Update 29 Arrives! Call of the Wild

Hi everyone,
We are ready with a new update. The highlight of this update is addition of save slots. There is also some content. See below the details.

Version 0.96.05 Aditions
  • 10 save slots added.
  • Wolves added to the wilderness encounters. They have bleed ability as well as grudge and pack fury traits.
  • Beast hide added. A valuable loot for early game.
  • Wolf blood added. A valuable ingredient needed to craft Wolf's Call potion.
  • Wolf's Call talent stone added. A powerful talent stone to shapeshift into a wolf. It gives bonus melee attack, melee damage and bleed. May cause Scent of the Beast curse. It can be bought from the Adventurer's Guild every now and then.
  • Wolf's Call potion added.


Changes
  • Changed Lore Mastery skill perks. Perks now give additional damage to animals, undead, humans. Last perk gives attribute bonus.
  • Changed Bravery skill perks. They now give +2, +4, +6, +8 luck bonus.
  • Changed Alchemy skill's last perk as follows: You can poison the enemies even if they have poison immunity.
  • Changed Wilderness Survival skill's last perk as follows: Resting at camp gives well-rested effect for 2 days.
  • The altar at the last room of ancient tomb dungeon is now full of books.
  • Hyenas are now coward.
  • Grudge trait for the enemies scales better in high levels.
  • Bats don't attack the hero while hero is a bat.
  • Wolves don't attack the hero while hero is a wolf.
  • Increased the poisonous talent stones' poison duration.
  • Resting in towns now fully refills the health and stamina bars after giving well rested bonus.
Fixes
  • Game was not saving hero's bleeding condition.
  • Corrected tool tips of some alchemy and cooking recipes.
  • Some multi targeting talents stones were effective against the monsters although the monsters have immunity to that damage type. This was happenning if the monsters are positioned adjacent to the target monster.

Wolf is Wolf to Man

Hi everyone,
I didn’t write a development blog since the last update but I have been working on the game. The thing is, I was working on the save slots and they were not glamorous enough to write about.

With the new update there will be ten save slots. When starting a new game, we will choose a new slot or an existing game to write over. So players who like experimenting will be able to play up to ten different characters if they want to.



Another addition to the game is wolves. Wolves attack in the wilderness and they have quite a few traits. They have pack fury trait which makes them more dangerous when they are crowded. They are also very loyal to their pack so they carry grudge if one of them is killed. They are also bloodthirsty, meaning they attack more fiercely when hero bleeds.


Apart from regular wolves, there are three more wolf types which have different additional traits. Prestige class wolves if you will. Dire Wolf has drain life. Shadow Wolf has stealth. Gray Lycan has regeneration.



Wolves drop beast hide and beast blood. There is always a fallen NPC at the wolf battlemap for more loot. With this new update hyena hide and boar hide materials will be replaced with beast hide.

A new talent stone for shapeshifting into a wolf is in the works too. This talent stone will give the hero the power to turn to a wolf, making him faster and stronger with deadly bleeding attacks. But using it may trigger the infamous curse of the shapeshifters: Scent of the Beast.

As veteran druid players know, this curse makes the towns inaccessable and isolate our hero from the civilization.

Hi everyone
Here is a bug fix.
  • Game level cap is 50 again instead of 40. There has been a bug with the last update that lowered the level cap unintentionally.
  • Large experience points were not fitting properly in the text box.

  • The unique staff Iceshard's stats were not calculated properly making it useless.

Hi everyone,
Here is small improvement.
  • Slightly changed the colors of the Lost Library dungeon to have better overview map visual. The wall and the floor color was too similiar, it was hard to see the exits to the unexplored rooms.
