Update 1.18.0.1

[p]Hello everyone! We're releasing a quick update today to address some issues reported to us since the release of 1.18.0 on Tuesday. We are currently working on a more substantial update to address more outstanding issues, but we believe it is important to push fixes for these particular issues as soon as possible. We're also aware of an issue regarding renaming titles in the current live version of the game. We have a fix for this problem, which will be deployed in an update coming next week. [/p]

[p]
[/p]
Update 1.18.0.1 Changelog

Bugfixes
• [p]Corrected the Song dynasty ruler in 1178 and fixed various genealogical irregularities in the ruling Zhao dynasty's ancestry.[/p]
• [p]Fixed the flavorization of Korean rulers defaulting to inappropriate fallbacks.[/p]
• [p]Temple Citadel Holdings can now be upgraded by non-Mandala rulers.[/p]
• [p]Fixed some Korean heritages not being able to use the “Unite the Husamgeuk” decision.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a rare startup crash relating to story cycles.[/p]
• [p]Made the default candidates of the Meritocratic Regent Succession the same as for the Japanese Regency succession form, this makes the close family of the top ruler valid candidates.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a game over caused by combining the Game Rule “Player Administrative Realms - Always” with playing the Japanese Ten'no.[/p]
• [p]Fixed Shi Miyuan having the wrong gender.[/p]
• [p]The Byzantine emperor will no longer stand holding a Hu in one of the budget events.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash that happened on the conclusion screen of an activity if it was being kept open fairly long.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash that can happen if you opened both the catalyst and participation windows of different sub-regions in the Silk Road situation window.[/p]
[p][/p]
Game Balance
• [p]Balanced Duke-tier income a bit down in bureaucratic governments (Admin/Celestial/Meritocratic), and Kingdom-tier a bit up, so it’s (almost) always a good upgrade.[/p]
• [p]When an Escalated Peasant Faction resolves, the involved Counties will no longer immediately form another one and the peasants will stay pacified for a while.[/p]
• [p]Tweaked/added modifiers for having an existing Escalated faction, so that the Counties don't flip-flop between that faction and Populist faction, and to no longer create the faction and disband it immediately.[/p]
• [p]Added a catalyst for the Dynastic Cycle to force Emperors who hold less than 30% of the de-jure Hegemony into the Division Era, similar to losing the Mandate of Heaven (it is better for China to reform stronger, rather than to persist as a small scattered realm).[/p]
• [p]Made the Dynastic Cycle ticking catalyst for holding less than 50% of China a bit stronger.[/p]
• [p]Made AI rulers less likely to use the Hegemonic Consolidation CB, if they are not involved in the Dynastic Cycle situation, or culturally related to the Dynastic Cycle. If they have an aggressive AI archetype or are a conqueror, they have a higher chance.[/p]

Ambitious new Crusader Kings 3 expansion All Under Heaven is a win for Paradox, right when it needed it most

It's been a rough few months for Paradox, but it's looking like new Crusader Kings 3 DLC All Under Heaven might be the glimmer of light it desperately needed. Performance woes have driven the latest Stellaris expansion into the red on Steam, development on Civ rival Millenia was recently brought to a close, Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 launched to a rather damp reception, and the last CK3 add-on fell horribly short of expectations. But now its giant, Asia-themed expansion has just landed, perhaps the most ambitious for the grand strategy game yet, and the early signs are very good.

