What's New in Version 2.1.1

This update includes various bug fixes:
  • Fixed undo issues with Many Minds Move as One "Pay 2 Energy to Gain a Power Card" growth ability.
  • The Many Minds Move as One growth option for gathering Beasts now applies its range properly in all cases.
  • The game no longer gets stuck in multiplayer in certain situations when Many Minds Move as One needs to decide if their sacred site counts as Beasts.
  • Prevented an incorrect warning from being shown when playing A Dreadful Tide of Scurrying Flesh.
  • Carapaced Land's range boost now works properly with Many Minds Move as One's special rule.
  • A Dreadful Tide of Scurrying Flesh no longer can target lands with a Many Minds Move as One sacred site and no other Beasts.
  • Fixed Beasts Prowl over-counting Many Minds Move as One presence as Beasts in some situations.
  • Ranging Hunt now properly prompts for choosing whether Many Minds Move as One sacred sites count as Beasts in all cases.
  • Fixed various issues with Command Beasts and Many Minds Move as One.
  • Panicked by Wild Beasts now properly skips builds when Many Minds Move as One has multiple sacred sites.
  • Fixed problem interactions with Heart of the Wildfire's special rule and Many Minds Move as One sacred sites (including with undo).
  • The Russia additional loss condition now properly counts Many Minds Move as One sacred sites as Beasts.
  • A Russian Explorer pushed during Ravage when Dahan deal damage first no longer deals damage in the land where it came from
  • The game no longer gets stuck in multiplayer if a power can generate enough Fear to flip a Russia 5 invader card.
  • Vigor of the Breaking Dawn's threshold no longer can destroy a Russian Explorer that had previously been saved from destruction in the same Action.
  • Shadows Flicker Like Flame's innate power no longer causes multiplayer to get stuck if it destroys Russian explorers.
  • Sound now works properly in the Linux version without having to temporarily change audio sources.
  • Powers that deal damage in multiple lands now interact correctly with Badlands.
  • The Voracious Consumption event no longer destroys too much Presence in some cases.
  • Fixed a problem where number labels on the 2D map could be inaccurate in some situations.


Version 2.1.2 hotfix:
This update fixes a crash with Vengeance of a Burning Plague during the Beasts Prey Upon the Injured part of the Hard-Working Settlers event card.

The second phase of Jagged Earth content is now available with a Beasts-centric Spirit and Adversary.

Plus, this update includes various improvements and bug fixes, including:
  • Explorers now carry the flag of their Adversary on the board.
  • Added several more sound effects associated with Beasts.
  • If you play a Power Card that you may not be able to resolve (e.g. requires a Sacred Site and you don't have one), a warning will be shown.
  • The end game screen now allows you to access more information on the details panel, along with all cards belonging to a Spirit (in hand, play, and discard) at the end of the game.
  • While playing a solo Spirit game, powers that target "another Spirit" will display they can target "any Spirit" (as they behave per the rules).
  • When moving Dahan multiple times during the same Action, Dahan that have already moved will show an indicator.
  • Sun-Bright Whirlwind and Heart of the Wildfire now work together properly in multiplayer.
  • Settle Into Hunting-Grounds no longer blocks repositioning Presence (and thus no longer causes a visual glitch with the Presence appearing to be in a land it was not in).
  • Fixed a problem where multiple Invader cards in the same slot could resolve in the incorrect order.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer causes a mis-counting of Coastal Cities for Smaller Ports Spring Up.
  • The threshold on Trees Radiate Celestial Brilliance now works properly with damage boosts such as Flame's Fury.
  • Reverting the island from 5 boards for Second Wave when playing with the thematic map no longer causes a freeze.
  • Fixed a problem where Weave Together the Fabric of Place could cause powers that gather a certain number of pieces to get stuck (e.g. Irresistible Call).
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer causes the game to get stuck when A Spread of Rampant Green could prevent a build or ravage.
  • Words of Warning now interacts properly with "does not participate in Ravage."
  • Fixed a problem where Birds Cry Warning would only save 1 Dahan from Widespread Clearcutting instead of 2.
  • Hard-Working Settlers no longer allows you to push the same Dahan twice on one board.
  • Draw Towards a Consuming Void can perform its effects again once if used as a set-aside power in Second Wave.
  • Fixed a problem where Second Wave would not properly perform the "after the game" sequence in certain cases.
  • Desiccating Winds now interacts properly with Settle Into Hunting-Grounds when used by Devouring Teeth Lurk Underfoot.
  • Fixed various issues with powers dealing too much damage when used by Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares in a land with Badlands.
  • Settle Into Hunting-Grounds now works properly with Gift of Searing Heat's damage option.

