Hi guys! Rat Racer supports now analog steer and throttle. And the camera focus more on you than the AI player.
If you like to enable these features you need to enable Beta on Steam: game/properties/betas.



Note that the game supports 2 gamepads so your third gamepad may not work until it will be visible in Windows as gamepad 1 or gamepad 2. Set it as Preferred Device in Windows USB Controller Settings

Hi guys, Rat Racer is now available as Early Access! This version contains racetrack #1 with working physics and from now I'd like to develop it with your feedback. Let me know what works for you and what's not.

[h3]What we have in version 0229:[/h3]

• "Old Station" racetrack with playable game modes "Player vs. Player" and "Player vs. Ai"
  
• Photo Tool - during Pause Menu your mouse works like camera focus - use it to compose your shot and press F12 to take a picture
  

[h3]Current limitations are:[/h3]

• controller support - while the game officially does not support controllers you can control most of the car functions using analog XBox pad - but only as a yellow player during race, not in the menu.
  

[h3]Protips:[/h3]

• multiplayer - you can play with 2 players on the same keyboard, would be good to have a mechanical keyboard with anti ghosting to prevent many keys from blocking. If your keyboard is limited you can plug in second keyboard, numpad or Xbox gamepad for player 1.
  
  
• graphics - the game is quite good optimized - it is possible to get about 300 FPS on modern GeForces and AMD's - during Pause menu press fps:max to test how many frames your system can achieve. But it's not neccessary to push your machine to it's limits so you can use built-in limiter, set it to 60 FPS to play with low temperatures.
  
  
• for old systems there is special Low Detail mode, on Intel HD4000 it's good to play in lower resolution but in High Details
  

[h3]Known bugs:[/h3]

• sometimes your car may be respawned two times, some of the environment are not fully physic yet, volume slider may not work correctly, car color selection may not work, bullet time may looks weird. If the game cannot start try to run it in windowed mode and then maximize.
