A big thank you!

Tribe Leaders,

It’s been a week since Medieval Dynasty came out, and to say that it’s been thrilling is an understatement. It’s been absolutely insane. Our release has gone way above our expectations. To get over 1.5 thousand reviews with 90% of them positive in the first 3 days was incredible, humbling and just… really nice to see. It kept us going through the weekend, giving us power to push when we were working on hotfixes ːsteamhappyː

So from the bottom of our collective heart, we just want to say “thank you”. Thank you for your positive comments, for your messages of support, your suggestions, ideas, and feedback. Thank you for taking a chance on our game, and most importantly, thank you for being part of this project. Remember, this is just the beginning. We will be keeping you informed on developments as well, so you know what we are doing and planning to do.

Hotfix to v0.1.0.9

A small hotfix to get started.

  • The HUD does not hide when the game is paused (e.g. in Tab Menu). This has been fixed.
  • A bug that kept resetting the key binds to default on each game launch has been eliminated.
  • The bug that plagued the "Uniegost part II" quest has been fixed. If player completed any of Karolina's/Teobald's/Irmina's taxes, items needed to complete Uniegost story part II will be added to inventory so this quest can be completed now. Thank you for patience and save files.
  • The NPC torch is destroyed (sound bug). This has been fixed.

Guess what?! Let's make it short:

Fixes

  • The "Hold "E" bug has been fixed.
  • The possibility to skin multiple animals at once is now fixed.
  • Characters should no longer get stuck while skinning.
  • The possibility to change tools when interacting with animals is fixed.
  • The player should no longer get stuck at the spinning wheel.
  • A problem when loading items from an old save file is now fixed.
  • Changing the key binding should now change the tooltips in the UI / HUD.
  • The gamepad did not have right and left rotation buttons for placing buildings. This is now fixed.
  • Seasonal restrictions for side quests have been fixed.
  • The Heir no longer treats the player character as a stranger.
  • Fixed the tooltip for unlit campfires when the player had no torch in their inventory.



Additions
  • Separate building rotation buttons in the key bindings.
  • Input for hiding the HUD in the key binds.


Updates
  • Important: resetting the key binds to default settings on first launch with this update!
  • Bows use less stamina when aiming.



The Medieval Dynasty Roadmap

Hello everyone!

For better visibility we're re-posting the Medieval Dynasty roadmap. During this Early Access we have planned a few things for you!



Fourth quarter of 2020 we plan to add:

  • Events, challenges and Fishing
  • Riding and Farming


First quarter of 2021 we plan to add:

  • Pottery, beekeping and alcohol production
  • Bandits


Also, we will improve the game by fixing bugs, adjusting game balance and optimizations throughout the Early Access. And of course new languages will be added as well. Don't forget to post your suggestions and ideas on the forum, too.

Update to v0.1.0.7. - September 22nd, 2020

Hi everyone!

We skipped the manic Monday, you know…lemons, and jumped right to Tuesday. So here we have some new stuff and fixes. We hope you still love "Medieval Dynasty" and enjoy playing it.

Fixes
  • Time for grain threshing in Barn is now running correct.
  • The issue with the dialogue to recruit people staying even after recruiting them is now fixed.
  • The Night Hunt quest now has the correct technology restriction.
  • Fixed the item duplication in chests in NPC villages after loading the game.
  • Fixed the issue with the player's weird relationship with a child who was also the wife's sister or brother at same time. Dialogs with your own child are in work in progress.
  • Fixed the inability to fertilize the field after harvesting.
  • Fields in Rolnica were not properly created, this now fixed.
  • Fixed the Extraction Knowledge skill resetting the dialogue option, which then bugged the dialogue window.
  • Flirting with own mother is now fixed.
  • Placed the player's family in their home – the home references are properly set, teleport family to player's village.
  • Working in your own field only will give you technology and skill points.
  • When flirting, women will not accept marriage proposals until player owns a house.


Additions
  • Added the possibility to change keybinds for the keyboard. Some Keys like Spacebar, L_Ctrl, Num 5 etc. are using longer texts and exceed various UIs fields, this is work in progress and will be patched. If you find any unpatched fields later, let us know.
  • Added the option to adjust Field of View
  • The contents of chests from NPC buildings are now saved to a file.
  • Improvements to item saving. Saving only changed some items, not all. It will restore all stolen items on the map once.
  • Improvements to post process. The sky is a bit darker, contrast and saturation corrections applied as well.


Balancing
  • Tweaked the weapon/tool damage, also the condition numbers.
  • You can find more collectable rocks near rivers, streams, and some rocky areas now.
  • Made some changes to the contents of chests in the NPC villages.


Retracted
  • Removed the quick fix for changing keys from QWERTY to AZERTY in v0.1.0.2 - If you had set the key binds to AZERTY, those settings will be present in the new key binding system.
