Inside the Garage: Building the Fairlady Z432 for JDM.
Ossu!
With the launch of JDM: Japanese Drift Master just around the corner, we're giving you a special behind-the-scenes look at how we brought one of the most legendary JDM icons into the game — the Fairlady Z432.
In our newest video, Senior Vehicle Artist - Ehsan walks you through the full process of turning a real car into a fully drivable in-game machine. It all starts with cutting-edge 3D scanning — capturing every curve, edge, and surface detail of the real Fairlady Z432 for perfect reference.

From there, we dive into:
- 3D modeling: shaping the body, refining edges, and adding all the little features that make the Fairlady Z432 stand out;
- Texturing: creating lifelike materials using PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows — from glossy paint and polished chrome to realistic rubber and glass;
- Interior work: crafting the dashboard, seats, and retro radio to look just like the real thing;
- Optimization & implementation: making sure it all runs smoothly in-game, without sacrificing detail.