Southeast Asia
• [p]New Government Type: Mandala[/p]
• [p]A new type of government where a God-King, or Devaraja, rules over voluntary tributaries rather than feudal vassals.[/p]
• [p]Pietyplays a large role in the Mandala government and Mandala rulers have access to a higher Level of Devotion: Godlike.[/p]
• [p]Piety can be gained through additional means such as constructing Pious Buildings and Temple Citadels.[/p]
• [p]Mandala Tributaries, primarily accumulated by Embracing other Mandala rulers, provide Piety as well as Gold and Levies to their Mandala Suzerain. The Tributary status is also inherited on Tributary succession.[/p]
• [p]The higher Piety levels provide you with a significant portion of Radiance.[/p]
• [p]The number of Direct Vassals are limited under the Mandala Government Form. Instead, the Liege and Suzerain are reliant on Tributaries for expanding their realms.[/p]
• [p]The Mandala Realms thrive under good kings and wane under unpopular ones, as tributaries can easily abandon a ruler that is not worthy. Successful kings aim to be seen as gods.[/p]
• [p]It is important to maintain Opinion and grow relations with your Tributaries in an effort to keep them long-term.[/p]
• [p]It pays off to groom your heir; on Mandala Succession your Tributaries may scatter unless the ruler can prove to be a worthy Devaraja Successor.[/p]
• [p]As a Tributary of a Mandala, you can perform Tribute Missions to pay your respects and tribute to the God King, gaining more legitimacy and prestige in their local realm in return.[/p]
• [p]Mandala Aspects: Each aspect focuses on a specific lifestyle and will inform your playstyle by providing bonuses for your house and for the house head. All Mandala Aspects have multiple levels that you can upgrade to, providing new and stronger bonuses[/p]
• [p]Aspect of Creation[/p]
• [p]Creation, tied to being the bringer of life and construction, primarily focuses on building buildings, producing offspring and accumulating wealth.[/p]
• [p]Aspect of Serenity[/p]
• [p]Serenity, the bringer of peace and prosperity, focuses on avoiding offensive wars as well as fostering diplomacies and maintaining good relationships.[/p]
• [p]Aspect of Destruction[/p]
• [p]Destruction, the bringer of change and renewal, focuses on displays of strength and bringing other rulers under tribute.[/p]
• [p]On higher levels, they may create Mandala Tributaries using the Bring Under Tribute Casus Belli.[/p]
• [p]Aspect of Trickery[/p]
• [p]Trickery, the bringer of deceit, secrets and subtle control, focuses on scheming and making others do what you want them to do — whether they want to or not.[/p]
• [p]Mandala Decrees:[/p]
• [p]The realm laws, Mandala Decrees, are unlocked by your Aspect.[/p]
• [p]They allow you to propagate what your focus is at the moment, which unlocks bonuses, trade-offs and influences how your subjects may act.[/p]
• [p]Mandala Rituals:[/p]
• [p]Once you've settled on an Aspect, Mandala rulers will get the odd request to go out into their realm to prove their divinity and strengthen the realm by assisting the local population.[/p]
• [p]It is important to go out and please your followers, otherwise they might turn against you.[/p]
• [p]Rituals change depending on what Aspect you have chosen.[/p]
• [p]Mandala Capital Temple Complexes[/p]
• [p]Through the use of Great Projects, tributaries and rulers of Mandala realms can fund big Capital Temples to the glory of the God-King.[/p]
• [p]These buildings will show on the map and will provide bonuses to be able to hold more land, more direct vassals and to grow a larger permanent realm.[/p]
• [p]They also provide a certain portion of Radiance.[/p]
• [p]Radiant God-Kings[/p]
• [p]A Mandala ruler can aspire to be seen as a God-King, or Devaraja, and then relies on Mandala Radiance to acquire and keep Tributaries.[/p]
• [p]Radiance is calculated based on the character’s Level of Devotion, the level of their Mandala Aspect and the level of their Capital Temple Complex.[/p]
• [p]Added a dedicated Radiance Map Mode, unlocked by possessing a Capital Temple Complex.[/p]
• [p]This informs you about what realms are likely to accept a Tributarization offer, in addition to displaying competing Mandala ruler's Temples.[/p]
• [p]Achieve high enough levels of Radiance, and even other government types may be willing to offer tribute to you…[/p]
• [p]New Schemes: The new schemes are primarily unlocked by achieving certain levels of an Aspect[/p]

• [p]Added 1 bookmark based in Southeast Asia:[/p]
• [p]Living Gods on Earth (867)[/p]
• [p]This bookmark focuses on Southeast Asia just as the proliferation of god kings has started to really take hold of the region. City states such as Pagan, Angkor and Haripuñjaya all have divine aspirations and rely on their growing tributary networks to assert the authority a Devaraja deserves.[/p]

• [p]Added new Points of Interest type for visiting Devaraja Capital Temple Complexes.[/p]
• [p]New Government Type: Wanua[/p]
• [p]A new maritime Tribal type government for the islands of Southeast Asia. Wanua realms generally have smaller domains and fewer vassals than mainland Tribals, but make up for it with bonuses to traveling over water, new building lines, and access to Bartering. They can also release subjects as Wanua Tributaries, who are more ‘sticky’ and provide more bonuses than standard subjugated tributaries.[/p]
• [p]Wanua rulers earn very little Gold from buildings, but they are able to cross the seas to raid and barter far more effectively than their continental Tribal counterparts.[/p]
• [p]This Government form allows the Raiding of foreign Counties for Loot.[/p]
• [p]Unlocks the ability to Raid over seas.[/p]
• [p]They also have access to the new Bartering mechanic:[/p]
• [p]Buildings in Wanua realms will produce Bartering Goods.[/p]
• [p]For this, Wanua Governments have an extra building slot compared to regular Tribals.[/p]
• [p]Armies can be raised as non-hostile Barterers. These units can be moved to nearby realms to exchange Bartering Goods for Loot through peaceful means.[/p]
• [p]When finishing a barter mission, you will leave a positive modifier in the affected holding, and the owner of the area will gain opinion of you.[/p]
• [p]Unlike raiding, you can Barter with your Suzerain and your Tributaries (so keeping a few Wanua tributaries around when you are playing as a Mandala is a good idea!).[/p]
• [p]Barterers and Raiders may clash in foreign lands, the winner will take the loot from the loser.[/p]
• [p]Wanua Governments have synergies with the Mandala Government as they gain Legitimacy from being a Tributary.[/p]

