Version 1.0.5 Is Live
The next release of Ultimate Disc Golf (1.0.5) is now live. It includes several additions and enhancements such as an inventory system, and 9 total discs to choose from :).
For those just curious about the game and have not purchased through early access we invite you to try it free when it becomes available through our Itch.io page in about 24-32 hours.
1.0.5 Changelog:
1) Enhancement: Added inventory system!
2) Enhancement: Polished camera effects for celebration cinematic
3) Enhancement: Added contextual hints that can be turned on or off through the game settings and will work on any level (more hints still need to be added). This should greatly improve the experience for first-time players.
3) Enhancement: Added several new discs that now include stable and under-stable
4) Bugfix: Dusty canyon will now correctly use the "time of day" setting in single player mode.
5) Bugfix: changing resolution in game settings should be working properly now
6) Addition: Base putter model has been completed and is now being used for all putters in the game.
7) Enhancement: The thicker bushes now use a CameraDepthFade that will fade their leaves out when close to the camera making much easier to recover a disc and throw from within the bushes.
8) Testing first "fancy" inventory icons for discs
9) Bugfix: Holding the aim button before starting the next throw would result in the trajectory and power meter not triggering. Equipping a disc while holding the aim button first is now prevented by an internal check and a contextual message has been added.
10) Enhancement: It's now possible to enable or disable the mini-map through the game settings. This should give a decent performance boost on lower end hardware
11) Bugfix: Basket chains now have a more realistic "sway" and also won't become possessed. Hitting the chains with your character repeatedly can still cause a slight visual bug but not nearly as bad.
12) Performance: removed tesselation from landscape on Breezy Pines
