Hello there, I'm José Castanheira, aka 'Zarc'

I'm a solo dev developing Exophobia, a modern, clean take on the classic retro first-person shooter gameplay, combining a frightening sci-fi setting, a stylized aesthetic, fast-paced intense combat and metroidvania exploration.

Imagine if Wolfenstein 3D was never upgraded upon, but evolved with faster and more intense gameplay. Mix that with alien enemies, tough bosses, upgradeable character and a rhythmic synthwave OST! (by Pedro J. Costa)

In this demo, you'll be able to play a short level featuring the first elements of the game, from getting equipped with the weapon to fighting the first boss. I promise that it's filled with a lot of great moments, hope you enjoy it!

I'm happy to announce that Exophobia will be a part of the Steam Game Festival Summer Edition, happening from June 16th to June 22th. During these days, a short demo of the game will be available to the public, but after the event ends you can't play it anymore, so watch out! You'll probably won't have another opportunity for this before launch. This version will feature all the exciting essential parts of the game in a level made specially for the demo.

As part of the Festival, I'm preparing another events that will be announced in no time. Stay updated!
