A Day in Gatewalker's Life

Hello Gatewalker!

How is your day? I hope you are ready for your first lesson! My name is Elana Kovnic and I am responsible for introducing new warriors to the Guild. However, before you start learning all the fantastic things, take a deep breath. Today is a beautiful day, isn't it?

Most of us like to brag about our amazing adventures. Fighting terrible monsters, discovering new lands, exploring ancient ruins... But in fact, a lot of our days are a sweet routine. I am telling you this so that you will understand the importance of such ordinary, slow days.



How do we start each day? One would like to say - from breakfast! But first you have to get the food. Usually, hunters supply the kitchen with products, but this is never enough. Therefore, each of us prepares the food for themselves. You can always find the most ingredients in the Forest World - hyena meat, monkeybat ears, mushrooms and berries are the basis of our diet. In the Ice World, you can hunt Nilaks - their meat is very fatty and filling.



When you have the right amount of ingredients, you can prepare food in the Guild’s kitchen or over the fireplace. By the way, always have a supply of wood and stones with you. You never know how long the expedition beyond the Gate can take, and the fireplace gives you light, warmth and protection. Each student's first skill is learning to light a fire!



Eating not only keeps you going, but also gives you extra strength. Perhaps because the ingredients come from other planets, they have unique properties. They add strength, vigor, and sometimes allow you to better withstand the damage dealt in combat. Therefore, one of the domains of the older Gatewalkers is: "Always eat a full bowl before a fight!"



What can you do after breakfast? Gathering! Collect everything you need. Herbs for ointments, skins for clothes, wood for torches, water supplies and so on! Never do anything at the last minute - an effective Gatewalker is a prepared Gatewalker. It is also a good time to repair weapons or armor, create jewelry, or maybe start preparing a new weapon? Think carefully which way you want to develop and start collecting materials like coal, iron and precious stones in time.



There are crafting stations in the Guild where you can start converting your materials into semi-finished products and then into ready-made weapons, armors, and jewelry, of course, if you get a recipe first!



Survival skills are not only about clothes or food, but also other items that will allow you to survive. Some of them you can buy from a merchant in the Guild, but you can also create them yourself. For example, a decent sleeping bag or tent will allow you to sleep comfortably in any world. A thick cape will help you to survive the frosts, and a gas mask with filters will ensure safety in a Toxic World. If you are going to Sky Rocks, you will need a lightning rod to avoid electrocution!



A treasure detector will also be helpful - it will show you the way to the great loot! If you collect enough herbs and other ingredients, you should prepare a restoration kit, ointments, antidote for toxic fumes, potions and other useful things. Ah, and one of the most important items - a drone that will allow you to search any world in the worlds panel and travel through the Gate!

When you will be on the other side of the Gate keep in mind the ancient technology fragments. You will find them in random places - they are not big, but they have bright pink color because they still contain some Essence, so they should catch your eye! Take them to Victor - he really needs them, and I’m sure he will reward you.



Preparation is the best survival tactic of any Gatewalker. Therefore, remember to never forget your needs. In the heat of fights and adventures, it is easy to forget even about basics such as food or water. Hunger or thirst may turn out to be your most dangerous enemy... Therefore, always plan each trip well.



Lots of things to remember, right? Don't worry, it will become your second nature in a heartbeat.

Last Chance to play the Demo!

Gatewalkers - History

Dear Gatewalkers,

Have you ever wondered how it all happened? Well, let me tell you a story…

It started with fields. Not even a single blade of rye has sprouted. Soon after, the grasses, flowers, and bushes began to die. Later, dead insects and small animals were found. The process took years until, finally, nothing was left. Nobody understood the cause of these changes. Prophets heralded the end of the world. And they were not mistaken...

Our world is dying. The land produces no crops, and almost all animals are dead. The world people knew has disappeared. There is nothing left but barren land and the horror that the wind carries through the villages.