This update has a few bug fixes, including:
  • Fixed a crash with using Unrelenting Growth with Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds, then using Undo in certain situations.
  • Generating too much Fear after earning Terror Level "Victory" in a single action no longer causes the game to get stuck.
  • Fixed a problem where multiplayer games with Rising Heat of Stone and Sand could get stuck in growth in certain situations.
  • Unleash a Torrent of the Self's Own Essence now allows Ocean's Hungry Grasp to deal damage in an inland land.
  • Fixed a problem where Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds was not able to properly undo some of their growth in certain situations.
  • The game no longer gets stuck when you attempt to disable an elemental threshold that is required for later thresholds (e.g. Shadows Flicker Like Flame's first threshold).
  • Blazing Renewal now works properly with Badlands when used by Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares.
  • Quick Play no longer sometimes generates a game with the thematic map laid out incorrectly.

This update has various bug fixes and improvements, including:
  • Added a confirmation for adding Presence from Stone's Unyielding Defiance when a Minor Power would be gained (limiting your undo options).
  • Flipping the Blight card during Farmers Seek the Dahan for Aid, then using undo, no longer causes the damage to Dahan to happen again.
  • Isolate now works properly with Seek New Farmland, Local Diaspora, and Cultural Assimilation.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place now works properly with Let Them Break Themselves Against the Stone.
  • Habsburg Level 1 no longer incorrectly gather multiple towns into a joined land.
  • Habsburg Level 6 will now always ask you to choose the order of Ravaging.

  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer can allow Invaders to incorrectly build in a land joined with the Ocean.
  • Fixed a problem where Weave Together the Fabric of Place could incorrectly activate Keeper of the Forbidden Wilds' special rule in some situations.
  • Fortune Seekers no longer affects more than one Explore card if the Invaders explore twice in one turn.
  • Destroying Presence for New Cash Crops Take Hold now properly triggers Lingering Pestilence.
  • Sweep Into the Sea now behaves properly when an Isolated land is on the way to the Ocean.
  • If Unnatural Proliferation adds Dahan to a land during a Ravage, the new Dahan now fight back.
  • Habsburg Level 6 no longer increases damage in a land where there should be 0 damage due to Temporary Truce.

This update has a number of bug fixes and improvements, including:
  • Updated the wording of Draw Towards a Consuming Void to match the latest version.
  • Spirit Foresight may be used during Ravage to assign Damage.
  • Dahan Insurrection now shows the number of lands where Town/City outnumber Dahan, along with the number required to win. Also, improved the user experience around the end-game when you reveal the Victory card.
  • Fixed problems with using the main undo button after Stone's Unyielding Defiance's third growth group.
  • Draw Towards a Consuming Void no longer causes the game to get stuck if played by the threshold of Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power, or if Settle Into Hunting-Grounds was in effect.
  • Fixed a problem where joined lands could be considered adjacent to themselves in some cases (e.g. with Bloodwrack Plague).
  • Isolate now works properly with Resourceful Populace.
  • The game no longer gets stuck when Quit the Farmed Lands occurs with Settle Into Hunting-Grounds in effect.

  • Fixed a problem where Gradual Corruption would not let you pay Energy properly in some situations.
  • Search For New Lands will no longer push an Explorer into an Isolated land.
  • Fixed a visual glitch that could occur when moving Presence in the same land where it already was.
  • The "Unlock the Gates" achievement now requires 52 thresholds, since Growth Through Sacrifice has been removed from the card pool.
  • Improved how Settle Into Hunting-Grounds works with various Beast Events and Command Beasts.
  • If A Thousand Small Struggles causes the Blight card to flip, then you undo, it no longer causes the event to occur again.
  • Fixed a problem where Smaller Ports Spring Up could incorrectly add a town when there are multiple Coastal Cities on a board.
  • The damage from Discord no longer incorrectly triggers Let Them Break Themselves Against the Stone.
  • Flipping the Blight card during Gradual Corruption, then using undo, no longer causes the Event Blight to be added twice.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer allows Ocean's Hungry Grasp to move Presence to an Inland land when it expires.
  • Using undo after flipping Erosion of Will no longer generates too much Fear.
  • Using Skies Herald the Season of Return in multiplayer can no longer cause the game to get stuck.
  • Fixed a problem where the third growth option of Vengeance as a Burning Plague could lead to the game being stuck after undo in certain situations.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer allows you to target a land with the Leather Sack Invader Benefit.
  • Undoing no longer causes Manifest Incarnation to incorrectly Ravage twice in some situations.
  • Fixed a multiplayer issue where Dahan movement during growth would not trigger Dahan Insurrection damage properly for all players, leading to desynchronization.
  • After using Dream of the Untouched Land, starting Second Wave no longer shows an incorrect message.
  • When a Ravage would cause exactly enough Blight to flip the Blight Card, the order is now choosable by the player.
  • Fixed a multiplayer issue where using a set-aside Talons of Lightning in Second Wave could get the game stuck in an unnecessary vote.
  • Dahan Insurrection now properly counts joined lands as a single land for the victory condition.
  • Dream of the Untouched Land now properly allows you to move Presence to any land on the new board if you cannot add Presence from your tracks.
  • Lands joined by Weave Together the Fabric of Place now correctly skip Invader actions when they are supposed to.
  • Fixed a problem where Sweden Escalation could incorrectly apply to a Stage III card when multiple Invader Cards were Explored.