• [p]You have access to Influence, Noble Families, Family Estates, Treasury[/p]
• [p]Independent rulers have Legitimacy, while Vassals focus on obtaining merit.[/p]
• [p]In Meritocratic realms, Merit is capped at the 5th Merit rank.[/p]
• [p]Upon reaching Empire tier, a Ceremonial Monarch title will be created, and the realm will adopt Meritocratic Regency succession, allowing a bureaucrat to take power as a Ruling Regent.[/p]
• [p]New Government Type: Meritocratic Khanate[/p]
• [p]A fusion of the nomadic way of life with the Confucian bureaucracy of the centralized Chinese Administrative government, used by Great Liao and Jin[/p]
• [p]This government keeps Nomadic Tributaries, who are required to aid them during wars, making for powerful swarms of highly potent units.[/p]
• [p]This is a government form similar to Celestial and Meritocratic, but originating from Nomadic governments.[/p]
• [p]Like in Meritocratic governments, you have access to Influence, Noble Families, Family Estates, Merit, and Treasury. Rulers have Legitimacy rather than Merit.[/p]
• [p]Merit is also capped at the 5th Merit rank.[/p]
• [p]Like in Nomadic governments, you can still enforce Obedience, maintain Tributaries and have a higher maximum Dread.[/p]
• [p]New Situation: The Silk Road.[/p]
• [p]The Silk Road is a predefined route of provinces that run from China towards the west, the provinces all gain development from the route dependent on the current phase of the Silk Road situation.[/p]
• [p]The Road is divided into 6 different Regions, each with its own current Phase[/p]
• [p]Phases change depending on events in regions to the east, generally originating in China, and depending on if the Dynastic Cycle is in a Stable or Unstable era. During the Unstable Phases wealth along the route will start to dry up.[/p]
• [p]Each Region has a Trade Hub county with an upgradeable Special Building line, to further tap into the riches flowing along the route.[/p]
• [p]Silk Innovations will spreadfrom the east, with new Innovations originating in China and travelling along westwards, allowing those that control the route to acquire them.[/p]

All Under Heaven: Release Schedule & Changelog

[p]Hello folks,[/p][p][/p][p]The release of All Under Heaven is just a few days away, and we want to share the changelog ahead of time to give you an idea of what to expect once the update goes live. We're also including a release schedule so you can tell what date/time All Under Heaven will release for you.[/p][p][/p][p]All of us at Studio Black, here in Stockholm, are so excited to share this with you. All Under Heaven might just be the biggest expansion we've made for Crusader Kings 3. Growing the map by roughly 30% has definitely had its challenges, but it's been a long-term ambition of ours to establish a complete map of the Old World as a base to build on. While working on adding east Asia, we've had the chance to meet and talk with so many members of our community. All Under Heaven flourished with the aid of so many useful insights, and so much fruitful collaboration with our fans. We have a lot to thank you all for.[/p][p]The accompanying 1.18.0 free update for the base game is called ‘Crane’. For the cultures we’ve striven to represent in-game, the beloved crane symbolizes happiness, longevity, and the connection between heaven and our mortal world.[/p][p][/p][p]We hope that you all will have as great a time playing All Under Heaven as we did creating it![/p][p][/p][p]Signed,[/p][p]Alexander Oltner, Game Director[/p][p]Henrik Lohmander, Design Lead[/p][p]Lucia Dzediti, Producer[/p][p]Daan Broekhof, Programmer / Code Owner[/p][p]Jacob Blakey, Community Manager[/p][p]and everyone else at Paradox Studio Black and Paradox Interactive[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p][/p]
Unfortunately, the changelog exceeds the character limit for a Steam post!
[p]You can read the full changelog by following this link to our forums.[/p][p] [/p][p]As a reminder: This update is NOT live yet![/p][p] [/p]

[p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
