Update 94 The Triple

[h2]Proficiencies:[/h2]
  • Proficiencies for new armor types, Light, Medium, and Heavy were added.
  • 3 new proficiencies for troops, assault, defense, and tactical.
  • Ships now have a proficiency attached to them
  • Mining and recycling now have XP, like other proficiencies.
  • Mining and recycling proficiency levels now have passive bonuses/stat gains
  • Mining and recycling will now start as soon as you interact with it (no confirmation required)
  • Agility proficiency added (jumping/hovering/flying/dashing/running)


[h2]Sound effects:[/h2]
  • Footsteps will now sound differently depending on the terrain (mud, stone, deep water, shallow water, wood, metal)
  • Bipedal mech sound effects
  • Missile explosions sound effects
  • Laser beam impacts sound effects

[h2]Settings: [/h2]
  • added new graphical options (more fine-tuning for performance)
  • The game will now warn you if your config is too low to run the game properly
  • The auto pickup will now trigger when you open the chest that drops at the end of an event

[h2]SFX:[/h2]
  • Hits on different terrains will now show different special effects (mud, stone, deep water, wood, metal)
  • Hatchery eggs now have (a kickass) aura
  • The shotgun shield (right click) has been remade
  • New Shotgun hit and firing effects
  • New HUD effect on hit (shield)
  • New HUD effect on shield breaking
  • New HUD effect on hit (health)


[h2]Multiplayer:[/h2]
  • Teammates' status will now be shown by the color of their names:【NEEDS TESTING】
  • Red: In a fight (cannot join a battle)
  • Yellow: Busy (cannot join a battle)
  • Green: Idle/waiting (can join a battle)
  • (we’ll add an AFK marker in the future)
  • Both hosts and non-hosts will now see a summary of items received during the battles
  • This summary will now also display your proficiency progress (+2 pistol proficiency!)


[h2]Balance changes:[/h2]
  • Bipedal mechs can drop chests on kill
  • More pirates will spawn in all areas
  • Chests will spawn nearer to players after completing an activity
  • Weapon blueprints are now unlocked through their own proficiencies
  • Troops can now be upgraded
  • Equipment now has durability (weapons and armor)


[h2]Misc:[/h2]
  • Ships, troops, and vehicles now have durability as well
  • Battlefields now have fog that will clear up as you battle
  • Stores will now refresh their inventories when (and if) a caravan reaches them
  • Items cannot be discarded while in space
  • New chests, Medium and Large
  • The game now displays how much you played EFAS in the main menu
  • New recyclable trash model (space map)
  • Asteroid belts will slow down your ship
  • Certain tips will be displayed after you rest at a space station
  • The reward track quest can now be triggered through a phone call when reaching lvl5
  • The game will be prettier and use fewer resources on low quality
  • The star map will now show you colonies you have not visited as well
  • Elites will not drop chests but items

[h2]Notable changes[/h2]
  • We have a new holiday currency (not purchasable) that will allow you to unlock an exosuit skin (limited to this event) and/or can be exchanged for crafting resources.
    [h3]It is earned on the reward track so you need to finish the reward track quests in your new ship's -1 floor![/h3]

  • New Bridge (ship interior)!
    Thanks to The Originals, our fervent tester, for testing that out and helping us fix a few issues

  • Activities can now reward chests (content scales with difficulty)
    Thanks to The Originals for testing that as well and making sure rewards are adequate!

