain other weapons or pods like “Shadow” and “Trailer”; this means that a lot of new combinations are possible so try adding “Ring” to your arsenal!

Artwork and Animation Improvements

There are some new icons in the user interface, and more detail in the artwork for certain enemies, weapons, backgrounds, and more.

A big update to Celtreos!

New “Predator” Weapon

The “Devastator Series” (and custom arrays) now have “Predator”, a snake-like attack that doesn’t stop pursuing an enemy once locked on, until that enemy dies!  Plus these things are super creepy and might even be alive…

Updated Soundtrack

The “Diminution” and “Flow” songs have been improved.

Updated Artwork

A couple of ships are more detailed, the app icon is improved, and there are other minor tweaks.

New “Predator” weapon locks onto enemies and keeps going after them!

“Keep Weapons After Death” Option

This new option makes the game easier by allowing you to keep any collected weapons after you lose a ship.  (The “Preserver” power-up does not appear in this mode, since it would have no effect.)  Note that weapons still change if you choose another weapon array after a boss fight ends.

“Don’t Switch to New Weapons” Option

This new option prevents your weapon from automatically switching when receiving a weapon power-up (although the new weapon does enter your rotation and you can switch to it manually).

Performance Improvements

A number of possible slow-downs have been fixed, including issues with certain weapons, among other things.  A few cases of excessive memory use have also been addressed.

Content Tweaks

A number of things in the game are more animated, such as a few weapons and defenders.  Interface elements like buttons now display a glow when you hover over them with the mouse.  Minor improvements have also been made to artwork in some parts of the game.
