Larian has re-released Hotfix 4 for Baldur's Gate 3 after it pulled it earlier due to causing some games to crash.
Because of the issue the hotfix caused. the team is changing how it deploys patches from here on out.
While Hotfix 4 went through a "rigorous QA pipeline" and was confirmed as a candidate for release, a rebuild of the version was created relatively last minute to change the version number. That version was unfortunately plagued by compiler corruption, causing certain exceptions that normally wouldn’t cause crashes.
