Improvements!
Hello Pioneer,
We are happy to announce that we have a new update for the demo!
Based on your feedback we added new features and made some improvements - bug fixes, performance, build size....
Expect a smoother frame-rate and a lot more settings you can tweak in the options menu.
Features:
- Map pin
- Look back when driving
- You can now bind dash to a standalone button
- Options updated with settings for shadows, LODs and tree distance
- Trees from unloaded chunks can now be rendered if using a higher render tree distance
- Bus damage is now visible on the model
- Enemies now attack the bus
- Destructible objects added like streetlights, streetlights and boxes, making driving much easier
- Special group of enemies and events where you can risk it for the biscuit
- Turrets!
- New events for the towers
- Changed pick up all items to a single button
- Significantly decreased initial loading time
- Many visual changes to help with readability
- Improved sound performance
- New sounds and ambiances
- Full controller support (We tested with Sony DualSense, Sony DualShock 4, Xbox One/Series, Nintendo Switch Pro)
- We tested the game on Steam Deck with Proton 9.0 compatibility and it's running with a fairly stable 30 fps
Fixes:
- Much better performance
- We compressed and removed some useless objects to drastically decrease build size (From 15.1 GB down to about 3.1 GB)
- Sound fixes to enemies and ambiance
- Many enemy fixes
- Improved loot spawning
- FX and visual tweaks for readability
- UI fixes
- Fuel now affects the bus
- Improved chunk spawning times and distance

Just like last time if you find any bugs feel free to report them on steam or our discord.
It took us this long because we have been actively working on the multiplayer. We wanted to add the multiplayer to the demo but decided it would be better to do a closed beta so we can work with players more closely to fix bugs or issues they have. We'll publish more info here and on our discord when we are starting with the closed beta so keep an eye out for that.
