Hello folks!

With the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, our Season 2 update is just around the corner, and will be meeting everyone soon! As the new season approaches, we are planning to introduce a new segment - the Devlogs, where we will share our thoughts for the future, discuss issues that everyone is concerned about, or just chat about other interesting things from time to time.

[h2]NO "FOMO"![/h2]
"NO FOMO PLZZZ!" might be the most common feedback we received from players after Season 1 launched. For a season mode designed around rotating gameplays, we fully understand that you might worry about missing seasonal gameplays or rewards. Therefore, we have included the development of a Season Store and Season Replay in our Season 2 agenda. Thanks to everyone's active feedback! These valuable comments help us make more reasonable decisions!

[h3]Season Store[/h3]


Now you can claim passed seasonal rewards in the Season Store once the next season begins! In the Season Store, folks can purchase seasonal rewards with Soul Essence if you missed them in previous seasons! Well, for obtaining the current Season rewards, you still need to complete tasks and elevate your Season level.
(The early bird catches the worm!)

[h3]Season Replay[/h3]


We are introducing a new feature called Season Replay. This feature is designed to help guys revisit past seasonal gameplays and gain a broader range of experiences.
To ensure the experience of the seasonal gameplay, you can only choose one past season, and the current season's content will be temporarily disabled. Considering the maintenance challenges of integrating new version content into past seasons mode, we currently do not support experiencing new version content in past seasons mode.

Additionally, to avoid the impact of the Season Replay on matching, the Season Replay mode will not support matchmaking features. However, folks who enjoy teaming up can still actively invite friends to join in this Season's Replay!

[h2]Season 2: Destiny Mechanism[/h2]
[h3]Mechanisms [/h3]


At the start of the game, you can choose and equip one of three unique Mechanisms (Familiar? These are happening in Gunfire Reborn all the time!). Unlike the "passive skills" of Season 1, the Mechanisms focus on "manually", requiring folks to activate them and unleash their effects. As such, skillfully placing Mechanisms, wisely recycling energy, and meticulously 
managing energy costs will be a key consideration!

[h3]Almighty Core [/h3]


Come to see the Almighty Core! These amazing gadgets are attachable components for the three Mechanisms. You can freely choose and combine these components to unleash the potential of Mechanisms or enhance the strength of builds!

[h3]Seasonal Encounter [/h3]

 
As Destiny Mechanisms are deployed, the battlefield is quietly changing. You may encounter Dimension Portal with mysterious summoning powers during combat. At the "Hyperborean Jokul", parts of the roads are getting icy, rush carefully!

[h3]Seasonal Missions[/h3]
We have also received feedback about the unsatisfied solo experience with missions in Season 1. Therefore, We've appropriately reduced the number of team quests in Season 2 and updated the design philosophy of some seasonal missions.

[h3]Rifle Adjustments[/h3]
Really? No buddies like rifles? Well......
Alright, let's specifically make some gameplay adjustments for rifles! Not only the general numerical tweaks, we've also made targeted adjustments to four weapons: [Lightning Blast], [Revealer], [Rainbow Arch], and [Dragonchaser]. These adjustments primarily aim to optimize the feel of firing. At the same time, we've also made minor enhancements to some of the weaker-performing rifles.

[h2]Season 2 Update Announcement! [/h2]
We are currently finalizing and optimizing the content for the Season 2 (Including New Occult Scrolls). Based on our current development progress, Season 2 will be launched in April 26th, barring any unexpected issues. Please stay tuned.

In this update, we have 2024 roadmap on start page right now!



Currently, we are working on Season 2&3, and new paid DLC content. Gonna bring everybody an excellent experience in the upcoming updates!


[h2]Next Update When?[/h2]
We will launch Season 2 after about 5-8 weeks and it will bring brand new seasonal gameplay and rewards!
Don't worry if you haven't claimed all the rewards from Season 1. We are going to introduce [Season Store] where it allows you to claim the past seasonal rewards by consuming Soul Essence in Season 2. At that time, there will be an entrance for everyone to revisit past season gameplay.

Update Notes 1/12: Season 1 - [Arcane Ascensions] begins!

