Patch 1.3.4.0 Is Now Live

The brand new patch for The Falconeer is now available to download on Steam - featuring a host of UI updates, better GPU detection, water shader performance and much more!



[h2]Gameplay Changes[/h2]
  • You won't be punished for friendly fire in the prologue
  • Red and green ammo can overcharge in storms
  • Prologue charging tutorial will work with coloured ammo and not block
  • Intercept force after friendly fire only spawns when near a perch/settlement
  • Intercept force spawns is based on the last killed enemy if you are civilian


[h2]UI[/h2]
  • Map/compass guidance always pops in after some distance from it
  • Save/load indicator moved to the left
  • Some of the worst offending text sizes scaled up (main menu, settings, shop and item names)
  • Landing indicator is now centred at the top of screen


[h2]Bug Fixes[/h2]
  • Pirate ships can no longer take the mawbridge >northgate route that led them past the prologue area
  • Charging from red or green ammo now correctly changes the ammo count from these upgraded pots.
  • Game-time slowing to 50% when landed prevented.
  • Buying your old bird back now refunds the proper amount, default birds refund zero
  • The miraculous survival chant now can't lead to a half-dead situation where the camera de-locks upon death
  • Windows version now forces the use of the dedicated GPU rather than the default on-board GPU. (for instance on laptops with two

The Hunter Update

The Hunter is available for unlocking

-the reward item should always fade out on a mission debrief
-the map reticule won't flicker in and out when zooming (it does hide if you start using the mouse, but that is intentional)
-the kraken main tenticle now doesn't dissapear suddenly when you kill it|
-the wreckdiver cinematic zoom now has a discovery notification text
-the fly ahead notification will always disappear after use
-the landing notification now has blinking text to alert the player better
