Let's talk about wormholes and world generation

As we have said, one of the fundamental phenomena in SPACERIFT: Arcanum System will be "Wormholes".

They appear chaotically in different sectors, and each time they lead to different distant parts of the system.
This opens up a wide range of opportunities for different types of activities.
Explorers and discoverers will be able to travel to uncharted parts of space and collect information about a particular new sector, deposits of certain resources and the location of enemy forces.
Seekers of adventure and danger will go on a raid, where pirate or unknown ships will await them, ready to smash any ship of the arriving guest to pieces.
Entrepreneurs and group owners - find a profitable sector to capture territory and organize your own empire.
In the next patch, it will be loaded in the coming days into the closed version of the game, the galactic map will no longer be static, the game world will be saturated with new events and phenomena! 😊

October Update!

The game version has been updated!
Update List:
- Mechanics of creating a group / corporation;
- Setting the rules within the sector;
- Now you can build your own station!
- Added intruder system;
- Deepened the mechanics of ore mining;
- Added graphics settings;
- Now contract pirates appear only in neutral (dangerous) sectors;
- We gradually began work on localizing the game;
- New replicas for OS "FRIEND";
- New voice acting for NPC;
- The effect of accelerating the ship has been worked out;
- Added a new cockpit model. There will be more new models in the next patches. 😊

Among other things, some textures have been improved, including new outer space backgrounds.

Development progress for August

Hello, we want to inform you that the development of the project is being actively carried out and soon another update is waiting for you.
The following will be waiting for you in this update:

- New type of weapon - turret and several of its types
- A new type of ships for the player - a merchant ship.
- The mechanics of landing a merchant ship on a separate platform.
- Sector Map
- Context menu on RMB
- Improved visuals
- Interface for controlling turrets.
- Updated interface for highlighted target and loot.
And as a separate point I would like to inform you that we have begun active work on localization.

Development: new types of contracts, warehouses, AI, mining

Over the past months, many mechanics have been worked out, as well as new ones introduced.
List of innovations:
- Added several new sectors, the galactic map has been reformed;
- Added new resources for extracting them from meteorites;
- Now you can extract resources not only in the miner's belt;
- Now more time is given to supply the station with resources;
- Now NPC ships are assembled by the server in the same way as the player's ship: the NPC ship now actually has modules such as engine, shields, weapons installed, and all this affects the characteristics and class of the ship. All of this is subject to drop mechanics;
- Now, the rarer the item, the less likely it will drop when the ship dies (equivalent for players and NPCs). That is, now it is not always possible to fly after death and collect the entire set of your equipment. Some of the items are destroyed by explosion;
- Added division of contracts by difficulty. Now, if you take on the task "Destroy the pirate" of low complexity, then you will have to fight with the pirate who has the weakest weapons (and vice versa).
- Trade NPC ships now carry more resources, the more powerful their ship is equipped; Trade NPCs issue contracts with a payment corresponding to their equipment (the more heavily equipped a merchant is, the more valuable he is to transport goods - the more dangerous are defense contracts - the more money for execution);
- Rewritten the combat behavior of NPC ships. Now they can fly around obstacles during a battle, attack you from behind, maneuver, retreat if their shields are at their limit and make a variety of decisions based on the situation;
- Trade NPCs have finally learned how to handle turrets on their trade yachts;
- Fixed a number of bugs;
- Improved some visual effects.
