The v0.1.2.4 PUBLIC TEST and how to join the public test!

Hello everyone!

We’ll be testing a big update on our Steam Beta Branch*.

Some of you probably have not done this before, so we have a small guide:

Prerequisite:
You must have Medieval Dynasty in your library – obviously.

The procedure
  • Open your game library.
  • Right Click on Medieval Dynasty there.



  • Open properties.



  • Select the tab "BETAS".



  • Enter this password below the dropdown in the field:

  • Press CHECK CODE
  • Use the drop down and select “public_beta - Public Beta Branch”.




  • Press Close



Steam should now download this version of the game.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE SAVE YOUR LIVE VERSION SAVES GAME BEFORE ACCESSING THE BETA BRANCH!

  • Changed Night howl quest so that it always gives some gold for completing it.
  • Pig and piglet sitting animations so that they no longer stick out of the pigsty.

  • Vendors now have a random number of items.
  • Resource and Food Storage capacities have been increased.
  • Hunting lodge produces random mushrooms depending on the season.

  • Crossbow damage increased from 55 to 70.
  • Bow damage increased from 25 to 35.
  • Recurve Bow damage reduced from 50 to 45.

  • Wooden Spear damage reduced from 25 to 15.
  • Stone Spear damage reduced from 50 to 25.
  • Iron Spear damage reduced from 75 to 40.
  • Wooden Spear durability has been increased from 3 to 4 uses.
  • Stone Spear durability has been increased from 6 to 8 uses.
  • Iron Spear durability has been increased from 12 to 16 uses.
  • Wisent and Bear hp has been increased x2 times.
  • Villagers eat food according to nutritional value. The greater nutritional value, the higher priority. In case the nutritional value is the same, food of lower condition is chosen.
  • Wood value is now visible in item details.
  • Lowered Dynasty Reputation limits for next inhabitants

- Restoring the condition of items in a chest when loading saved game.
- Doubled scheme for creating Roasted Meat in a Tavern II.
- Son doesn't come home after the "BOY" quest.
- Hunting Lodge II requires a Building technology instead of Survival to be unlocked.
- Restoring the default keybinds doesn't work after restarting the game.
- The number of items sometimes displays fractional values in the transfer / drop / craft window.
- Items without the Freshness parameter don't display a price during the transaction.

Hotfix to v0.1.1.5

  • Food no longer spoils in vendors inventory - Current spoiled food will be exchanged to fresh in the next season
  • Changed Manure to Fertilizer in vendors inventory, which can be purchased - Manure will be exchanged to fertilizer in the next season
  • The food store receives a stronger weighting. The food gets new storage life:

This is the game loop for foodstuff, an example:
You receive fresh meat at the end of the season
You put it into a chest
Condition is reduced by - for example - 50% next season.
You roast the meat, and it will become 100%.
When you process food, its condition is restored to 100%


Update to v0.1.1.4.

Hello everyone!

We have a small update just before weekend!

Fixes

  • Food in chests becomes spoiled now.*
  • Extracting stones with a pickaxe now accounts gains to correct technology and skills.
  • The possibility to get stuck at workbenches when closing the crafting menu using escape has been eliminated.
  • Hitting rocks with a pickaxe did not always trigger sounds and effects. This is fixed.
  • Talents for faster extraction, stamina consumption and durability were not working properly. They should now.
  • Fixed an issue where players could change an item with the mouse wheel or the quickslot menu and then holstering the tool, the character equipped a tool from different slot.


Additions

  • Added new barn levels – Levels 2 and 3.
  • Added version display in save slot and labels for save slots.


Updates

  • Digging up the stump now produces a log.
  • Items placed in non-player chests now disappear after a season.
  • Spoiled food is turned to new item ("rot"), it rots after a season.
  • Fields are fertilized with a new item - Fertilizer, instead of Manure.
  • Fertilizer is made in a barn from Manure or Rot.
  • Rock, Iron, Salt, Clay now drop only after draining the deposit durability to 0%.
  • Talks to the NPCs (related to the quest) at night.
  • Reduced the number of employees for the barn, depending on stage. The dismissed employees are waiting for new assignments.
  • Increased animal attack frequency.
  • Autosave slots number changed to 3.

Hotfix to v0.1.1.3

Trees inside buildings and fields FIXED - Unfortunately, it will only work when loading the game from a save before patch 0.1.1.2. In the case of saves from version 0.1.1.2, you have to delete the trees yourself

Update to v0.1.1.2.

More stuff fixed, added and updated. Let us make this quick:

Fixes

  • Cave mining now increases the Extraction skill instead of the Crafting skill.
  • Removing tree stumps now works with a shovel. Stumps should now be gone permanently.
  • It is impossible to destroy the fence without building at least one module. It is now fixed.
  • NPCs used to stop working in the field when the player did not watch them. They now have a better work morale.
  • If a torch burned out, it decreased the health of (an)other torch(es). This is fixed as well.
  • Fixed the production list in building management showing less items per hour than it produced.
  • Quests where you could deliver items in parts and had to deliver more than one type of item should work properly now.
  • Fixed projectiles like spears, bolts and arrows getting stuck in the air after hitting an animal.


Additions

  • Added build and destroy sounds.
  • Added the possibility to turn off head bob – Further optimizations to reduce motion sickness are work in progress.


Updates

  • The size of plants data in the save file has been reduced.
  • Updated the “Digging with shovel” animation.
  • Removed crossbow as an item to deliver from Missing Bow quest. Only for new quests, existing ones still require it.
  • More quests are generated per season.
