Patch Notes v0.2.4

General
  • Fixed a bug that was breaking character skin textures on Quest 3.
  • Applied performance optimizations to reduce texture issues on Quest.
  • Fixed a issue where smooth turning was too slow. Smooth Turn speed increased.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing helmets and hats to clip into players' heads and obstruct the view.
  • Fixed bug where certain items were causing slow movement speed for players.
  • The Ilysia Department of Fish and Wildlife has distributed the correct fish to rivers, lakes, and ponds.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing players to be set to 6 HP when interacting with Imperial tutorial island gravestones.
  • Fixed Ring of Friendship item name.
  • Currency/Vendor update: Fixed a bug that now correctly lets merchants buy items from players.
  • Currency/Vendor update: Fixed a bug that now correctly lets merchants sell items to players.
  • Currency/Vendor update: Fixed a bug where currency was not showing for players in the UI.
  • Currency/Vendor update: Currency will now auto-exchange copper/silver/gold amounts.

Questing
  • Fixed quest “The Cursed Well” where herbs were not dropping from skeleton warriors.
  • Fixed quest “The Tomb” where players could not pick up the ritual items and complete the quest.
  • Fixed quest “Something Fishy” where mythical blue anglerfish were not dropping.
  • Fixed quest “The Thing About Igara and Mines” where players were unable to complete quest.
  • Fixed quest “Finding Boreas” where quest dialogue and Waydar took players to the wrong location.
  • Fixed quest “Travel to Fort Ironhold” where the Waydar and quest objective were in the wrong location.


Combat
  • Fixed a bug where Warden serrated arrow was not working. Skill will now activate properly.
  • Fixed a bug where Warden Fire Arrow was not applying DoT
  • Crab type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted
  • Wolf type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted
  • Boar type mobs have had their hitbox adjusted

General
  • Fixed a bug causing Quest users to crash when loading into the world and showing a blue/green skybox.
  • Added Smooth Turning to comfort options.
  • Consolidated low population servers into highest population servers to condense players for more group play.
  • Fixed a bug that caused users to crash when pressing Refresh Voice setting option in their Codex.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented users from hearing one another when in parties.
  • Added a current news page on Ilysia main menu/login screen.
  • Added race descriptions to character creation menu.
  • Fixed an issue where hitting tutorial combat dummies loop sword impact sound effects.


Questing
  • Fixed quest “The Cursed Well” where herbs were not dropping from skeleton warriors.
  • Fixed quest “Investigating the Toka and Igara” was not being given to players correctly.
  • Fixed quest “The Road to the North” where Captain Decimus was not correctly offering the quest to players correctly, unblocking glider access.
  • Fixed quest “Creature Care” and Corrupted Boar Tusks now correctly count towards the quest objective.
  • Fixed quest “Procuring Potions” where the quest marker was not showing for the correct location.
  • Fixed quest “Something Fishy” and Blue Angler fish are now dropping correctly for the Dominion faction.
  • Fixed quest “Into the Darkness” and marker now takes players to Azabetha NPC.
  • Fixed quest “The Four Seals” and now has players collecting the right amount of seals.
  • Fixed quest “Bumming it Out” Pilferpaws now correctly count towards quest objective.
  • Fixed quest “Travel to Weskellet” and will now be marked as complete when arriving to the town.
  • Fixed quest “Return to Sender” and quest chain now directs you back to Iginus upon completion.
  • Fixed quest “Over and Out” and Extra marker has been removed.
  • Fixed quest “Set Sail/Departure” And quest prompts the right quest chain to get on the boat.
  • Fixed quest “Barefoot In The Night” and boots are not obtainable to complete quest.
  • Fixed quest “Sam Is Waiting For You” where quest name was showing incorrectly.
  • Fixed quest "Running into Raiders" where Attalos was not offering the quest to players correctly.


Combat
  • Fixed a bug where Warden Charge Shot was adding an additional buff and applying an unrelated visual effect.
  • Fixed a bug where Warden pets despawned any time a spell was cast.
  • Fixed an issue where players were receiving damage outside of Bal’Ramos cave.
  • Fixed various mob spawners that were causing mobs to spawn or get stuck inside walls.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Elite mobs in Bal'Ramos from dropping dungeon set boots.

