Friday Progress Report 336

My brother finished redoing the water shader, The water now properly switches between under and overwater without the gap between the two.



There were also working on more optimizations and testing on the forage system, we want every plant in the game to be in the system so we need to make sure the game can load and unload a massive number of them.

This week we will start implementing the wild forageable clusters, this will add Violets, Dandelions, Cattails and the newest wild edible plant: Nasturtium



A cute plant with edible greens, buds, flowers and seed pods, it will be available mostly during mid summer.

Changes:
Reworked the water shader, including underwater and the transition, hopefully the last version with only minor color changes to follow
Reduced the amount of bamboo in about half
Changed the placeholder bamboo in the adjacent out of bounds maps to use the current system improving CPU performance significantly

Changed the seed quality icon position and improved it's visuals

Friday Progress Report 335

This week we have been mostly fixing game breaking bugs in the beta, we apologise for players who had to deal with that mess, the new beta release with the fixes should be up today, a new game will be required because the saves from the previous beta are broken.



While my brother fixed the code I have added a few new pieces of furniture made by Grispinne who sent the models to my brother.

The new furniture require hardwood and are a fancier version of current pieces, the Rustic Stove is the best of the new pieces, it has a built-in oven, as well as the pan and pot.

The fancy Shelf will act as an inventory when we implement containers.

Now that the most gamebreaking issues have been dealt with we will go back to work on wild crops and the new plants (Dandelion, Violet and Cattails).
