  • New Support Spell - Bestow Vitality: Cast an orb that bestows health to an ally it hits. Consumes 1 potion. Applies all potion effects gained from talents.
  • Right-click shop items to set buy quantity


IMPROVED
  • Orias - Weapons Training: Melee effect is now usable while dual wielding.
  • Modified Song of Fire and Song of Ice VFX to improve visual clarity.
  • Improved animation selection logic for Firebolt, Frostbolt, and Thunderbolt spells.
  • Clarified the wording of Heavy Shielding: While you have a shield equipped, you parry all attacks during parry window.

Massive Melee Update - 5 New Skills, New Talents, Buffs, Improvements, and Fixes

NICE THINGS

  • Completing Meditation now resets all cooldowns.
  • Meditation time to complete reduced from 5 to 4 seconds.
  • You can now link equipment in chat by Ctrl-Clicking it while in a party.
  • Added Ring and Amulet filters to Stash.
  • New Steam Achievements for completing Invasion Levels 50, 75, and 100


STAMINA CHANGES

  • Melee skills now cost Stamina instead of (or in addition to) Mana.
  • All melee skills that strike with a weapon (not a shield) now proc most effects that would proc on Standard Attacks.
  • Dodge Rolls can now be queued.
  • Max Stamina scaling from mods reduced from +3 to +2.5 per mod level
  • Base Stamina Regen reduced from 30 to 20
  • Stamina Regen scaling from mods increased from .15 to .25 per mod level, and base amount increased from 0 to 1 (Note: A level 30 mod now provides 8.5 regen, up from 4.5)
  • Dodge Roll stamina cost reduced from 100 to 50
  • Talents which affect Dodge Roll stamina costs have had their values modified proportionally
  • Stamina Regeneration while blocking reduced from 50% to 33%


SKILLS

[h2]NEW SKILLS[/h2]

  • New 2H Melee Skill - Vicious Spin: Spin and deal 200% weapon damage to all nearby enemies. Swords will Bleed targets for the damage dealt over 5 seconds. Axes apply 1 stack of Sunder, causing targets to take 5% more damage from all sources (max 5 stacks). Maces knock back targets.
  • New 2H Melee Skill - Guard Stance: While channeled, 50% of damage is taken from stamina before health and stamina regeneration is slowed.
  • New 1H Melee Skill - Riposte: Use your weapons to parry an incoming attack. Successful parries also deal 150% combined weapon damage to the target. Damage received from parried attacks is reduced by 20% and taken from Stamina before Health.
  • New Melee Skill - Ruthless Charge: Quickly dash forward. On colliding with an enemy, attack for 100% combined weapon damage.
  • New Support Skill - Bestow Mercy: Cast an orb that bestows Mercy to an ally it hits, negating the next attack they receive within 2 seconds.

[h2]CHANGED SKILLS[/h2]
Aggravating Shout Rework: Taunt nearby enemies for 6 seconds and gain 1 stack of Aggravating per target affected. Each stack of Aggravating increases Stamina Regeneration by 5 per second. Elite enemies generate 2 stacks, and Boss enemies generate 3 stacks.

[h3]FUNCTION CHANGES[/h3]

  • Runic Serration now Bleeds for 40% of each hit over 5 seconds (From 20% over 5 seconds).
  • Lacerating Strike now hits all targets in range.
  • Lacerating Strike now uses multiple animations.
  • Shockwave cooldown reduced from 8 to 4 seconds.
  • Shockwave now creates more distance between each AoE when used with the new talent, Catastrophic Impacts.
  • Leap Smash cooldown reduced from 3 to 2 seconds.
  • Quicken Shout and Quicken Aura now have a Boon Intensity Effectiveness of 50%. This means that 50% of Boon Intensity is applied.

[h3]COST CHANGES[/h3]
  • All Aura mana costs increased from 30 to 35 per second.
  • Backstab - Now costs 150 Stamina (From 130 Stamina) and requires a 1H Sword equipped
  • Whirlwind - Now costs 100 Stamina per second (From 60 Mana per second)
  • Rapid Fire - Stamina cost reduced from 50 to 25, and is affected by the new Mighty Warrior and Precision Fighter talents
  • Shield Slam - Stamina cost reduced from 100 to 75
  • Siphon Strike - Now costs 75 Mana and 75 Stamina (From 125 Mana)
  • Chilling Strike - Now costs 75 Mana and 75 Stamina (From 125 Mana)
  • Voltaic Thrust - Now costs 100 Mana and 100 Stamina (From 100 Mana)
  • Flash Dagger - Now costs 75 Mana and 75 Stamina (From 100 Mana)

