Community Challenge: Raiders of the Lost Stations

[p]Greetings Sleepers,[/p][p]With the arrival of Chapter 3, the sands have shifted to reveal brand new Imperial Testing Stations! To celebrate our biggest update yet, we’re launching our first ever community challenge you can participate in to get some exclusive in-game rewards.[/p][p]From right now, February 5th, until Feb 16, 2026 08:59 CET, successfully complete these new Testing Stations on an official server and work together to reach each milestone.[/p][p]During this event, survival is a collaborative effort. Whether you prefer to venture into the depths alone or watch the backs of your allies, every successful completion brings you closer to the goal. We have designed this challenge to be inclusive of all playstyles, meaning a Testing Station completion will count towards each milestone regardless of the difficulty level selected. Additionally, progress is tracked per player. If you complete a Testing Station with a team of three, for example, your victory will contribute three points toward the global total.[/p][p]There are three milestones to hit, each of which unlocks an exclusive reward for your character. While the rewards are global, the pride is local. We’ll be posting daily updates on our Discord server through a new announcement channel, as well as updating the social channels with completion numbers per region.[/p][p]To participate, complete any of the following stations as many times as you wish to help the community reach its goals:[/p]

[p]Once the event window closes and the dust settles, all earned rewards will be delivered. These will be account-wide items, so they’ll be available on any and all of your characters. They will also be applied to players on private servers, if unlocked by the community on official server. If you aren’t able to participate in this event, no fear, all milestone rewards will be granted to everyone even if you didn’t have a chance to run any Testing Stations. Additionally, these will be available to buy in the future through an in-game vendor with Solari.[/p][p][/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue where ammo and medical loot boxes inside dungeon wave rooms would respawn at a very fast rate. Now, loot outside of combat rooms in dungeons won't respawn any longer. In combat rooms, ammo respawns after two minutes, while health kits respawn after fifteen minutes.[/p]
[h3]Worldbuilding and Exploration:[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could fall through terrain in the Deadly Poison journey.[/p]
[h3]Story, Journey and New Player Experience:[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed an issue for players who were already blocked in the story, if they missed the “Investigate the suboid corpse” step in the Extinguishing the Flames Journey.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where all completed story voice lines and journey pop-ups were played/shown after a player launched the game after the Chapter 3 update for the first time.[/p]
[h3]Landsraad:[/h3]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where some players got demoted from faction rank 5 to rank 4 after the Chapter 3 update.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could attempt to buy more items from Landsraad vendors than they could afford. The player didn’t receive anything, but the vendor items disappeared from stock.[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a crash that could happen if a specific placeable was in a base backed up before the Chapter 3 update, and the player unholstered the Base Reconstruction Tool after the update.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where players could end up blocked in the story if they missed the “Investigate the suboid corpse” step in the Extinguishing the Flames Journey.[/p]
    • [p]This fix does not address the issue retroactively for those who experienced it before this version was released. A retroactive fix will be included in the next hotfix, to be released as soon as possible.[/p]

Chapter 3 Free Update and Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC Out Now!

