Stacking Fish, Cooking Improvements, and Sapling Mode

[p]Meowllo![/p][p]We have been busy with stability fixes, QoL fixes, and crash patching.[/p][p]But alongside those, we have also tried to tackle a few gameplay pain points:[/p][h2]🐟 Fish Stacking[/h2]
  • [p]You can now stack fish![/p]
  • [p]Larger fish you had in your save file are converted to 1★, the rest are unstarred[/p]
  • [p]Your chance of getting rarer 5★ fish goes up depending on your "Fishing" level[/p]
  • [p]As you catch more fish, your chances of getting higher star fish goes up![/p]
  • [p]Just like crops, higher star items sell for more[/p]
  • [p][/p]
[h2]🍳 Cooking Quality[/h2]
  • [p]Cooking now inherits the ingredient's star quality by averaging them[/p]
  • [p]It doesn't account for non-edible ingredients, such as Cloth or Stick[/p]
  • [p][/p]
  • [p]To account for this change:[/p]
    • [p]Your maximum stamina now increases based on your Tool skill levels[/p]
    • [p]Each level listed under "Tool" in your status page now gives you +2 max stamina[/p]
    • [p]Your "Character" level now affects the star quality of edible drops such as Honey Shroom, Apples, and so on[/p]
    • [p]As you progress through the game, this will allow you to make higher quality Grilled Fruit and the like so it restores more HP/Stamina[/p]

[h2]🔖 UI Polish[/h2]
  • [p]When focused on the Quest Log in your journal, you can now use the "Claim All" hotkey on both controllers and keyboard[/p]
  • [p]Quest Log now has more filters. It still defaults to all active quests, but you can now also sort by category, just like the quest board![/p]
  • [p][/p]
  • [p]You can now use RT on controllers (big trigger) to quickly move stacks from one side to the other[/p]
  • [p]While using a controller, you can use the shoulder buttons LB/RB to jump between the left side of the panel to the right side in UIs such as the storage container or furnace[/p]
  • [p]This works when you have something held from one inventory, making it easy to quickly move things around![/p]
  • [p][/p]
  • [p]You can now see fish spawns on your map under "Resources". You will have to at least catch one before it'll appear on the map[/p]
  • [p]If you are fishing level 5 and up, you can also see the % chance of catching them![/p]
  • [p][/p]
[p][/p][h2]🌱 Gameplay Options[/h2][p]New options have been added![/p][p][/p][h3]Longer Days[/h3]
  • [p]Increases day length from 22 real life minutes to 33 real life minutes[/p]
[h3]Quest Gating[/h3]
  • [p]Limits number of quests that will post on the board each in-game day to prevent feeling overwhelmed by tons of quests[/p]
  • [p]You can toggle this off at any time, in which your queue of quests will immediately post to the board[/p]
[h3]Sapling Mode[/h3]
  • [p]Can be picked from the settings card when you start a new game[/p]
  • [p]Can also be toggled on and off at any time under Tweaks in the Settings menu[/p]
  • [p]Includes both Longer Days and Quest Gating, as well as 25% increased drop rate and 50% damage reduction from enemies[/p]
[h2]🐛 Fixes[/h2]
  • [p]We've improved our crash log reports, so when you do crash, make sure to send it! Each report helps us track down issues easily and fix them ASAP! Thank you to everyone who makes a bug report through our form, it helps a lot as well~[/p]
  • [p]Fixed crashing when searching for items in menus[/p]
  • [p]Fixed crashing when sometimes opening/closing UI[/p]
  • [p]Fixed crashing for extended play sessions[/p]
  • [p]Fixed occasional crashing on Steam Deck[/p]
  • [p]Fixed crash/freeze that may happen when harvesting too many crops at once[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue where you would see or get notifications for NPC's birthdays that aren't on the island[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue where Donation Tracker was using inventory #[/p]
  • [p]Fixed inability for controller to "latch" onto the scrollbar in mine logs sometimes[/p]
  • [p]Fixed being able to hold down a movement button to continue walking while changing maps, resulting in double warps or walking into the void[/p]
  • [p]Fixed being able to accidentally activate a tool while a UI was opening, causing double UI[/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue of moving your joystick to close a quest card while in the quest tree on gamepad not allowing you to press subsequent buttons[/p]
  • [p]Fixed recurring quests not giving rewards[/p]
    • [p]If you have done the recurring quest before, such as "Fishing with this NPC!" then it will only show up on the quest board if you select the "Villager" category[/p]
    • [p]Recurring quests will show up again in the Villager category randomly 1-3 days after your last completion date[/p]
    • [p]Use this to level up your relationships with your favorite NPCs~[/p]
    • [p][/p]
[h2]📝 Non-Gameplay[/h2]
  • [p]I don't remember how many patch notes or announcements ago it was, but I mentioned how I wanted to make the data and information surrounding Snacko more comfortable to work with as well[/p]
  • [p]So, the Cultural Center wiki page has an updated Donations list![/p]
  • [p]I've also created a Google Sheets template tracker~[/p]
    • [p]Duplicate it and save it to your own drive[/p]
    • [p]Now you have an automated sheet tracking your progress![/p]
