JDM: Rise of the Scorpion Content Update
Ossu,
Over the past few weeks, we've been hard at work preparing the latest major update for the free prologue, JDM: Rise of the Scorpion. In this devlog, we’ll walk you through the new fixes, features, and some exciting upcoming news.

One of the key updates was transitioning JDM: Rise of the Scorpion to the JDM: Japanese Drift Master Steam page, where it will remain available as a free-to-play prologue-demo.
Now, let's dive into the details of the changes included in the latest update:

Additions:
- Online Leaderboards in Challenge Mode. Both the grip and drift challenges will have their own active Leaderboards. The players will see them after a finished race, or they can be accessed anytime from the Challenge Menu > Leaderboards. On the leaderboard tables, you will be able to check various stats for the score, including what car was used and what assists were turned on. It’s time to show who is the real king of Guntama streets!
- Three new cars were added to the Challenge Mode. All of them have been mechanically and visually tuned for the occasion:
- Mazda RX8,
- Mazda MX-5 (NA),
- Subaru BRZ II. - Added a new input preset for the Moza R5 Steering Wheel.
- Added HGP Shifter and HBP Handbrake to supported devices.

- Fixed issues that blocked input swapping between the devices. Now you can freely use any connected input interchangeably.
- Fixed a critical issue where input would hard lock in the client after unplugging your steering wheel, completely locking you out of input control over the game. Unplugging a device will no longer be an issue, and the game will switch to another connected device on the first button press.
- Fixed the issues when using the steering wheel to move around the in-game menus. D-Pad, as well as command confirmations, cancels, etc., should now work as expected. You can now use your steering wheel without the need to pick up a gamepad or keyboard.
- Fixes to the driving gear physics and suspension for all cars in the Challenge mode.
- Additional minor tweaks and fixes across the game.
