Welcome to Challenge Island!

HUGE game update this week! You've been asking for it and now we've delivered. We have completely overhauled the input sensitivity system to give you a much more reliable experience when training with Aim FTW.

We have also added two NEW environments: Training Grounds and Challenge Island. The former is a great way to learn how Aim FTW works and setup your sensitivities with our new system. The latter is a much-optimized replacement for the original environment. It loads up to 5 times faster and greatly reduces in-game lag and latency.

Sensitivity and Statistics Updates

Two game updates this week! We have added new post-match statistics, ADS and Sniper Scope-specific Sensitivity Sliders, mini game preview videos and a few other small adjustments to the games.

Post-Match Statistics break down how your score compares to both other players and your mini game averages. There are now 3 panels visible on the Stats page in game.
  • Match Summary - a graphical breakdown of how your match performance compares to Aim FTW averages in five key categories.
  • Last Match Stats - the raw stats from your most recent match.
  • Overall Stats - your historical statistics for all mini games.
ADS and Sniper Scope Sensitivities allow you to customize your mouse sensitivity while aiming down sights.
  • ADS X and Y sensitivity sliders affect aiming down sights (ADS) with all weapons except the Sniper Rifle.
  • Sniper Scope X and Y sensitivity sliders affect aiming down sights with the Sniper Rifle.
Additional Improvements:
  • Added Preview Videos to each Mini Game so you can catch a glimpse of the game type before playing.
  • Added the first run-through video to our YouTube channel which details the mechanics behind Quick Hands.
  • Increased all Sensitivity Sliders maximum value from 10 to 20 for players with low DPI.

Release #6 is live! We have added visual feedback for Hits, Misses and Kills of Targets & Monsters so that you can tell how well you are performing. There are four types of notifications:

  • Experience earned from destroying targets and monsters is green and floats up (Example: Green +10XP).

New Graphics, Tiers, Weather, Death Animations and more!

Today we are trying out a new feature by adding tiers to players’ Mini Game Profiles. In addition to a numerical leaderboard ranking, scores are grouped by tiers so that you can have a rough understanding of where you stand skill-wise. You may have already noticed these from their distinctive icons on the leaderboard.

Each week you will receive a tier for each Mini Game based on how you have performed so far with an additional Overall tier that averages all of your Mini Game tiers together to provide one overall grade.

  • There are 7 tiers. Each represents a grade of how high your score ranks compared to other players. Here they are in order from best to not-so-best:
    • S Class
    • A Class
    • B Class
    • C Class
    • D Class
    • E Class
    • F Class
  • Each tier has its own distinct icon (visible on the Leaderboards).
  • Tiers will update every week at 1PM Eastern Time. So make sure you stay on top of your game or your tier might slip!
  • The first update will happen later today.
  • New Players will have the initial tier of “Pending” on their profiles until the tiers are generated for that week.
  • Let us know what you think of this new feature!

Other Improvements:

  • Upgraded the Graphics drastically.
  • Added a new Graphics Quality setting to adjust the quality in game.
  • Add more shadows to the Ultra Quality Level.
  • Added ragdoll death animations to all Monsters.
  • Updated Target Explosion Sounds.
  • Added Mouse Invert Option.
    • To use this, you will need to set Mouse Input to “Smooth.”
  • Fixed an issue with the camera where the terrain was flickering.
  • Fixed a bug where the Store page was saying “Leaderboards” instead of “Coming Soon™”.
  • Added a Random Weather Setting -> let us know if you want to see more of this!
    • New Day/Night System.
    • New Weather System with Clouds, Rain, Snow and Storms.
    • The default setting is daytime with clear skies, but you can switch to random in the Settings Menu.
