Hello, Fellow Arkers! Chrono Ark 2.0 beta version has been updated.

This beta version is not an official update, and it can be accessed using the Steam Beta feature.

New Character - Momori
Chrono Ark’s final 20th Investigator ‘Momori’ joins the fray!



Coming from the back alleys, Momori is a gorgeous girl with a twisted personality.
Momori can store and delay a portion of damage taken by allies.
She can also control enemies' Taunt status and inflict powerful damage at times.
However, poorly managing her stored damage can lead to her untimely death, so she requires some skill to pilot.

The Steam Workshop is open, and you can now access it in the Beta!

There are several Character, Item, and Gameplay mods that can be accessed from the workshop.
Shoutouts to 水中铃 who helped develop the Steam Workshop as well as various modders who participated.

In similar fashion to Azar’s ‘Ascending Slice’, special VFX have been added to several skills.

  • Abandoned Warehouse – Increased rarity of Scrap Metal, reduced number of Scrap Metal gained.
  • Alchemist’s House – Using a key now grants Relic Pouch.
  • Witch’s Safe – Health cost reduced.
  • Enchant Table – Enchant uses increased to 2->3.

  • Synergy Upgrade – Consume Burnnn! and increase damage -> Increase damage if Burnnn! is active.

  • Backstab – Name changed to ‘Shadow Raid’. Base critical chance increased.


[h3]Charon[/h3]
  • Shadow Pillar – Changed to be a Rare skill with a reworked effect. Now applies 2 Encroachment stacks, and deals additional damage equal to total remaining Pain damage instead of Pain damage per turn. Added Swiftness and Ignore Taunt.
  • Soul Strike – Changed to be a Class Skill.
  • Skills that damage allies – Damage is fixed instead of scaling based on Charon’s Attack Power.
  • Dark Barrier – Weakened effect, cost reduced to 2->1.
  • Evil Phantasm – Damage slightly increased.


[h3]Hein[/h3]
  • End of the Line – Enemy health condition changed to 40 -> 50%. Damage reduced to 150% -> 140%. This skill now gains Swiftness when the user is at Death’s Door, and this skill can now target lower health enemies regardless of Taunt status.
  • Synergy Upgrade – Cost reduced when Hein is at Death’s Door -> Cost reduced when ally is at Death’s Door.


[h3]Leryn[/h3]
  • Acceleration Formula – Healing Circle ratio increased to 25% -> 50%, Buff stacks increased to 3->4, now has 2 turn duration.


[h3]Azar[/h3]
  • Ascending Slice – No longer overflows hand due to Illusion Swords. (When Ascending Slice has Illusion Sword buff)


[h3]Pressel[/h3]
  • Purifying Barrier – Barrier can now be stacked.
  • Adjust Aim – Cost reduced to 1->0.


[h3]Helia[/h3]
  • Solar Wind – Damage slightly increased.


[h3]Sizz[/h3]
  • Added 1 new skill


[h3]Misc[/h3]
  • Monster Curse – ‘Unstoppable’ effect changed to ‘Every turn, gain a buff that resists the next debuff'.
  • Buffed Equipment – Black Crescent, Grim Reaper’s Handprint, Revenger
  • Nerfed Equipment – Shield Breaker
  • Demon Hunter – Effect now activates upon playing the 6th skill instead of the 4th skill.
  • Blood Mist – When drawing Blood Mist skill, there is now a low chance for ‘Awaken’ to appear. (Restore 1 mana and draw 1 skill)
  • Some improvements to UI.



[h3]Bugfixes[/h3]

  • Fixed an issue where the 6th skill’s cost was displayed abnormally when equipping Demon Hunter.
  • Fixed an issue where certain buffs would activate even after their duration ended.
  • Fixed an issue where Pain Badge would apply to enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where where Leryn could use her passive to create equipment even after clearing the previous playthrough.
  • Fixed an issue where ‘effects that activate when a debuff is removed’ were activated when the debuff was resisted.
  • Fixed an issue where ‘Lightning Draw’ would sometimes show abnormal behavior.
  • Fixed a bug where allies would sometimes not be revived when ending a battle in Crimson Wilderness.
  • Skill Upgrade : Fixed a bug where Armor reduction upgrade would sometimes not apply armor debuff.
  • Light Priest's Clothing : Fixed so that only damage skill can change target.
  • Narhan Passive : Fixed an issue where it would sometimes show the wrong target.
  • Joey Create Potion : Fixed an issue where Flash Powder would stun the same target.
  • Bombs Away! : Fixed a bug where the wrong number would sometimes be displayed.
  • Wilderness Outlaw : Fixed a bug where its buff would not be properly deleted when defeated.
  • Ilya Heavenly Thunder : Fixed a bug where additional hits would not have Tracking effect.
  • Lucy Draw Deep in Thought : Fixed an issue where skills that were not selected would also have their costs reduced.
  • Leryn Infinite Spiral Debuff : Changed so that the effect only activates when dealing 1 or more damage.
  • Fixed an issue where Extended Barrier description would not show properly.

[h3]Announcement[/h3]
Hello everyone, I am Hyung-Ju Lee, the lead developer of Chrono Ark.
This is the Steam announcement for the beta that was privately updated in May 26th for Korean users.
Since the 20th Investigator is finished, the roguelike gameplay aspect will not be hugely different from the official release.

The remaining updates will address stability, bugs, a bit of content, and most importantly story.
Also, due to the delayed update schedule, we have decided to split the next update for the official release into 2 parts.

The next update is reaching completion, and we are planning to release it in September or October.
Below is the content for the next update and our current progress.

[h3]Ending 1[/h3] (70% Complete)
There will be 2 endings for the game. Ending 1 is 70% implemented.

[h3]Story Improvements[/h3] (100% Complete)
In addition to new story segments, the main story has been improved and expanded.
About 6 scenes have been added to the existing story, and the text of most scenes have been changed.
These changes are mostly related to the main characters’ details and attitudes.

[h3]All Investigators Standing CG[/h3] (100% Complete)

Standing CG for all characters will be added.
These will be used for various interactions with the Investigators.

[h3]Investigator Friendship System[/h3] (System 100% Complete, Currently implemented 5 Investigators)

Build friendships by collecting gift items and giving them to Investigators.
Building friendships will allow you listen to the Investigators’ stories in the campfire and gain an advantage in game progression.

[h3]Improved UI and Controller Support[/h3] (100% complete)

The UI has been improved with full controller support.
