A Big Post-Launch Thank You + Upcoming Changes
Before we get into the upcoming changes, we'd like to express our appreciation for all the feedback we've received thus far.
We are incredibly flattered by the bombardment of lovely things we have read. Thank you SO much for taking the time to leave a review. Not only are they an absolute joy to read, they also help us massively. Every review gives the game that little bit extra of a chance to reach others, so if you feel this game deserves to be seen by more people, you know what to do!
On a similar note, if you know anyone who you think might enjoy this silly world we’ve created, we STRONGLY encourage you to tell them about it, especially while this 15% launch discount is still going strong! 😉
THANK YOU.
Now, onto what's coming.
We'll be releasing a patch VERY SOON with a number of fixes and changes. Aside from the GAME BREAKING BUG FIXES, they're mostly minor changes. However, we've been listening to feedback about the keyboard controls and WE HEAR YOU. So, this next patch will feature a change to those default controls. Here's what's changing:
This mirrors the control scheme we used for the majority of the game's development, including the demo and beta. Our reasons for deviating from this scheme had to do with the SHIFT key having conflicts in Steam's overlay and in WIndows itself (hello sticky keys) but after much deliberation, we think it's ultimately the most comfortable control scheme.
That being said, we are planning to add the ability to rebind the keyboard controls, but it's going to take some time. We're hoping these changes make things a little less frustrating for the folks who don't find enter/backspace ideal until then. Of course, we will always advise people to play with a controller regardless, as that's the PREMIUM experience.
We know it's not great to be changing the keybinds on people now that they've had the chance to get used to them, but this is one of those things that simply gets worse the longer you wait. We hope you can forgive this gaming faux pas and get used to the new field ability key quickly and without too much trouble. Just make sure to turn off sticky keys!
THANKS AGAIN for the WARMEST of receptions. Love to see people really enjoying the game!
