2:00 pm EST, the Operation: Valor Demo will be available for download. Before you merrily jump into the game, I have a few things I wish to say.
INTRO
Please note that the game is a WIP demo and it is only to showcase our abilities in making the game. The demo will be free forever, but will not have all of our game modes.
There will be a kickstarter. Most of the game modes that we wish to complete will cost us quite a bit of funds (servers, environmental artists, expanding our team in general, etc.). So, our main goal for the kickstarter is to hurry this process. If it does not succeed, we will eventually finish those tasks but at a later date.
FEATURES
For the demo, there will only be five weapons; the KP-22 (Rifle), M174 (Rifle), MG9 (SMG), P1912 (Pistol) and a grenade. We have many more planned; the SB-89 (Sniper), Maekpup (Burst Rifle), Famar (Burst Rifle), SHA-55 (Shotgun), and the L12 (Rifle).
For now, the only medication that we have in-game is the Med-Kit. It restores 50% of your health, and it takes 2 seconds to pick up. Similar to dropped grenades; they can be found around the map, but only meds cannot be picked up. Eventually, you will be able to buy medications and use them.
Outfits/clothes can only be changed by switching faction/creating another character. You will be able to customize them further later on.
Besides the outfit, there are no faction benefits/purpose to choosing a faction. This will come later, and will be a part of our kickstarter under our 'Faction War'.
There will be only two pieces of armor for now; the Kolhelm (Helmet) and a SWAT vest. There are many more planned.
We will be introducing a XP system called 'Valor' later on, which will level you up based on your actions and give you unlockables. For now, we only have the funds system.
TIPS & TRICKS
- Use the middle-mouse button to orbit the camera, right-mouse button to aim. M is for Map, F is for Flashlight.
- Looting is quick and easy, and (for now) gives you a lot of funds. You shouldn't run out of funds.
- There is a very rewarding accuracy system. Shoot as if you're running out of ammo, and you'll win every fire fight.
- TTK (Time To Kill) is different for every weapon and depends on the armor set. You can see the damage/armor stats in the Loadout screen. Every UNC (enemy faction AI, United Nation Coalition) and player starts off with 100 health. As you buy armor, there will be a damage reduction for every bullet/grenade.
- If you wish to report a bug, give feedback or any other compliment; press F8 while in game. This will connect you directly to us, the developers, through Trello API.
