I, Dracula Genesis: Halloween Update (9)

Happy Halloween everybody! Hope you're having a scary time!
Halloween update is now available on the main branch - if you played today you might have already noticed some pumpkins.

There's also a number of changes to the main game

  • New enemies only available while Halloween event lasts
  • First two universes rebalanced and would also go as far as others go, once you unlock first two
  • Fixed some anomalies not affecting second wave of enemies
  • Experimental - Scrapping is 1.5 times faster
  • Game will automatically compact item list when they don't fit into a panel (on pause)
  • Some minor balance changes

I, Dracula Genesis: Update 8

Update 8 is now available! With this one, we focused on improving areas we thought need some extended love, mainly underground world.

Here are main changes:

  • Completely reworked Underground area (4th biome)
  • Reworked 2nd biome slightly (removed most small spikes)
  • Added glow effect to some enemies to make them stand out more
  • Reworked and rebalanced some weapons
  • Improved visuals on some weapons
  • Minor tweaks
  • rebalanced NPCs appearing on first biome and added 2 new ones that give free stuff
  • Max mana and Max HP are now always displayed on stats screen (pause)

I, Dracula Genesis: Bad Weather Update

We're finally ready for our first big content update! This one includes 3 new heroes, improved looks and tons and tons of minor improvements.
Here's a short list of the more important changes:


  • 3 new Characters
  • Brand new water shader with cool reflections
  • When you're irradiated, radiation on your bullets will trigger more rarely
  • Added weather effects that change gameplay slightly, introducing new enemies and powerups
  • Reworked some minibosses
  • You can use HP to unlock "manalocked" chests when you have no mana
  • Reworked many world 1 areas, added new island variants
  • Fury system - a way to gradually unlock more difficulty for those who feel the game is easy
  • Manalocked chests can now be opened with HP when you have no mana, also you can now also reroll them
  • New default Drakoh's gun (experimental)
  • Some tier 3 relics are now tier 1 relics with slight balancing

Update 6

Update 6 in now live, consisting of mostly maintenance and fixes:

  • Removed inconsistency between manual and automatic reload (the former used to give +1 ammo)
  • Ammo drops will now fade away after 7 seconds, just like small health potions
  • Universal ammo (sold from NPC minishop island) now restores 5 times more ammo
  • When "show damage" option is on, you will also see exact damage you yourself take
  • When game goes into background (usually when you press alt-tab), music will stop playing and game will be paused
  • First area's water color changed to blue
  • Added another item you can buy in hub area
  • Made more items unlocked by default

Update 5 Patchnotes

Here's a fresh new update for you:


  • Hub area visually improved
  • When hero is on 1-2 HP or he used "one-shot protection", red aim will appear.
  • Fixed some FPS spiking issues, should be more stable and beautiful now.
  • Added new video option - reduce amount of grass. This will increase FPS on lower end PCs.
  • Experimental gameplay options that would show damage numbers
  • Minor fixes, including the one that fixes another case of hero stucking in the air
  • New Extra option - disable all anomalies (room events)


Overall, we have been working on our first big update which will include 3 new playable characters, new areas, and also "Ascension" style progression.