  • Elites and bosses can also drop chests

  • These chests have a new 3D model

  • Weapon synthesis will now be based on the weapon’s level, not its quality (crafting a white weapon at max lvl or upgrading a max lvl white weapon will require late-game components so no one gets stuck because of lacking materials)

  • Equipment now have durability

  • Equipment cannot be changed in battle

  • The creative tools from the main menu and ship’s bridge are temporarily removed

  • New holiday currency, the gingerbread man! (Redeemed in the synthesis menu)

  • The background pattern of your fleet’s flag can now be changed from your Arsenal

  • Conquest battles will now be done in waves


[h2]Proficiency Overhaul part 2 [/h2]

  • All weapons have a proficiency level

  • Category proficiencies (Firearms, Explosives, Melee…)

  • Archetype specialization(Only one as of now, Traditionalist), that act like classes

  • All have different bonuses and Exp gain conditions that are explained in the proficiency menu

The Traditionalist specialization affects the items we traditionally see in most FPS:
Grenades (solo and triple)
Heal (potions)
Shields (deployables)

Leveling Traditionalist unlocks these items as well as a passive set bonus (added to all traditionalist items equiped):
  1. 1 Traditionalist item equipped: While wearing any armor, dealing critical damage ignores X% of the enemies defense
  2. 2 Traditionalist item equipped: Increases critical damage dealt with ranged weapons by X%
  3. 3 Traditionalist item equipped: Gives X% chance to not consume a consumable when using it



[h2]Troops/Enemies[/h2]
  • New model for Kerhalen Warriors

  • New model for Kerhalen Elementalists

  • New passive ability for Kerhalens, Unburdened: Once their shield is empty they receive a boost in attack and defense.

  • Pem spiders and dragons projectiles should stop going through walls



[h2]UI[/h2]

  • New refuel tutorial video pop-up

  • The synthesis menu now correctly shows the number of troops trained/hatched for recipes

  • A small reminder will come to remind you there are unclaimed reward tracks rewards to unlock.

  • Daily mission descriptions will now include the expiration time

  • Pirate hunt missions will now always feature a UI pointer on the space map


[h2]Gameplay[/h2]

[h2]Balancing/Fixes[/h2]
  • Surrendering from an encounter will now cost 6% of your credits (was 5%)

  • The reward track unlock questline can be started at lvl1

  • Reward track unlocks were changed to be more interesting

  • Treasure maps bought in store are now more expensive

  • Upgrades unlocking piloting tanks/mechs are removed, they can be piloted without perks (it was
    unfun)

  • As pirate encounters’ difficulty was lowered, the chances they drop Treasure Map Trackers was lowered from 25 to 10%

  • Fixed an issue preventing players to purchase the mining unlock through the upgrade station

  • Refining a weapon from common to uncommon will now cost more materials

Update 92: A Way Forward

Version 92 is out!

[h2]Notable fixes/balancing and additions:[/h2]

  • The reward track is new and has a skin to unlock!

  • The ship can now move forward alone by pressing Num Lock (like WoW). Pressing it will toggle it, pressing it again will turn it off)

  • You can now use your mouse to interact with interest points that are close enough (if you are not in range, the cursor will be grey)

  • Weapon proficiency overhaul

  • Multiplayer improvement

  • The reward track is now cannon in-game through quests (to make it fit in better). The pre-requisite is now to finish those quests and hit level 6. Due to these new quests and the XP they bring, other early-game quests will give a bit less XP.

  • The battlefield combats (with army) received balancing

  • Quest items can now be dropped

  • You will now see who refused a vote in a squad

  • New Kerhalen Ships (non-obtainable for players at the moment)

  • New Giant Pem (non-pilotable at the moment)

  • Knife, added [REDACTED]

  • Saves should corrupt less often

  • All items are now 1x1 in the inventory

  • Enemy generation overhaul (When given a quest to attack Pems in a pirate exclusive zone, the game will spawn pems to allow you to complete your quest)

  • Captive enemies will now be sold for 10 credits (A bit too easy to farm so the price needs to be low)

  • The reward track cap is now 30 (From 60)

  • Level cap is now 35 (From 60)

  • Yekaterinburg will now sell 2 treasure map trackers (was 3 before) to encourage finding others through fighting pirates.

