Patch 2.2.3 - Healing Aura added, Portuguese (Brazil) Localization, Waypoints

Patch 2.2.3

Portuguese (Brazil) has been added to the game by @Basilio! We also have a Portuguese language channel on the discord.

Waypoints should now be visible to your teammates. Use [T] by default to communicate to your teammate!

Healing Aura has been added to the game. This is a 10s CD ability that lasts for 10s and gives you 1HP/s. It also works on your teammate if they are within 3200 range (about the size of smoke screen).

Balance Changes:

Instant Heal:
- Now heals your teammate for 15. 3200 radius.

Sprint:
- Now gives your teammate a 50% movement speed buff. 3200 radius.

EntanglingWall:
- Will now properly block abilities.
- Will no longer block visibility of enemy health bars.

ImpalingShot:
- Particle effect updated to better help track the direction.

Bugfixes:
- Spectator and Deathcam should behave properly. Let us know of any errors.
- Some air friction has been added to game. This should help alleviate the hook bug until we can find a more appropriate fix.
- Server performance has increased drastically.
- Daily reward message will now be localized.
- Fixes to firewall permissions. Steam should now properly add the firewall rule even if players miss the pop-up. Thanks @Melock for helping us track down the issue.

Community Events:

Patch 2.2.2 - German Localization! Performance improvements.

Patch 2.2.2

German localization has been added to the game by @The Hakon ! Be sure to be welcome to all our new players. A new language channel has been added to the Discord.

Balance Changes:

Poison Spit
- Size increased from 32 -> 50
- Tick timer reduced from 2s -> 1.5s

Rising Wall
- Significantly reduced its speed. This is a quick way to nerf it throwing people super high. A more elegant solution will come later.

Bug fixes:
- A whole host of spectator fixes. Please let us know if you see any.
- Fixed all known cases of projectiles improperly playing their explosion cues.
- Spearthrow will no longer explode on smokescreen when you are close to the edge of the smoke.
- Fixed bug north of cathedral where you could spawn below map and die at beginning of the game.
- Reworked how most movement abilities worked. Should reduce errors and weird occurrences of flying too far.
- Fixed all known server crashes and drastically improved server performance. Please let us know if you see any crashes if playing with friends.

Patch 2.2.1 GravityOrb and Poison Spit added, Less abilities on map

GravityOrb:
A 15 damage projectile that will launch enemies hit to its center location. Larger and slower than a normal projectile.

Poison Spit:
A damage over time projectile with special rules. Does 1 damage on application and every 2 seconds for 10 seconds (6 damage total). Stacks infinitely and each hit you make refreshes ALL stacks on the target. Has a 1s cooldown. Great for keeping people in combat to prevent them from healing.

Pedestals now only have 2 abilities instead of 3. We hope this has a few effects since you won't find the abilities you want as often.
1) Encourage more build diversity
2) Give newer players more time to learn the game by preventing veteran players from stacking movement in the first 30 seconds and rushing them down.
3) Increasing the time it takes to explore all the abilities.

Anti-projectile Shield:
- Size increased by 25%
- New sexy particle effect

Backstab:
- Backstab is now more generous in considering you behind your opponent. (90 degrees -> 160 degrees)
- Fixed bug where if you were slightly above or below your target you might not get credit.
- Fixed bug where if you had been hit by backstab multiple times you would take damage when hit in front.


BlinkBehind:
- Range increased from 2000 -> 2250
- Fixed bug where you would sometimes not teleport. You will still fail to teleport if you are falling too fast. We will fix this last edge case in a future patch.
- You will now be closer to your target when using BlinkBehind
- Now marked as a utility (green) spell

Dragons Breath:
- Now marked as a melee (red) spell

Fireball:
- Fixed bug where you could hit players behind you on cast

Rising Wall:
- Length increased by 2x

SiphonChain:
- Leash duration 4 -> 7
- Damage/Heal per tick 2 -> 1
Smoke Screen:
- Now applies a 50% movement speed buff for 4.5s to yourself AND teammates
- This effect CANNOT stack and won't be refreshed if you get hit by another friendly smokebomb while it is active. [Don't stack smoke bombs my friends]

Soul Anchor:
- Now anchors you significantly higher. (easier to anchor people jumping mid air)
- Cooldown 1.25s -> 1s
- Projectile collision increased 32 -> 50 to better match mesh.

Tornado:
- Cooldown 5.5s -> 4s

Localization:
- Chinese localization has been updated. Thanks to DongYang Li.

Quality of Life:
- Lillypads no longer have collision on them.
- Zone now closes slightly slower. You should be able to outrun without movement abilities.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a rare crash when the zone would spawn in.
- Team member UIs should no longer jitter on some resolutions.
- Potential fix for falling through the map when on top of VineCage or RisingWall
- The zone will now show the correct height. The actual height is the same, the effect is just fixed.
- Fix for damage recap system that should increase server performance.
- Projectiles should no longer play both the environment hit and character hit projectiles
- Fixed a bug where knockpunch had fireball as its name

Patch 2.2.0 - Chinese localization, Keybindings Fixed

We now have full localization support for Chinese! Also some changes to increasing the stability of game servers.

Note: Keybindings will be reset this patch again to fix some issues we caused last patch and allow for localization. They should be more stable in future patches.

[h2]Quality of Life Features:[/h2]
- Clients now use DNS name to instead of raw IP address to connect to game servers (should improve network routing)
- Fonts now support symbols, emojis, and dingbats (so you can properly show off your fancy Steam names)
- Updated end game screen to more clearly show rewarded coin quantity
- Saved input settings are now validated to protect against starting games with busted key bindings

[h2]Bug Fixes: [/h2]
- Kill notifications no longer say "Someone" when killed by the zone
- Fixed a client side memory leak
- Fixed bug where ForwardDashAttack would sometimes never end block further ability activations (please let us know if someone experiences this after this patch)
- Fixed a handful of potentially problematic pointers in the code (less likely to cause server crashes)
- Fixed a bug where zone would continue to close when game has ended (potential cause for some server crashes)

Patch 2.1.5 - Soul Anchor Buffed. News Network. Matchmaking Changes.

We are currently working localizations and have the strings ready. If you'd like to help localize the game to your language please contact BlueFire (Shaun) on discord. Thanks to @Heartman, @The Hakon, and @Davidisacookie for volunteering so far.

Matches should form faster. Games of 2 or 3 players will now be forced to be solo matches even if you had queued with a partner.

Valgrave News Network added! Now we can communicate to players in client without having to push a patch.

Version Checker Added! In future versions you will now get a notification if you are on an old patch. Should help people update to the new patch quicker.

Attempted to troubleshoot more connection issues to the server. More error messages should show. Please let us know if you get one of these error messages.

Balance Changes:

Grapple:
- New look.

Soul Anchor:
- Cooldown 2.5s -> 1.25s
- Speed 6000 -> 10000
- Leash Range 1000 -> 500

Shield Counter:
- Damage 25 -> 15

Bugfix:
- Default Arthur has been set to blue.
- Fixed a server crash caused by players dying to a DoT from a person they had killed.
- Health bars now correctly display while spectating
- Health bars should now show Korean characters correctly.
