Version 1.4.01 Original Soundtrack

[p]Hi Everyone,[/p][p]Here is a new update after a long time. This update features an original soundtrack.[/p][p]First I was trying to make music for the new space game, Those Far Stars. I made some music with tracker softwares in the 90s and play some classical guitar as a hobby. So, music making is not entirely new to me but my software knowledge was outdated by a large margin. I studied DAW tutorials and discovered with a pleasant surprise that they are actually easier and more convenient to use than the 90’s softwares. [/p][p]I have been thinking of making a soundtrack for Terra Randoma as well for a long time. There was music in the game but the tracks were mostly textures not real songs. I wanted the game to have a real soundtrack with idendity but I thought a game like Terra Randoma with medieval fantasy vibes needs an orchestral soundtrack with organic instruments which may be beyond my abilities.[/p][p]Then I listened some dungeon synth music on Youtube which was created with tracker like synth sounds yet still giving medieval vibes. It gave me hope that I can make a soundtrack which can be suitable for the game.[/p][p]The soundtrack is not all dungeon synth but a blend of dungeon synth + new wave + low fi drums, if that makes sense! I used few instruments, mostly strings, obua, lute and vibraphones to give the organic medieval feel but arrangements are not very medieval.[/p][p]I tried to make the songs mostly calm and mysterious. I aimed for the music to be not too complex since the game is already crunchy, I didn't want players to dedicate too much mental focus on the arrangements. But I didn't want the music to be too simple and merely atmospheric either. I did my best to find a middle ground.[/p][p]Music plays everywhere uninterrupted in a random order. The OST has 19 songs and lasts for 87 minutes. I uploaded the songs to Youtube as well, in case anyone would like to check. Hope you like it.
