[DevTalks #5] Baits

Hello everyone,
It's time to regularly reveal the things we've been working on over the past months.

This news won't be long but rather a series of short news that we will try to post every week or two :)

So today...

BAITS

One thing we have been working on in the last few months has been bottom fishing and all kinds of additional activities related to it, such as making groundbaits.

As in real life, you will be able to mix few things together. In UFS2 you will be able to choose 3 types of ingredients. Each of them can be effective for different fish species.

Important note: visible packages are just for preview purposes.

You can choose how many specific ingredients you would like to put in the bucket. After that, you will have to add the proper amount of water. If you will add too much or not enough water, the bait will not be as effective as you would wish to but we implemented a special indicator that will help you do it right.

Water added? Good! Let's mix everything together!

Looking good! So how can you use it? In few different ways. First of all, you will be able to push it to your bottom fishing basket:

You can use bait also in a typical way:
 • Throw it into the water;
 • Shoot it with a slingshot.

Besides baits, we have been also doing some tweaks and fixes after the demo release. There have been some changes on the Jackson Park map, gameplay, fish fights, and UI.

Thats it for today! Tell us what you think about this feature!

Character design
One of the issues you reported was the poor quality of the characters in the game - and we've just been working on them recently! Please take a look at them and keep in mind - this is not the final look 😊
More than just adjustment
Besides fixes, thousands of new code lines, dozens of new fish species – we also prepare new features and equipment.

One of them is bait indicators and rod pods:
Early Access release
About the game release – it will be launched this year but we don’t want to publish a specific date yet. Once we will have everything ready and a QA pass, we will reveal all information!

Tight lines!