  • New T1 Talent - Catastrophic Impacts: Area effects from damaging skills that cost stamina have a 30% larger area.
  • New T1 Talent - Blood and Sweat: Stamina costs reduced by 20%. You take damage equal to half of Stamina spent.
  • New T2 Talent - Mighty Warrior: Damaging skills that cost Stamina consume 25% more Stamina and deal 30% more damage.
  • New T2 Talent - Unstoppable: Receive 15% more damage. Become immune to hitstun.
  • Vampiric Potion moved to T1

[h2]OTHER[/h2]

  • Heightened Spell and Greater Heightened Spell now only affect skills that cost mana, and increase only the mana cost on those skills.
  • Skills that have both a Mana Cost and Stamina Cost are affected by Mighty Warrior, Precision Fighter, and both Heightened Spell talents.
  • Spellsurge - Movement speed boost decreased from 100% to 50%
  • Inspiring Defense - Boon Intensity reduced from 100% to 75%
  • Telepathic Bond - Boon Intensity reduced from 100% to 75%

[h2]PASSIVES[/h2]

  • All Critical Chance and Critical Damage passives changed to 2.5% per point (some were higher than this, some were lower)
  • All Attack Speed passives changes to 2.5% per point (some were higher than this, some were lower)
  • Cooldown Reduction passives increased from 2% to 2.5% per point
  • Max Stamina passives increased from 10 to 12.5 per point
  • All Resist passives increased from 2.5% to 3.5% per point
  • Magic Find passives reduced from 3% to 2% per point
  • Lower Mana Cost passives increased from 1% to 2% per point
  • Health Regeneration passives increased from 1 to 1.25 per point
  • Boon Intensity passives changed to 5% per point


ITEMS

  • The Ordained - Now doubles the damage of Consecration while you are within it, in addition to its existing effects.


BALANCE

  • Boon Intensity scaling reduced from 1% to 0.75% per mod level, base amount reduced from 4% to 3.25%
  • Increased the drop rate of Crescendos.
  • Slowed the attack speed of most enemies.
  • Reduced the amount of movement speed and attack speed granted to enemies by the Lightning Mage's buff.
  • Increased the animation speed of the player's second 2H melee attack animation.


IMPROVED

  • Player and Enemy Nameplates now scale by distance.
  • Ravager and Avatar bosses will no longer feint attacks.
  • Skill Merchant now lists skills alphabetically.
  • Potential performance improvements.


FIXED

  • Fixed Bow skills not being affected by Heightened Spell talents.
  • Fixed Whirlwind not dealing combined weapon damage while dual wielding melee weapons
  • Fixed a bug where non-existent mod slots would show on jewelry in the shop's buyback menu
  • Fixed Greater Heightened spell increasing mana costs by 30% instead of 25% as stated in the description
  • Fixed Shatter Nova not dealing double damage if enemies were affected by stacking Chill effects.
  • Fixed Mystic Arrow sometimes dealing no damage.
  • Fixed Act Bosses giving significantly more XP than intended.
  • Fixed a bug where Whirlwind would not cast after a Dodge Roll if its hotkey was held down.
  • Fixed Stamina Regeneration buffs from spell effects not being reflected in the stat readout.
  • Fixed characters being able to level beyond 30.
  • Fixed clients in multiplayer not seeing an accurate readout of Mana Shield remaining.
  • Fixed some bugs with Fireball's collision.
  • Fixed many VFX not playing in multiplayer.
  • Fixed Sinister Flare appearing to bounce instead of stick for players who did not cast it.

Stat Visual Bugfix, Translation Update

Fixed a bug with the Stat Overview on the inventory menu displaying the incorrect amount of bonus health.

Player Health Rebalance

TL;DR Health tanks previously had more than 11x the health of glass cannons. They now have 5.8x the health. (3,500 HP is the new 5,000 HP Tank, 600 HP is the new 450 HP glass cannon)

Health per Level increased from 5 to 10
Max Health and Max Mana scaling from mods reduced from +5 to +3 per mod level

[h2]Dev Notes[/h2]
  • A Level 30 character with no talents or items will now have a base health of 590 (up from 445), providing a better base for characters that are not focused on health.
  • This change will also reel in Max Health stacking characters, which were tanky to the point of breaking game balance.