Patch v0.2.2

Gameplay/Flow:
  • A combination of bugs allowed players to reach max level very quickly while skipping most of the game's content. This has been adjusted in this patch.
  • Experience - Mobs now correctly give you diminishing returns on XP as you out-level them.
  • Added a new tutorial pop-up to the starting island to address feedback about needing more information on how to play.
  • Added to all the Astra names to make it more obvious they are there on the starting island.
Authentication:
  • Login Error: Not authorized to perform this action - we have redone the authentication workflow to make it easier to understand how to correctly link accounts.
Combat:
  • Damage ranges - Both mobs and players are now correctly doing their calculated range of damage instead of a broken fixed amount per attack.
  • Charged Shot - no longer doing an extra 450% damage on top of it's multiplier.
  • Charged Strike - no longer doing an extra 200% damage on top of it's multiplier.
  • Charged Strike - no longer incorrectly dealing AoE Damage
  • Charged Strike - Cooldown/mana cost increased
  • Critical strike chance - Critical Strike chance calculation was causing guaranteed critical hits under some circumstances.
General:
  • Treasure chests should no longer randomly decide to follow you around
  • Starting island training dummies will no longer fight back.
Quest fixes:
  • Sam is waiting for you: wrong name in dialog.
  • Creature Care: Objective not updating after pick-up.
  • Procuring Potions: Marker not correct.
  • Something Fishy: Incorrect fish or fish not found.
  • Into the Darkness: Incorrect POI Marker.
  • The Four Seals: Incorrect number of Seals collected.
  • Bumming It Out: Missing POI Marker.

Ilysia Launches into Early Access TODAY!

Hey, everyone!

The time for Early Access is finally here!

You’ll be able to jump into the world of Ilysia starting TODAY, October 11th at 5PM PST 🎉

Our team has been working hard to address the feedback from our community, and along with hundreds of bug fixes and changes to what you might have seen in our previous testing phases, you’ll also notice some more brand new changes in Early Access:

🔸 We’ve brought back the FreeForge system, and players will be able to adventure through Ilysia while utilizing different skill trees!


Warden | Embrace the power of the hunt, refine your archery skills, and summon powerful beasts to join you on your travels.

Mystic | Dabble in the Arcane, draw your powers, and cast spells that bring enemies down with intricate arcane rituals.

Holy | Call upon magic that mends or fuels those around you, channeling the sacred energies of healing spells to restore and protect.

Martial | Get up close and personal with heavy attacks and strike combos against formidable foes.


🔸 llysia in Early Access will feature 4 playable races in two opposing factions, the first 15 levels of character progression, 4 skill trees, 3 dungeons with different design mechanics, and a sizeable world to explore!

🔸 We're happy to announce servers in the following regions for launch:
- US East
- US West
- Central EU
- Australia


What can you expect as we go into Early Access?

First and foremost, during EA, you can expect open communication and weekly Tuesday patch days addressing incoming bugs and feature updates with detailed patch notes. Additionally, we are working on our public roadmap and looking forward to sharing it with you in the coming weeks about larger quarterly updates and future plans!


🔸 Known Issues:

Outside of smaller tweaks, below are some of the known issues we're currently working on:
  • Quest objective POIs do not clean off the Waydar when you complete them;
  • Quest NPC Turn in POI markers only show on the Waydar if you're within 200 yards;
  • If you get stuck and have to use the 'return to graveyard' button while on the starting island you may have to walk back to the keep to resume questing;
  • Warden pets have sleepy attitudes and don't always do their special skills;
  • The Oculus Quest 3 has broken player skin textures;
  • Interacting with world graveyard stones can inadvertently lower your health;
  • Some mobs will get bored during battle and ignore you, we are meeting them one on one and will be issuing a performance action plan to remedy these behaviors;
  • Shields behave oddly when equipped in the right hand;
  • The airship crew has been a bit overzealous waxing the ship. Watch out for some take offs as you may slip off! Should be solved once we get 'em to wipe off the excess wax;
  • PVP flagging will unflag after two minutes of play;
  • Some UI text is hard to read on mobile VR;
  • The power of gravestones currently negatively affects the living. Some townsfolk say they are feeling weak when touching them. Until we can consult our expert necromancer, we recommend leaving gravestone interaction to the dead.



🔸 Your MagePortal account works in conjunction with your platform store accounts to access the world of Ilysia™

Below are some instructions that, while explained in the login scene, we are also putting here in step by step detail to help you linking your accounts to play Ilysia.

1. Launch game
2. Click Oculus/Steam button
3. Enter email/password
- If you already have a MagePortal account, use the email/password you use to log into MagePortal
- If you do not have a MagePortal account, enter your email/password and an account will be created for you

4. Click "Create Account"
5. When the message comes back that a verification email was sent to you, go to your inbox and follow the instructions in that email
6. Go back to the game and click Oculus/Steam again to finish logging in.

Each time you launch the game after following these steps, clicking Oculus/Steam will log you in without needing to enter an email/password.
