RISK UPDATE v3.21 RELEASE NOTES

[h2]Major Improvements[/h2]
  1. [p]Sandbox Mode is here: A new set of tools gives players the ability to modify, playtest, publish and share their own spin on existing maps. [/p]
  2. [p]MAPS+ Subscription: MAPS+ Subscription: Unlock 110+ RISK maps for a monthly subscription and play existing and upcoming maps as soon as they become available*. (* Mobile only, excludes a small number of restricted or IP-partnered maps. Full list available in-app.)[/p]
  3. [p]Alliance Improvements: Alliance requests can now time out and be cancelled.[/p]
  4. [p]Bot Out Improvements & Fixes: Bot out work should be complete now. See the list of fixes below.[/p]
  5. [p]Creator Codes: A brand new system for SMG to regularly provide RISK content creators with weekly/monthly unique codes. Players can redeem codes via the RISK site to unlock maps, frames, dice and more.[/p]
[p][/p][h2]General Improvements[/h2]
  1. [p]Players who bot out are now treated as surrendering: for the purposes of BP & RP generation. Players should no longer need to deal with bots before exiting the game to maximise rewards. Note: this has been disabled temporarily and will be re-enabled in the incoming hotfix.[/p]
  2. [p]From December 14: BP rewards will taper gradually after reaching your daily cap: Instead of earning 0 BP after reaching your daily limit, rewards will be softened until your cap resets as follows:[/p]
    1. [p]50% BP for your first game[/p]
    2. [p]25% BP for your second game[/p]
    3. [p]10% BP for all future games[/p]
  3. [p]SFX & haptic feedback in the lobby: cues added when players join or leave lobbies and when lobbies are full.[/p]
  4. [p]SFX & haptic feedback on turn start: cues added to the start of your turn and on inactivity warning. [/p]
  5. [p]Shop thumbnails: dice and troops should now show up consistently to make it easier to compare different cosmetics.[/p]
  6. [p]Poor ping warning: should now only show up when your ping is impacting your play experience.[/p]
  7. [p]Separate slider for emote SFX: added to settings.[/p]
  8. [p]Troops rotate in troop tray in-game: just like dice do.[/p]
  9. [p]Players can no longer report themselves: Players won’t end up on their own block lists.[/p]
  10. [p]Cleaned up anti-stalling messaging: to make it clearer when players can quit a game without being penalised.[/p]
  11. [p]New Territory Card modifiers: have been added to match Sandbox setup options.[/p]
  12. [p]Improved 3D asset compression: app size slightly reduced.[/p]

[/p][h2]Bot Out Improvements & Fixes[/h2][p]Bot out should now work correctly as designed. Bot now follows the flow described in our previous post on the subject.[/p][p][/p]
  1. [p]Players replaced by neutral AI will now stop drafting after their 2nd full turn.[/p]
  2. [p]Bot out icons should show to all players, not just the host.[/p]
  3. [p]Bot out timers should not start before the first player’s turn.[/p]
  4. [p]Players who go MIA during semi-auto & manual placement will have their icon updated to MIA.[/p]
  5. [p]Battle log will no longer continue to update for botted out players.[/p]
  6. [p]Players that are botted out by failing to ready up will have their icon updated.[/p]
  7. [p]Bots should no longer fortify for 0 just after a bot out.[/p]
  8. [p]Fixed a bug where UI could fall out of sync with player turns.[/p]

  1. [p]Balanced blitz: estimation should work better around the 20k mark. Our first bug hunted and found on the Risk Beta Group, thank you TheStaticMage, TheStaticBrock for the find![/p]
  2. [p]Reward ads on Android: should show more reliably now.[/p]
  3. [p]UI overlap issues: fixed on the leaderboard.[/p]
  4. [p]Manual placement in scenarios: Restarting a scenario no longer enables manual placement when it shouldn’t.[/p]
  5. [p]Achievemegeddon on leaderboard: visiting the leaderboard should no longer trigger a cascade of unearned achievements on some devices.[/p]
  6. [p]Fixed a flickering vignette: that appeared at turn end.[/p]
  7. [p]Select Map screen: filters from the All Maps tab no longer carry over to Map Packs.[/p]
  8. [p]Selecting a territory before being prompted in Basic Training: could cause a soft lock with the right timing, this has been fixed.[/p]
  9. [p]Missing attack arrows after Basic Training: should always show up correctly on your next game.[/p]
  10. [p]Host surrendering in zombie games: no longer ends the match prematurely[/p]
  11. [p]Localisation fixes for German: Some strings should fit better in the shop.[/p]
