Potion Craft Patch 0.4.3 is live

Hello, Alchemists! We have just rolled out a small update to address a few quality of life changes as well as some high-priority bugs. Thank you to everyone who flagged issues to our team.
Patch notes:
• Added a confirmation when you press "New game" in Pause Menu.
 • Window mode settings (Borderless or Windowed). Window is resizable and can be moved to other displays if needed.
 • Changing display for Fullscreen (Borderless) is now possible (to move the game to another display set screen to Windowed mode, then move application to another screen and return Window Mode settings to Borderless).
 • Limit FPS Settings (30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 144, 240). We don't recommend making FPS less than your display supports.
 • Animated hint on the lever when the Alchemy Machine is filled.
 • Additional hint on Legendary Recipes for lever.
 • Changed loading screen (so it looks less frozen).
 • Language is now detected correctly on the first game launch.
Developer comments:

Start new game confirmation
Some players reported that they lost their progress by accidentally pressing the "New game" button while being in the Pause Menu. We added confirmation, so it doesn't happen by accident.
Screen settings
A lot of players asked us to add Windowed Mode and FPS limit settings, and so we did! Now you can play in a window of any size, save some precious unused Frames Per Second and even play in borderless fullscreen on other monitors!
Alchemy Machine
We noticed that some players had problems with turning on the Alchemy Machine. We've added small hints that will help players find the lever and tell them what to do with it.
Loading screen
Our current loading screen is not perfect, since it may seem "frozen" to some players. We wanted to implement a loading progress bar, but encountered some critical technical issues, so we couldn't make loading animation yet. Though we still wanted to make it more clear that the game is loading and not frozen, so we changed splash screen a little bit.
Once again thank you to everyone who got in touch!
Shopkeeping sim Potion Craft is the top-selling game on Steam

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator proved to be a hit during a previous Steam Game Festival with its free demo, and now that the game has launched into Early Access, it's keeping the momentum going. Potion Craft has garnered some impressive early player numbers, and it's currently outselling some massive games on Steam.

Potion Craft is currently the number one game on Steam's global top sellers list. As ever, this list is a bit nebulous, as it's a ranking of games by dollar sales spread across an indeterminate amount of time. Regardless, it's currently outselling everything else on the platform, just ahead of pre-orders for FIFA 22 and multiple editions of the MMORPG New World.

The game has reached a peak concurrent player count of 7,046 just one day after launch, as SteamDB shows. That puts it right on the edge of Steam's top 100 - and given the early momentum, it looks poised to keep pulling in new fans, too.

Potion Craft, the surprise hit of the Steam Festivals, launches this month

Steam's Game Festivals - or Steam Next Fest, as the series of events is now called - have proven to be an excellent way to sample a variety of upcoming PC games. One of the early standouts was Potion Craft: Alchemy Simulator, and after an extensive round of community playtests, it's finally due to launch later this month.

Potion Craft hits Steam Early Access on September 21. There's no word on price just yet, but this Early Access version will be cheaper than the final release. The devs plan to introduce new potion effects, recipes, and ingredients over time, as well as expansions to running your shop and maintaining your garden.

If you've not played the demo, you throw together your potion ingredients and track their effects on a map - grinding one ingredient will take you in a zigzag pattern to the right, where another might give you a long loop upward. It's a bit abstract in explanation, but it makes immediate sense in practice, and it gives you a fun way to discover new effects while dodging potion-ruining missteps.
