[NEWS] New Patreon goal for 1.7.0 and next major versions


Hello there! Some news coming up.
[h2]A huge thank you[/h2]
First of all, I wanna say a huge thank you to all the people that are/were Patrons in Patreon and/or bought the commercial edition on Steam! Thanks to that, I was able to keep focusing longer on development and make the engine grow more and more!

I also want to say thank you to people that are active in the community by helping other people and sharing their creations!

 
[h2]Patreon goals and new versions[/h2]
However, it's getting harder and harder to keep being 100% on development with these earnings. As you may know, I'm the only developer on this project and being able to hire someone to speed up all the development is one of my plans. Nevertheless, I'm currently unable to pay only myself so there's a need to gradually increase these earnings.

Here is now what will happen for next versions:
  • Don't be affraid, the engine will keep being free for non commecial use!
  • Each new major version will need a Patreon goal to be speed up (made in 3 weeks)

 

For example, for the next 1.7.0 version, the speed up development will be started only after reaching a $300 goal on Patreon. As long as the goal isn't reached, I won't progress on development but focus on communication to bring more people into the engine, work on future DLCs assets, and support and bug fixes. If the goal is reached before the end of 1.6.X, this version would be speed up too!

The next goals will be different amounts in order to gradually increase the earnings.

Also, note that you have a lot of advantages when becoming a Patron:
  • You can receive gifts (reduced price on commercial edition and future DLCs assets Steam keys) according to your total $
  • According to the tier you choose, you can have some special advantages (higher influence on next features, your games being showcased, your logo in the engine splashscreen...)

Fixes:

  • Command script: intergation of $object variable representing this object

  • Shake screen command: weird offset
  • Operation: divide by %

  • Mountain in depth: can't go back to 0 Y axis floor
  • Command move camera: change target weird behavior when not checking target offset move
  • Mountain with width = 0: collision problem
  • Can't open project message error issue
  • Cursors position changed in map editor when updating square size
