Mini-bosses

Mini-bosses are here! Boulder, Snapjaw, Rog, Grim, Prawn and Bullseye are new high-value targets that you need to take out during Assault runs!

Each zone in Deadtime Defenders has a mini-boss that will randomly spawn for any players past level 5. Every mini-boss comes with their own unique item drops - a new weapon and costume.

[h3]Features / Improvements[/h3]
• Mini-bosses: Boulder, Snapjaw, Rog, Grim, Prawn and Bullseye are new high-value targets that you need to take out during Assault runs!
• 6 new weapons and 6 new costumes you can earn from the mini-boss loot drops.
• Decreased the size of the mouse cursor.
• Renamed the Six-Shooter to the Sheriff since it doesn't always have six shots.

[h3]Rebalancing[/h3]
• Increased the difficulty of the enemies during the first few player levels since some players found the start of the game easy.

[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
• Fixed a bug with some input devices (Razer Orbweaver, etc.) being detected as gamepad controllers.
• Fixed a bug with the weight of the Wasp. They shouldn't push enemies around as much.
• Added advanced diagnostics stored in game log should a player require support.

Update 2 - Blitz Game Mode Added

Ready to test your mettle? Fight an onslaught of enemies in the NEW GAME MODE - BLITZ! Enemies will keep coming at you until you can't handle it! There is a clock forcing you to keep your kills up, but you'll receive more rewards the more enemies you defeat.



The new game modes we added in Updates 1 & 2 should provide more variety in the gameplay for players working towards Level 30 and hitting the end-game!

• New game mode (Blitz) added!
• Added tutorials to new games modes.
• Renamed Waves mode to Assault.
• Enemies spawn closer to the edge of the screen increasing the pacing especially in Blitz mode.
• Stat display is rounded to two decimal places to improve readability in all menus.

[h3]Rebalancing[/h3]
• Added chance to find legendary items during all game modes when you reach level 25.
• Rebalanced item rarity drop rates in the late / end-game.

[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
• Fixed a bug that allowed the Venus flytrap to not spawn correctly within the camera bounds.
• Fixed a bug with the ricochet talent not working when bullets hit the supply drop.
• Fixed a bug that would allow reload and magazine mods to be added to melee weapon.
• Fixed some bugs related to the enemy pathfinding in the Void.

Update 1 - Defend Game Mode Added

A supply drop has landed for the Deadtime Defenders and it's up to you to protect the shipment in the NEW GAME MODE - DEFEND!



You will have 90 seconds to keep the shipment in tip-top shape in order to receive the most amount of rewards. There are 3 stages of health for a shipment which will reward you 3, 2 or 1 steel crates when you successfully defend the supplies. You can use the repair rings to restore health back to the supply drop.

We've created a new level selection screen to help select different game modes plus we've done some rebalancing, bug fixes, and added some improvements. Full patch notes below.

Progress on the mini-boss update is going well and we should be launching it on time later this month!

• Added an action in the weapon inspection screen to remove all mods at once.
• Implemented 8 new weapon sprays.
• Added confirmation alert when trying to sell equipped items.

[h3]Rebalancing[/h3]
• Weapon drop rate increased.
• Costume drop rate reduced.
• Ricochet bullets will only rebound a few times with reducing damage.
• Decreased Commando perk from 25% to 20%.
• Decreased Gunslinger perk from 25% to 20%.
• Decreased Slugger perk from 25% to 20%.
• Decreased Specialist perk from 25% to 20%.
• Increased max health of the Big Alien enemy.
• Reduced melee weapon damage.
• Reduced rocket launcher damage.
• There is now a slight chance that wood crates will spawn loot.
• Increased the collision size for the Wasp enemy.
• Increased the size of the crate collision box.

[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]
• Fixed a bug that prevented the correct hours played count from being displayed on a save slot.
• Fixed a bug that wasn't tracking the last wave being completed during a run.
• Removed the rarity display for a weapon spray in the item details box.
• Fixed bugs that caused bullets to not react correctly when hitting an enemy shield.
• Fixed a bug that prevented selecting categories in the Codex menu with the gamepad.

Early Access Roadmap Revealed

Now that we've launched Deadtime Defenders onto Steam - we want to share our roadmap with everyone for the features coming during Early Access in 2020!
