Update to v0.5.1.1 – LIVE VERSION

Hello everyone! We have a small update bringing these items:

  • A new system for dynamic environmental sound. Wind and bird sound dependent on the number of trees near the player. (Work in progress)
  • Miners dig in the cave walls.
  • New sounds for wind in forests.
  • New sounds for birds. (Work in progress)
  • New sounds of fishing for NPCs - idle (water movement), catch and miss.
  • Autosave on completing quest.
  • New sounds for rain (non-forested areas only).
  • Strange collisions of bolts.
  • Reduced instances of animals appearing on trees, rocks and other objects.
  • Wild animals sometimes appear in the player's village.
  • Some building modules break too quickly.
  • Alwin's story VIII and IX quests are bugging on load.
  • Character is leaning twice when stopping crafting during default crafting animation.
  • One of the road signs indicates the wrong village.
  • Bug erasing quests on load.
  • Bug with NPCs appearing and moving around the Tavern's grates and stoves.

  • Bucket crafting and production is now in Workshop I.
  • Increased wildlife numbers.
  • Increased the employee limit at the Mine from 2 to 6 people.
  • Lowered the employee limit in Barn II from 8 to 6 people and in Barn III from 12 to 8 people.
  • Bag radial menu now shows the season when the player can sow/plant and harvest/collect.
  • Sounds for Horse, Donkey, Deer - deleted whinny sounds from run / sprint - added more in idle.
  • More natural animal eating sounds.
  • More natural animal breathing sounds.
  • Terrain rearrangement near Hornica - mountains loom over the village.
  • Inverted kinematics for some animals.
  • Inverted kinematics for player and NPCs.
  • Decreased movement speed for Buck, Doe and Wolf.
  • Dodging attacks and escaping without sprinting from animals that are not wounded should be more difficult now.
  • Slightly increased movement speed for Boar and Bear.
  • Lowered chance for bear to play the standing attack animation.

Update to v0.5.1.1. - TEST BRANCH - UPDATED!

[h3]How to join the test branch?[/h3]
Some of you probably have not done this before, so we have a small guide:

Prerequisite:
You must have Medieval Dynasty in your library – obviously.

The procedure
  • Open your game library.
  • Right Click on Medieval Dynasty there.



  • Open properties.



  • Select the tab "BETAS".



  • Enter this password below the dropdown in the field:

  • Press CHECK CODE
  • Use the drop down and select “public_beta - Public Beta Branch”*.
  • Press Close


Steam should now download this version of the game.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE SAVE YOUR LIVE VERSION SAVES GAME BEFORE ACCESSING THE BETA BRANCH!

Just in case something goes awry!

Saves can be found here:

AppData > Local > Medieval_Dynasty > Saved > SaveGames

*Steam labels those builds as "beta"(see bullet points), so do not be too confused!

Update to v0.5.0.6. - LIVE VERSION

  • New sounds of coughing for Male and Female NPCs.
  • New sounds of coughing for Boy and Girl NPCs.
  • New sounds of coughing for Toddler.
  • New sounds of cutting and chopping tree for NPCs.
  • Wife, child, Herald and Castellan now display icons in inspector and interaction.
  • New sounds for Pickaxe animations for NPCs.


  • Some quests cannot be completed because NPC does not want to talk with us about the quest.
  • Some quests cannot be completed because dialogue is from another quest and nothing happens when the player finishes it.
  • With a new talent points gaining system, the player needs to spend all excessive points to complete the quest for talents because they go into minus.
  • Miners from Excavation Shed are not looking for resources.
  • After loading an old game save, wild animals spawn in the middle of the player's village.
  • Sometimes story quests cannot be completed because NPC do not want to talk about the quest. (e.g., Alwin VIII)
  • Some of the animal spawn points on the map are not working.
  • Quest givers sometimes use wrong dialogue when the player gets quest from them.
  • Sometimes quests have wrong objectives and cannot be done (most frequently it happens for "Iron Shortage").
  • Levitating clay deposits.
  • The NPC rotates to the player and walks backwards, after it is removed from work via dialogue.
  • Reduction of cases where a felled tree refuses to fall.
  • NPCs are changing their faces each time after loading the game.
  • Fire in grate will not stop now during long crafting in Cauldrons.


  • Numerous changes in the Vendors' items.
  • Russian language.
  • Ukrainian language.
  • The speed of feeling the temperature change for the player's character has been increased.
  • The penalty for overheating and undercooling has been reduced.
  • Animal breeder vendors now use icon appropriate to the animal building they work in.
