If you'd like to see more of stuff like this, make sure to follow our socials! You can find them at the bottom of this post.
After releasing Necesse 1.0 back in October, the team has been taking some well deserved vacation. Which also means that this update isn't as big as our usual major content updates.
Alright, let's dive into the update!
This time around we've chosen to focus on in-game balancing, adventure party improvements and adding more critters/wildlife to Necesse.

We have buffed the resilience gain on true melee weapons quite a bit and also improved a lot of resilience trinkets. While we know that this isn't a final solution for making true melee as viable as all the other classes, we believe that it's a step in the right direction.
We have also slightly buffed the health of all Incursion content while reducing the overall damage of Incursion enemies. The intent here is to prevent powerful builds from making bosses irrelevant by killing them in a few seconds, while also not making you die quickly in just a couple of hits.
We'll make sure to monitor feedback for this change over the coming weeks, so don't hesitate to submit feedback in-game or on our socials if Incursions feel too hard/easy. Note that we can't respond to feedback submitted in-game.

As mentioned on our roadmap, we've also made some improvements to adventure parties and settlement management in general.
You can now search for settlers by name/role and also assign them to specific groups. This way you'll only need to do a single click to select the settlers you want to bring with you, when it's time to go spelunking.

We have also brought some new friends to the world of Necesse! Friendly creatures such as butterflies, fireflies, cave cropplers... And sharks. Sharks are friendly right?
Some of the other features in this update include:
You can read the full changelog below.
I'd also once again like to personally thank everyone who purchased and played Necesse during the launch of 1.0. It has been absolutely breathtaking to see all of you enjoy our game and we can't wait to show what we have planned for Necesse in 2026.
Enjoy the update and the holidays everyone!
