NEW RUNS
I'm very happy to announce two runs have been added!
Isaiah run and the Sword Only run.
Sword only runs grabs everything that makes Wally unique and gets rid of everything else. It's a very fast hacky and slashy game and the ONLY mode where you can use the sword by rolling into them. It's a mode that is made for someone who has nothing to prove and just wants to unwind after a long day.
Isaiah's run is inspired by Isaac. No roll dodge, you can only shoot in 4 directions. It's catered for the tryhard rogue-lite fans.
Why I decided to add Isaiah and the Sword Only mode modes.
At its core, Roguelites are delivering a power fantasy. You start out weak, trying your best to find the tools needed to create an unstoppable build. The stronger you are at the beginning the harder it is to create the feeling of growth.
When I set out to make Wally I had NO idea what I was doing. I just wanted to make a game that felt fun to play, which is what the boomerang/sword run is about.
As a result, Sword Run is a hack and slash first with light Roguelite elements second. It plays better to the feeling of speed that makes Wally unique.
Next, I want to the exact opposite, what if we went through the deep end on the other side, we made a traditional rogue-lite! Went really ham, made you weak as heck in the beginning so that by the end you'll be an unstoppable glass cannon. The underlying reason why we play roguelike/lites!
This is what Isaiah mode is about.

MAJOR CHANGES
- Major Audio Overhaul. Thank you for purchasing Wally during the Sale, this gave me a bunch of money that I immediately used to buy as many audio assets as possible! I then spent 2 weeks overhauling as much of the game audio as possible to raise it all up in quality!
- Added Accessibility options (this allows you to make yourself invincible, give yourself unlimited stamina or change the auto-aim feature in the controller)
- Added music to shops (ahh yiis)
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
- Changed how the key works now when you pick up a piece it will force your next 2 upgrades to keys! Then you’ll get a really good upgrade. (typically one of the upgrades you get from defeating bosses)
- Before fighting the manta boss, the upgrade Rocket boots will spawn. You can take it to jump during the manta boss fight instead of floating.
- New upgrade: Suspiciously Nice Goose, +40% of getting a bomb when entering a new floor.
- New upgrade: Silly Straw, +15% of finding a good upgrade from chests
- Removed Stamina buddy from blue chests. (happened way too often)
- Sword Run: Start out with Max Range
- Sword Run: Start out with +5 max hearts
- Sword Run: Start out with 3 options to choose from
- Sword Run: Kills refill your stamina completely
- Hug Shop: Added a new item: pay 1 heart for 1 random upgrade
- Hug Shop: Increased bombs given to you from +3 to +5 bombs for 1 heart
- Removed 4 way bombs from upgrades
- Added 4 way bombs to curses
- Upgrade Change: Loot box. (OLD: Refill your Stamina after destroying a box) (New: Get 1 second of unlimited stamina after destroying a box)
- New Upgrade Box Boy, +3 seconds of crits after destroying a box
- New Upgrade ANGRY RED BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining you have unlimited ammo
- New Upgrade ANGRY BLUE BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining increase your attack by 40%
- New Upgrade ANGRY GREEN BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining increase your attack speed by 40%
- New Upgrade ANGRY YELLOW BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining increase your crit chance by 30%
- New Upgrade ANGRY PINK BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining increase your evasion by 40%
- New Upgrade ANGRY LIME BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining increase your speed by 40%
- New Upgrade ANGRY GUM BOX, While you have ¼ of a heart remaining your sword has doubled damage
- Boomerang Mirror will only show up in boomerang run
- Removed Fire sword
- Added +50 Coins to the blue gem pool
- DOUBLE weapon ammo upgrade will no longer show up in the first dungeon (so that it can give you some more time to find a weapon as finding it early can be pretty bad)
- Added +2 Max STAMINA to boss rewards
Isaac Run Changes
- Spiderwebs Spiderwebs slow you down and don’t stop bullets
- Isaac only run the upgrade: +10 movement speed (+ignore spider web speed penalty)
- Antlion charge attack is less accurate.
Enemy Changes
- Crocodile shoots fewer bullets
- Crocodile health reduced from 4 -> 3
- Hp reduction to the spiders
- Dragon Boss fireballs fire speed lowered by 50%
- Dragon Boss Camera Lock zoom lowered from 300% to 150% (Dragon boss will now shoot slower but it’ll be more zoomed into your own character)
- Snails no longer move during the Spooky ghost intro
Bug fixes
- Fixed crash in boomerang run.
- Quests are now centered
- Fixed a glitch that would cause the mysterious ghost to one-shot the fox lion
- Manta Boss colors fixed

- Fixed a bug that caused the light to shrink when falling down
- Fix a bug that made the hud get smaller when you pause while talking to cutscenes