  • The maximum number of ships is now 3 and all upgrades related to fleet size are removed. (because all players ships will show up in multiplayer to a maximum of 12 (3 ships x 4 players)

  • Character upgrades now unlock after lvl6 (1 per level) to balance the experience and give a reason to level up. They also cost a bit more as currency should be needed at all times and not grow until you have hundred of thousands sitting in your inventory

  • Normal mode for hatcheries, comets and rifts will spawn less enemies

  • Pirate lairs number of bosses on each difficulty reduced from 2/3/4 to 1/2/4 (normal/heroic/mythic)

  • Iron will drop 50% more from recycling (from your feedback you weren’t getting enough)

  • Synthesis surprise upgrades (synthesizing higher quality than selected) will happen a bit more frequently

  • Battlefields can now spawn chests upon completion

  • Captive units can now stack up to 99 in inventory

  • New recruits are now snipers, unlock at lvl8 (was lvl3 before), Shield masters now unlock from lvl5 (was 8 before) and Simian units now unlock at lvl3 (was lvl5 before). (for a more diverse early game)

  • Fixed broken mods and skills (Bouncing Lightning, Portable Guided Missiles, and Lethal Magazine)

  • Dragon Pems shots have a new animations and should not go through walls anymore

Update 91 The Reward

[h2]Version 91 is here and it's a BIG ONE![/h2]

  • FULL REWORK OF THE GAME'S BACKEND, MULTIPLAYER SHOULD BE SMOOTHER

  • WE’VE ADDED A REWARD TRACK! It grants PERMANENT unlocks but is locked to specific versions. (end time for the first one, December 8th). Reward tracks will unlock permanent rewards like skins, emotes, titles.... (It's free)

  • Movement of the ship restrained to WASD

  • Pressing M will now show a view of the whole galaxy

  • 2 new battlefields have been added for encounters

  • The equipment upgrading system has been overhauled

  • The knife can be thrown from further away but the damage gets reduced the further you are from your target

  • Picking up an item will now also display the information in the chatbox, allowing you to scroll and check

  • Selling an item will now need confirmation as items cannot be bought back

  • New sounds:
    -New pistol sound effects
    -New SMG sound effects
    -New bow sound effects
    -New acid spitter sound effects
    -New grenade launcher sound effect
    -New rifle sound effects

  • Losing a battle will not cost credits anymore

  • The second floor of the ship is unlockable after lvl5

  • Comets, pirate lairs and hatcheries expert and master difficulty are now more different than one another as master is now harder due to the points it grants for the reward tracks

  • Comets will grant more rewards upon completion, since it is a pretty hard activity the rewards should match the effort you put in.

  • Treasure map trackers are now sold in shops. As pirate lairs grant points for the reward track we do not want players to feel punished because they cannot drop one from encounters.

  • Pirate lairs will now primarily award credits to differentiate it further from all the activities and because it fits the pirates’ theme and lore.

  • There are now 11 daily quests per day

  • The grenade launcher’s range has been reduced from 200m base +20 per rarity to 120m base + 10 per rarity. The grenade launcher is too strong long range and has been adjusted to make it a strong close-range weapon to fit its intended design.

  • Blueprints using prisoners will be unlocked at the same time as the ones that don’t to allow them to be used earlier. (captive pirate fighter “conversion” and the pirate fighter blueprint will be unlocked at the same time)

  • Enemies in hatcheries will spawn from further away to make the combat experience more enjoyable. More enemies will spawn as they are further away

Update 90 The Pick Up

[h2]Hello everyone V90 is out![/h2]

  • It comes with a heavily requested feature, Auto-pick-up! Everything will be automatically added to your inventory after a battle. (in multiplayer this is done randomly for now)
  • Ship movement is now restricted to WASD/ZQSD for movement, interaction with nearby objects is done with E
  • The ship now has brand new living quarters
  • New sound effects and voicelines:
    -Ship firing
    -AI Death sound
    -AI Movement sound effects
    -AI Taunts
    -Emote sounds/voice lines
    -Troops receiving order voice lines
  • Items can now be linked into the chatbox
  • After an involuntary disconnection, the game will try to reconnect automatically
  • The purchase and sale price of an item have been separated more clearly in the UI