People looked for answers but couldn't find any rational explanation. And when science is not giving answers, you can only turn to your intuition or folklore legends. And that's why some started to look to the Last Bastion. An old fortress considered by many to be a place of mysterious power. There was a strange atmosphere around it, so more and more people wanted to explore it. Why was energy radiating from the cold walls? "Could it be hiding something?" they wondered.



And so, a relic of the Ancients was found underground. A colossal Gate that no one knew how to use. Numerous tests have been carried out, and many scientists, theologians, builders, and historians have wondered what this machine was if it was anything at all. And then, due to a fascinating coincidence, the Gate activated.



A glow of glaring light spread out in the circle, showing the land like it was a mirror. Completely different world, with creatures no one has ever seen. When the first scientist put his hand inside, it melted like it was passing through the water's surface. It was not difficult to find adventurers who willingly passed through the Gate. Unfortunately, most of them never came back.



The new discovery brought great hope but also a dangerous mystery. The evidence that Ancients existed implied that there were other amazing inventions somewhere in the universe. Other lands also seemed to be a great source of food, herbs, wood, meat, clean water, and other essentials for survival. On the other hand, expeditions to other worlds cost too many lives - the daredevils who wanted to bring food for the city and the greedy people who wanted to steal the invention. Some even tried to destroy it, considering it impure power. Something had to be done, and it had to be done quickly.

The most eminent warriors, knights, and scientists were summoned. After long and bloody negotiations, an alliance was formed between the people and the new faction - Gatewalkers. The warriors pledged to provide food and essential products to the townspeople in return for the exclusive use of the Gate. They began writing down everything they saw, fighting monsters, and looking for new worlds. Scientists collected all the data, analyzed and studied substances and samples, looking for a way to save the world.



Soon the processing capacity of a few warriors was insufficient to serve thousands of hungry people. It was decided that it was time to educate new warriors - fully adapted to travel and fight between worlds. A Guild Master was chosen, and he founded the first school. They started to train young people to become Gatewalkers.



Years passed. A relatively calm atmosphere in the city was achieved thanks to the supplies from behind the Gate. However, there was no indication that the world could be saved. Morale dropped. Everyone wanted to find at least a clue to help figure something out. It seemed that nothing could be done anymore...

But sometimes, one fresh mind is enough to change the course of history. Someone who can see a ray of light even in the deepest abyss.

That someone is you.

Group Combos

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

Adventures in Gatewalkers can be enjoyed alone or with friends. The game will be playable alone, but ... There is more strength in the group!

In previous articles, we discussed solo combos that can be cast with an epic or legendary weapon. However, there is one more way to improve your weapons: make the elemental version.

The elements not only enrich your weapons with extra strength but also allow you to perform group combos.

But… How can you do it, exactly?

You can unlock recipes for the epic/legendary/elemental version of the weapon from Tier 3 in the Progress Tree. After buying the recipe, you have to make a new weapon!


To create a weapon with an element you have to do it in the laboratory. Make sure you have all ingredients and then craft your weapon in one of the crafting stations.


After clicking the button with your element icon in the main panel, you can read all information about your element:


A group combo requires another player with an elemental weapon. One player must fully stack the element's effect on a mob (there will be the icon above the mob showing how many times the mob was hit). When the mob is fully stacked, another player will see an icon showing that the group combo is ready. Then, he/she has to use their ultimate skill which will automatically strike group combo. It seems to be complicated, but actually it’s very simple. Just look at the screen:

One more thing - in most cases, there is a difference which element casts solo combo. The VFX is the same, for example for Cold + Void group combo, however there is a difference in the effect. Just look at the descriptions below:

Cold + Shock:

Shock consumes fully stacked Cold: Deals 3379 damage and applies stun for 2,5 sec.
Cold consumes fully stacked Shock: Deals 3379 damage and applies stun for 2,5 sec.

