Blind Descent at Gamescom 2025
[p]Gamescom was an unforgettable milestone for Blind Descent! Presented at the META Publishing booth, the game drew the attention of players and journalists alike. Representing Pokuch, our CEO Emrehan had the chance to personally introduce the game, share its vision, and feel the excitement around our Martian survival experience.[/p][p][/p][p]Here are his thoughts and impressions from the event 👇[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]I had an incredible time at Gamescom, my first, and it delivered both personally and for the project.[/p][p]I was at the META Publishing booth representing Pokuch, introducing Blind Descent to journalists alongside Alexander Pankov and Ilya Grabelnikov. We fielded lots of excellent questions, and the energy was amazing. The feedback was especially strong on our survival mechanics and the game’s art direction. We also shared our longer-term vision, which sparked a lot of interest.[/p][p]After the B2B days, I met with Ilya and Alexander to review everything we heard, both from playtests and the show. We grasped a ton of notes that will help shape our next steps. I’m excited to wrap up the analysis and keep building a game everyone’s excited about.[/p][p]It was also a joy to connect with more people from our publisher, META Publishing, such a welcoming team, and with the wonderful folks at Emotion Spark Studio. On the last B2B day we had a small get-together; I might have had one drink too many and almost ordered an Uber from Köln to İstanbul. Huge thanks to my META Publishing friends for steering me back to the hotel 😅.[/p][p]Already missing the buzz of the show—and very excited for what’s next![/p]
