Hotfix Update v1.2.6

Hello Admirals,

This is another small update addressing things you reported the last days,

*Hotfix Update v1.2.6*
- Fixed problem that could not allow an alliance to become canceled. Now all alliances can become canceled with a successful diplomatic action, when a war is over.
- Fixed a bug that did not allow trade for used ships. Now you should receive orders for your mothballed ships.
- Fixed a UI bug that was caused in the "Shared Designs" interface when browsing design years while a gun category was selected.
- Fixed a critical bug that could make the research UI to not function properly and not allow to see research history per category.
- Reduced significantly the power of submarines against many warships.
- Possible fix for a very rare case that could make a gun not able to rotate at target (still, if a player turns his fast ships too much and plays in super fast forward, it may happen, but very sporadically).
- Fixed errors that could make initial ship formations too close to each other and so very hard to switch to another state without collisions.
- Improved auto-targeting to switch more effectively.
- Some minor text errors due to "wip" localization fixed.
- Further increase in ship maintenance cost, in order to progressively increase the campaign's financial challenge.

No more small updates are planned, unless absolutely necessary, in order to prepare for the next Major Beta Update which will include new weather features, new 3D models and many more.

Small Update v1.2.5 Rx3

Hello Admirals,

We offer another update which improves the game on various aspects. Please read:

*Small Update v1.2.5 Rx3*
  • Further fixes and improvements on the alliance system, so that urgent alliances are formed more consistently. The improvements can be noticed only in a new campaign, as older saves may have diplomatic issues which are unsolvable. There is a known problem that can cause a nation to not be added in the alliance window in the top left corner but we will repair it soon.
  • Balanced the campaign's economy by increasing the transport capacity cost.
  • Fixed various Naval invasion bugs that were reported. Some map ports such as the area near Seattle, that cannot be reached will be addressed soon.
  • Fixed some borders of the map that had errors, such as in Hawaii and other areas. In the next major update the map will have a full update that will define all provinces' borders.
  • Simulated gun barrel erosion, so that there is a diminishing effect on accuracy for gun barrels that produce very high muzzle velocity for the shells. This improvement realistically balances the gun accuracy and fixes the human player exploit to create ships with overpowered long barrel guns with extreme accuracy.
  • Fine tuning in gun aiming mechanics so that accuracy is balanced more realistically in all ranges, fixing issues where accuracy could become too low.
  • Improved the auto-targeting mechanics.
  • Battle AI further improvement.
  • Fixed a rare bug that caused ships to freeze during battle.
  • Improved slightly the ship evasion mechanics.
  • Submarine combat power balance, making them a little harder to become detected but also less likely to cause overwhelming damage to warships.
  • Various other minor fixes and improvements.
Note: The game gets continuous work for preparing the language localization. If you notice a problem in texts somewhere in the game, please notify us to fix promptly.

2/3/2023 Uploaded repaired version including the following:
- Fix of potential crash after a campaign battle.
- Fixed some temporary text/localization errors.
- Fixed some remaining issues with Alliances. The Alliance window in the top left corner can still have not accurate information. We will remove it and the space will be replaced by info tabs that will replace the many pop-up windows that appear each turn.
- Campaign AI will scrap obsolete ships more efficiently.

3/3/2023 Uploaded repaired version including the following:
- Fixed fully a crash error, caused when a peace treaty was requested right after a campaign battle. We are sorry for the temporary inconvenience but temporarily the peace treaty text will show not correct, because of this fix. We decided to offer the repair that will allow you to play without any game breaking issue, and we will fix the related text tomorrow.
- Fixed Cyrillic text appearing in politics info.
- Fixed speed info in ship tooltip.

4/3/2023 Uploaded repaired version including the following:
- Fixed text code issues in peace treaty window.
- Removed Alliance window in the top right window, as it could have inconsistent information. In the next major patch, we will add event tabs to replace the window pop ups of each turn.
- Battle AI optimizations.
- Submarine average damage to fleets became reduced.

Hotfix Update v1.2.4

Hello Admirals,

The inconsistent "blocked" shell hits were fixed thanks to the continuous reports by kind players and the very helpful feedback of YouTuber "BrotherMunro". So we had to offer this small update.

*Hotfix Update v1.2.4*
- Fixed a long standing problem that caused shell hits to be blocked in unarmored surfaces or not be checked fully and thus resulting in an internal game exception = block.
- Increased the base deck penetration slightly.
- Battle AI adjustments to follow the new improvements.

Small Update v1.2.3 R

Hello everyone,

After your recent reports, we decided to offer another set of game improvements which are the following:

*Small Update v1.2.3 Repaired*
  • Improved gun fire control, addressing remaining targeting issues. Now the guns should fire from both sides very effectively, while the fps performance during combat should be increased.
  • Penetration mechanics further improvements and balance. The estimation should match more to the data of the penetration tables, but please note that the data is indicative and should not be granted as a norm during combat, due to the many variables involved.
  • Alliance mechanics improvement so that an urgent alliance is formed against a common enemy, so that there are no more unstable, individual wars against a major alliance, which caused bugs in land battle and blockade mechanics. For example, previously Germany and Austria could have an alliance and Britain and France could fight against them but Britain and France were not in an alliance, creating many illogical happenings in the campaign. With this improvement, the alliance window in the upper left corner should always update promptly with the nations involved in a major war. This fix needs a new campaign to apply fully, and cannot repair issues of an ongoing campaign.
  • Improved campaign mechanics so that nations will not dissolve so easily due to losing an amount of their home provinces and also the nations that reappear should now not disappear the next turn, if they have no port yet.
  • Campaign's economy should now be more demanding after increasing ship maintenance.

  • Fixed submarines over 3000 tons to not consistently work in the game interface.
  • Various other minor fixes and improvements.

Hotfix Update v1.2.2 R

Dear Admirals,

We provide the following fixes and improvements with goal to be the last set of urgent hotfixes after the full release.

*Hotfix Update v1.2.2*
- Fixed some temporary text errors caused by the localization base we added in the previous patch.
- Improved Peace treaty mechanics so that when a nation loses a war and asks for peace, then all other enemies are informed with an event, and reparations are shared according to the VP advantage. War reparations will not be granted if a member of the winning alliance had less VP than the enemy.
- Adjusted fuel consumption formula in battle to work more dynamically, according to cruising speed.
- Shared designs can now be deleted from the game's interface.
- Now nations without a port will dissolve, fixing previous issues when a major nation could still have fleets and ship production but without any port left.
- Further aiming smoothing according to range.
- Some other minor fixes.

If a game breaking bug is reported to us, we will try to address promptly, else we will have to pause the very frequent patching and provide in a few weeks the next major patch which will have the new hulls and weather environments.
