MEET THE CHARACTERS #2 - MARKUS HENRID
Dear Gatewalkers!
Today we will tell you more about a character that you meet in Gatewalkers. Last time we wrote about Elana, and today another brave Gatewalker - Markus Henrid.
You are probably familiar with him already! You met him in the Guild a few times during the demo. But who is he, actually? His function in the Guild is very important - Markus is a Gate Guard. His duty is to make sure that no unauthorized person crosses the gate, and that no monster gets to the Guild.
Markus lost his parents at a young age. Guild saved him and his sister when they were kids, and trained them to become Gatewalkers. Markus was taller and stronger than others at his age, and that’s why he completed his training very fast. When he joined regular missions, everyone valued him not only because of his strength, but because he was a quick thinker and always made good decisions. A few years later his sister joined him, and although she had a sharp mind, she lacked a physical flair. Markus always took care of his little sister and having in mind her security, he became even more cautious while planning a strike.
Markus showed the highest physical strength and prudence in making decisions on the battlefield as Gatewalker. After many victories, he received the title of best Guild warrior and the honor of exercising care over the portal. He wasn’t delighted with the new role - he preferred to be a simple soldier. He never wanted fame or glory. He was also worried about his sister. Unfortunately, the sense of duty and loyalty to the Guild does not allow him to leave the post.
Markus has a positive attitude to life. He likes to joke around with other soldiers and have a good meal. He believes that every person has their own mission in life, and that’s why he doesn’t criticize others. That’s probably the reason why he doesn’t have any enemies in the Guild. His closest friends are his sister, Elana Kovnic, Louis Mccarthy, Bernard Treth, and Arvin Gabnis. He doesn't seem to like Taiho Everdine, Viktor Hemming, and Talah Kinith, but he shows them respect and never talks bad about them.
