Version 0.1.958 Patch [Major] - Bug Fixes, Crafting and AI Updates
[h3]Adjusting the Numbers[/h3]
We made several adjustments to a wide variety of systems to kick off the new year. After gathering your feedback and crunching the numbers we changed the amount of time it takes to research items and craft them without the use of a crafting bench. Converted items (127->energy, ore->iron…) take a bit longer to process as well. All loose items will now be cleaned up after 30 secs to help keep Lahaina clean, and we changed clip sizes across the board. You can still blast away at anything that moves, especially stuff that’s moving towards you, but the new clip size is a more realistic reflection of what each gun can hold.

[h3]Keep It Moving[/h3]
Timers and ammo counts aren’t the only things that got some attention this week. We made some improvements to AI movements to make them run players down more efficiently, and we fixed a bug that would cause the mutants to float or get stuck if a construction piece was destroyed beneath them.

[h3]Keep Knocking[/h3]
You might remember that we fixed a bug that caused arrows to bounce off the walls then get stuck which was not helpful in a pinch. Our way of staying “on brand” with those fixes meant we also took a closer look at overall weapon damage and updated a few things.
Homemade bows and some of the traditional Hawaiian weapons in particular were a little overpowered. We dialed back the damage so players can no longer blast through the walls of a wooden base after a few hits. Wood isn’t the most resilient building material but it should be able to withstand more than a few well-placed arrows or swings of an axe.

[h3]The Fix Is In[/h3]
We made a sizable dent in our bug list recently. Some of the biggest issues that our testers help us find and fix this week include: A problem with items doubling or tripling in weight after being put into a chest, some players finding themselves spawned under the map, and torches that would somehow burn underwater. We fixed the infamous disappearing door/door lock bug and we fixed a problem with players physically colliding with pings. Marking an item to make it easier to see for your party members will no longer act as a barrier to your teammates.

- Hop - Rain clipping through Thorcon
- Kurz - Fill the Thorcon up so it's not a big empty space
- xstephx - Make the arrow release more immediate and faster
- Spitfire - Med kit made out of bandages

- Hop - Add timer on cooking meat, so you have an idea of when your food will be cooked. And smelting ore
- Ryan - Everything inside base despawned, smelter, boxes, firepit
- Pistoling - You can place a sleeping bag almost half way into a research bench, can cause the player to spawn stuck in place or spawn on top of the research bench floating/falling
- Jman - Slots for arm and leg splints so you can see durability on them when equipped
- CrimsonCrusher3 - Only allow the 'recycle piece' option to pop up if you have the construction tool out
- Pistoling - Floating cube static mesh under bridge
- undelek - When I login after some hours, all my bench disappear from their places and all stuff appears on my inv, the beds disappear too
- Hop - Make plants harvestable for fiber// also add fiber as a crafting resource
- Ryan - Trophy collectors projectile launch and animation don't line up
- Pistoling - Mini-map does not rotate when toggled on
- Spitfire - Make the reach for the pick about 10% longer
- carbu - Auto harvesting bug
- [uRxP]DrChocolate - Structures pieces seemed to be blocked from placement by other pieces
- AzureAssaulter - I cannot burn a corpse after looting it
- undelekv- Door lock bugs
- Ryan - AI can open locked doors
- Elliot - Construction bug preventing building walls
- Pistoling - Quantity slider to split/drop stacked items does not function correctly
- Spitfire - Drinking from water catch is taking me 30 sec
- Pistoling - Adding energy to the totem consumes the energy out of your inventory but does not update the amount in the totem

- Pistoling - After restart the sulfur I moved from my chest, into my inventory and then moved into the smelter was found in both the smelter and storage chest. Same amount
- Hop - The "Pressing F to cancel crafting an item" prompt is not working

- Pistoling - Floating base pieces left over from a base built yesterday
- writeplace - Items looted from boxes loot crates ect do not persist after relogging
- Grant - Smelted/converted items disappear after restart

- Briston 574 - Issue with putting items into chests that causes items to double and triple in weight
