How To Make Your Own Hogonet Pages

You can now create your own "Hogonet" websites that can be accessed in-game by other players.

Hogonet is our fictional 1985 version of the internet. The "Hogonet Reader" is the game's web browser. It is unlocked by advancing the main story, and it can only access very simple pages with limited text, links, and blocky graphics.

There is a how-to document here:

*** Please note that this is an experimental feature! *** Creating your own Hogonet pages requires some light coding, the ability to host web pages on another domain, and manually distributing the final address (e.g. on the discussion board). It's all currently a bit clunky. In the future, we could potentially make design & distribution happen entirely in-game based upon feedback & interest.

Steam Achievements

We have added Steam achievements! There are currently 61. Some of them are there to direct players to various Easter eggs or fun side activities.

Others are given at milestones of the main story. They are generally in chronological order. The descriptions are occasionally a bit vague to avoid giving substantial story spoilers, but each one does use the icon of a Hogo OS program related to getting the achievement. This means the achievement list could occasionally provide hints to advance the main story if you get stuck.

If you want to avoid any hints or potentially minor spoilers, use discretion when viewing.