What's up, Folks!
"Seasons" is released in this update, and its First Season - "Arcane Ascensions" is available as well. Additionally, we adjusted and added some Inscription effects, introduced the idle animation of Crown Prince, and weapon skin assembly system. Hope everyone enjoys these contents!

[h3]Season Rules[/h3]
Our initial plan is to rotate seasons every 3-4 months. Each new season will introduce fresh gameplay and rewards. We've also set up some minor challenges for season rewards. Players can unlock them by completing season tasks and levelling up season grades. After the season ends, old gameplay may be closed or partially retained, and progress in old season tasks will be reset (we are considering introducing a season shop in future, where players can use soul essence to unlock rewards from past seasons that they missed). Season task progress and rewards are binded only to the current game save.
If you have more ideas and suggestions regarding season rules, feel free to leave feedback. We will carefully evaluate each opinion and make timely adjustments in subsequent updates.

[h3]2024 Update Plan[/h3]
In the new year, there will be many ideas waiting for us to explore. Besides new heroes and weapons, new gameplay, maps and monsters are also in development. We expect to release the 2024 update roadmap in a few weeks and provide more detail. Please stay tuned.

[h2]The First Season Is Now Open! [/h2]
Each season features limited-time season gameplay and season tasks. Season gameplay may bid temporary farewell to players after the season ends. In addition, each season will have several season tasks. Completing these tasks earns soul essence rewards. Every 5 completed season tasks elevate your season level by 1, unlocking corresponding season rewards. Detailed information can be viewed by clicking on the season icon in the in-game main interface.



[h3]Season Gameplay — Arcane Ascensions[/h3]
Thunder roars, an unknown power scattered on the mortal realm, seemingly originating from occult scrolls. After extensive exploration, it was discovered that there were three scrolls that could absorb this power. Thus, the era of [Arcane Ascensions] starts from now on...

[Arcane Ascensions] is only available in Nightmare and Reincarnation difficulties. At the beginning of the battle, players can choose one of Thunder Step, Elemental Pulses, and Thorny Carapace as the Initial Arcana. After defeating the boss and in the Vault's multiple-choice chests, players can obtain Arcane Jades to enhance the unique abilities of Initial Arcanas, assisting in battles.



[h3]Season Rewards[/h3]
Completing this season's tasks and levelling up your season grades will unlock the avatar frame [Arcane Asecensions], the Crown Prince's idle animation [Magic Scroll], the weapon skin of Illusion [Phantom], as well as emotes, avatars, and other season rewards.

[h3]Inscription Adjustment[/h3]

    Old Effect: (Gemini) weapon 1&2 share magazine capacity. Gain 1 stack every second while firing, and 2 stacks on hitting enemies. Reloading -50% the number of stacks. The maximum number of stacks is equal to the shared magazine capacity. Each stack +0.75% weapon damage
    New Effect: (Gemini) weapon 1&2 share magazine capacity. Gain 10 stacks every second while firing, and 5 stacks on hitting enemies. Every stack lasts for 10s. The maximum number of stacks is equal to the shared magazine capacity. Each stack +0.75% weapon damage

[h3]New Inscription[/h3]

    (Gemini) The Explosion AoE of the current weapon scales proportionally with remaining ammo in the magazine (0.8m AoE minimum). Additional explosion count is equal to the other weapon's AoE, divided by the AoE of the current weapon, rounded down.

[h3]Weapon Adjustment[/h3]

    Weapon skill of [Fire Tower] was adjusted as explosive DMG, and could have bonus via ascension [Explosion Enhancement] of [Ao Bai]



[h2]Spiritual Blessing[/h2]
  • The armor break caused by [All or Nothing] will no longer be subject to the slowing penalty from [Gradual Desperation]



[h2]Bizarre Dream[/h2]
  • Adjusted the damage resistance capacity for monsters in [Endless Journey] and [Boundless Dream]



[h2]Interface UI[/h2]
  • Added indicators for occult scrolls already held by the player
  • Added the function to send emotes in solo mode
  • The weapon panel for explosive weapons now includes an "Explosion AoE"

  • Fixed an issue where imprinted weapons were lost in [Transcendent Arsenal] under certain circumstances
