Patch 0.6.7.2 (Hotfix)

Here is the hotfix changelog for the most major issues we found from yesterday's big update, plus some minor fixes as well. The biggest and most important fix relates to npc's sometimes getting into a broken state, not interacting. This patch should fix those save files.

If you have any issues with Ardenfall, please join our discord! Sending us your save file can also be a HUGE help for us - several bugs fixed today were possible due to players submitting bug reports and save files!

Patch 0.6.7: Demo Release!

Before we go into the patch notes, we just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who tested our softlaunched demo! We got SO much amazing feedback, and tried to apply the most common feedback into the upcoming patch. It’s been a blast interacting with the community, and we very much looking forward to growing it further!

This patch will require new saves due to all of the changes to quests.

  • Better Melee Animations: Now your weapon won't repeat the same swing animation over and over again
  • Input Remapping: You can now remap inputs to whatever keys you desire
  • Steam Achievements: We added a handful of steam achievements! Try to unlock them all :)
  • New Quests: Two new quests, Amphibious Ambassador and Frogs of War

  • Changed great axe charge attack to knockback
  • Made player leveling/combat power progress faster

  • Balanced summoning magic
  • Lowered gold costs for spells and potions
  • Reduced strength of knockback enchantment

Ardenfall Demo Patch 0.6.6 Changelog

The third patch for Ardenfall's softlaunched demo has arrived! This comes with a handful of small features, and a ton of improvements and fixes.

Features:
  • Added “Custom Map Marker” system
  • Made arrows / throwing knives re-lootable from corpse
  • Added simple clock to quest menu
  • Added Niko monster variant 
  • Added Niko SFX


Improvements:
  • Made “Q” open the Quest Journal, instead of the Map
  • Optimized distance terrain not stripping higher level LODs
  • Made non humanoids unable to open doors
  • Improved Poison Ball spell
  • Added new starting item set for summoners
  • Improved ranged and assassin starting item sets
  • Minor optimizations on lighting systems
  • Reduced blur in water

The second patch for the Ardenfall Demo is here - consisting of some MAJOR save related fixes, plus a few minor features and tons of smaller fixes.

Ardenfall Demo Patch 0.6.4 Changelog

The first official Ardenfall Demo patch has come! This patch fixes many major issues, with a few quality of life additions here and there, and some balance tweaks to fix glaring issues. The next patch will most likely contain many more balance changes, and of course more fixes!

  • Made arrows guaranteed to be re-picked up
  • Increased chance for mage robes and lockpicks to appear in containers
  • Increased chance for spell slates to appear in merchant trades