Void + Toxic:

Toxic consumes fully stacked Void: Deals 1877 damage, applies: damage over time effect which deals 50% damage per second, decreases target healing by 50%, and decreases resistance by 10% for 4 sec.
Void consumes fully stacked Toxic: 1877 damage, applies: damage over time effect which deals 263 damage per second for 12 sec., decreases target healing by 50%, and decreases resistance by 10% for 4 sec.

Heat + Toxic:

Heat consumes fully stacked Toxic: Deals 1877 damage, applies: damage over time effect which deals 113 damage per sec for 4 sec.
Toxic consumes fully stacked Heat: Deals 1877 damage, applies: damage over time effect which deals 601 damage per sec for 4 sec.




Shock + Heat:

Shock consumes fully stacked Heat: Deals 1877 damage, applies: interrupt, 20% daze effect, and damage over time effect which deals 469 damage per second for 4 sec. Daze decreases the movement and damage of the affected target by daze value.
Heat consumes fully stacked Shock: Deals 1877 damage, applies: interrupt, 20% daze effect, and damage over time effect which deals 469 damage per second for 4 sec. Daze decreases the movement and damage of the affected target by daze value.


Cold + Void:

Cold consuming fully stacked Void: Deals 2253 damage, applies: 60% stack slow movement and decreases resistances of target by 2253 for 4 sec.
Void consuming fully stacked Cold: Deals 2253 damage, applies: 60% slow movement, and decreases the resistances of target by 20% for 4 sec.

Solo Combo 2

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

Welcome to the second part of the solo combo article. If you haven't read the previous article - we encourage you to read it!

Briefly, the ability to unlock solo combo starts at Tier 3, when you can unlock a recipe for an epic or legendary version of the weapon. Then you are granted the possibility to forge a new, improved weapon. To use a solo combo, you have to make sure the ability is ready. The solo combo icon on the main bar will show you when the solo combo is ready to cast. One thing that is good to know - you don’t have to memorize the combination. After clicking the solo combo button, the combination will be shown on the screen all the time:



Then you have to fight using the correct sequence of skills, and the solo combo will appear automatically:



Epic/Legendary weapons are game-changers for Gatewalkers. Solo combos have completely different, much more powerful abilities than the usual player abilities. They deal a lot of damage to enemies within a wide range, and many more! Some solo combos focus on damage, some on restoring shield, every weapon deals different bonuses, etc. It is worth knowing the capabilities of each weapon in advance and choosing the one that suits your tactics. Both epic and legendary versions of a given weapon share the same solo combo, but the legendary version is stronger.

Below are examples of solo combos with descriptions.


Warhammer (Stunning Aura - Four bursts of energy striking 2 sec. Apart. Each burst deals 777 damage to all enemies in a 7m radius and stuns all enemies for 0,5 sec.)




Dual Dagger (Ultimate Toxin - Throw with a dagger that poisons enemies dealing 1026 damage per second for 4 sec.)




Qubic (Orbital Strike - Every 2 sec. For 4 sec. shoots a laser within a 10 m. radius from the player. Each meteor creates AOE that deals 800 damage in a 2 m. radius)




Light Energy Catalyst (Pillar of Light - All allies in a 7m. radius get 25% shield restoration per second, the effect lasts 5 sec.)




Great Sword (Etheral Guardians - Every ally within 10 m. range summons 2 energy orbs that will continue to orbit around them for 6 sec. Orbs grant 50% to movement speed. Contact with the enemy dissipates the orb’s energy dealing 1166 damage to the target and restoring the owner’s shield by 442)




Great Hammer (Sky Rage - Meteor rain every second for 4 sec. 3 meteors fall within the radius of 10 m. from the player. Each meteor creates AOE which deals 700 damage in a 2 m. radius)



Dark Catalyst (Pillar of Darkness - All allies on 7m m. radius get +20% damage dealt bonus for 5 sec)



Battle Axe (Predecessor Axe - Summons the predecessor axe which spins in a 2 m. range around the player. It deals 1366 damage per second and lasts for 10 seconds)




Note: The figures provided are examples only. The range and/or damage value can increase with the higher tier of the weapon.