[p]Well met Sleepers, [/p][p]Chapter 3 is our biggest update yet, reshaping the endgame and opening new paths of progression across Arrakis and responding to the biggest requests from our community. In addition, a new DLC is out now, Raiders of the Broken Lands. There is a lot packed into this update so we will walk you through the highlights below, but you can find the full patch notes here. [/p][p]The update is comprised of two main parts. The first is the free update which everyone who owns Dune: Awakening has access to immediately. The second is the DLC Raiders of the Broken Lands also available immediately to anyone who bought the Season pass, the Deluxe or the Ultimate Editions at no additional cost. Otherwise, you can get access to it for $9.99, or buy the full season pass for $24.99. [/p][h2]Chapter 3 Free Update [/h2][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][h3]Revamped Endgame Progression [/h3][p]At the heart of Chapter 3 is a redesigned Landsraad that gives players more to do, more rewards, and deeper customization in playstyle. Endgame progression will still be focused around the Landsraad, but this has been completely rebuilt. Now, you will be able to select Missions, a new activity type, which will earn them Faction Ranks, Great House Standing and Specialization XP. Let’s go through these one by one: [/p]
  1. [p]Faction Ranks – This has been expanded to include additional levels. At the end of the ladder, the Faction leader you’ve chosen will give you a brand-new special mission to culminate your rise in the ranks. [/p]
  2. [p]Great House Standing – Like before, the Landsraad is decided by earning favor with Great Houses. But going forward, you will select a mission first and decide which Great House you will earn standing with. [/p]
  3. [p]Specialization XP – Every mission will give you a new type of XP that will level up one of the 5 new specializations. We’ll get into this mechanic next. [/p]
[p][/p][p][/p][h3]Specialization [/h3][p]We are introducing 5 new specialization tracks that let you deeper refine how you play: Crafting, Gathering, Exploration, Combat and Sabotage. These can be progressed with Specialization XP. Doing this will unlock unique traits which will offer significant bonuses, like increasing headshot damage, inventory slots or unlock entire technologies like Augmentation. [/p][p][/p][h3]Augmentation progression [/h3][p]Augments can be added to Unique Tier 6 weapons and Armor to increase their power even further. There are tons of new augments to discover and craft. The schematics for these can be found in the new Testing Stations and they can be added to gear in the new Augmentation Station. Unlocking Augmentation requires progression in the Crafting Specialization. Once gear has been augmented though, items can be shared and traded. [/p][p][/p][h3]New Overland Map Locations [/h3][p]To house these new missions, 10 new overland map locations have been added, as well as new locations to support the new chapter of the story and new Faction Rank contracts. In addition, the overland map has received some visual changes and we have removed the Fuel and Water requirements. [/p][p][/p][h3]5 New challenge Locations [/h3][p]5 of the new locations are dedicated to repeatable challenges. These are the setting for the new Landsraad Missions which will progress your Specialization, Faction Rank and Great House Standing. [/p][p][/p][h3]5 New Repeatable Testing Stations [/h3][p]You can also find 5 new Repeatable Testing Stations. These all feature a new type of boss fight which will require players to develop new tactics. In addition, these can be repeated and the difficulty can be scaled. Higher difficulty yields higher rewards. [/p][p][/p][h3]New Chapter [/h3][p]The story continues with Chapter 3. Fight through the Neo Carthag Duelling ring, and team up with an unexpected ally as you dig deeper into the mystery of your origin. [/p][p][/p][h3]New Weapons and Rapier Rework [/h3][p]Two new weapon types have been added: The Pyrocket and the Dual-Wielded Knives. The Rapier has also been completely reworked with new moves, attacks and defenses. [/p][p][/p][h3]Removed Base Taxes [/h3][p]Base Taxes have been fully removed. Base upkeep is now simpler, clearer, and far less disruptive to play. [/p][p]Power requirements are still active to avoid building locations from being blocked indefinitely by inactive players, but with the removal of taxes and the Base Reconstruction Tool, base upkeep should be greatly simplified. [/p][p][/p][h3]Return Package [/h3][p]For those who will be returning to Arrakis after an extended absence, we’re introducing Return Packages. These are designed to help returning players get back into the action quickly, without needing to rebuild from scratch and can be accessed via the escape menu. [/p][p][/p][h3]Deep Desert Changes [/h3][p]We have also polished the layout of the Deep Desert expanding the shield wall across the whole of the southern section of the map. And we’ve added more ramps to make the endless dunes easier to reach with ground vehicles. [/p][p][/p][h3]New Rewards, Pieces and Cosmetics [/h3][p]Included in the mechanics mentioned above are a series of rewards offering much more cosmetic variety to Dune: Awakening. These include new Vehicle variants, new double garage doors for larger vehicles, as well as many armor and weapon variants as rewards or in-game vendor items. You’ll also be able to apply swatches you own to base utilities allowing you to further customize the look of your base. Twitch Drops from Chapters 1 and 2 can now be purchased at the relevant vendor in Arrakeen and Harko Village, meaning you can get the entire Observer Building Set in-game. [/p][p][/p][h2]New DLC [/h2][p]Raiders of the Broken Lands offers a list of cosmetic items. One of the most common requests is more items to build with so this DLC includes building pieces and decorations, some weapon and armor variants and more.
