Update 2.0.266. Improved server and client optimization



Deep profiling of the server was done and many bottlenecks were fixed based on the received data. Client performance has also been improved (most noticeable on High and Normal graphics settings).

We will continue to monitor the situation and improve the stability of the game, this is a top priority for us!

Server and client optimization
- Significantly optimized several bottlenecks identified during real server profiling.
- Optimized some textures.
- Very low quality settings now use even less memory.
- High and Normal settings no longer use shadow cascades.
- Reduced GPU instancing for some buildings and spawn objects.
- Disabled processing of shadows on small and low spawn objects and buildings, as well as projectiles.

Improvements and fixes
- The number of dungeons that can be created at the same time is doubled.
- Fixed a critical error due to which, if you exit the game before the grave appears, or without pressing the Resurrect button, the character was not sent to the save point, he appeared near the place of death.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was sometimes possible to gather one resource at the same time by several players.
- Fixed a bug due to which it was impossible to open a grave with a loot of a killed character until he pressed the Rebirth button.
- Fixed the effect of wind on the grass, the settings of which got lost in the last update.

Hotfix 2.0.265. Lost items restored, optimization improved

Fixed a bug that in some cases led to the disappearance of items when working with warehouses. All lost items have been restored. Small client optimization improvements that will raise a bit FPS.

We apologize for the overflowing inventory, but this was the only way to restore items so quickly.

Update 2.0.264. Improving server optimization



We are continuing to work on correcting lag under increased load to give you the better experience as soon as possible. In this patch, additional work was done to optimize the server and introduced tools for more in-depth diagnostics.

We will monitor the situation and in the next 2 days we plan to release another update that improves optimization.

Optimization
- Optimized packing of dominium with buildings.
- Optimized unpacking and placement of dominium after relocation, as well as building and upgrading a ship.
- Optimized sorting in containers and inventory.
- Optimized placement of items by Shift + clicking in containers and back.
- An additional diagnostic system has been implemented that allows us to take detailed data about the load on the server.

Other fixes
- Fixed a bug in the Brazilian translation causing an error in the console after finishing crafting.
- Fixed a bug due to which the captions for fishing actions could not fit into the string in some localizations.
- Starting with the next server update, the client will display the need to update its version on Steam if the server version is different.

Update 2.0.263. Server optimization and spawn improvement



In this update, we've made additional server-side optimizations that should significantly reduce lags. Fixed some spawns of animals and resources.

- Added trees in the Abandoned Village on Starting Island. Increased trees number and spawn rate in other zones of Starting Island.
- The spawn rate of copper deposits in an abandoned mine has been significantly increased.
- Slightly reduced the density of animal spawn on the starting island.

[h3]Server optimization[/h3]
- The logic of mobs has been greatly optimized
- Now mobs will move much less often, which should make it easier to attack them, especially with increased ping.
- Optimized fragments of calls to server resources.
- Optimized the logic of objects falling asleep on the server and their network detection.

Please note that the game is still under development. At the moment, added only basic mechanics, and a small area is available. The game is now only a tiny part of all the content that we would like to add. But now, you can not only try out the game but also participate in its development: suggest something new, discuss the existing one, report problems and errors.
