What's New in Version 2.3.1

This update includes various bug fixes, including:
  • Fixed multiplayer issues with undo that could lead to desynchronization or being unable to undo as far as you should be able to.
  • Deactivating the elemental thresholds of Forsake Society To Chase After Dreams no longer fails to remove Invaders.
  • Badlands damage no longer incorrectly applies to Invaders that are not participating in Ravage.
  • Fixed towns incorrectly moving twice at the end of the Slow Phase in The Great River scenario in some cases.
  • The Great River scenario loss condition no longer triggers 1 Town too soon.
  • When Towns have multiple options where to go after the Slow Phase in The Great River scenario, they now always go to the northernmost land.
  • Fixed an issue where Beasts can be pushed farther from events when Many Minds Move As One is in the game.
  • Fixed a stall during Ravage that could occur after using Dream of the Untouched Land.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place and Elemental Aegis now work together properly and no longer give extra defense.
  • Keeper of the Forbidden Wild's special rule can no longer incorrectly apply to powers being resolved during the Rouse the Spirits event.
  • Melt Earth Into Quicksand now lets you destroy all Russian Explorers pushed into the target land.
  • The cleanup decisions from Weave Together the Fabric of Place during Time Passes no longer lead to sync issues in multiplayer.

Version 2.3 Now Available: Home of the Island's Heart

A siren song fills your ears, and you feel a distant beckoning. Can you resist the lure toward the Home of the Island's Heart? The fourth phase of Jagged Earth content is now available with a new Spirit and Scenario.



Lure of the Deep Wilderness: A few wanderers have spoken, in voices of wonder mingled with fear, of finding the Spirit that called them ever-further inland. But most never even saw it, only felt its distant beckoning.

The Great River: The island is vast, and the Invaders are firmly entrenched in its western lands. They now seek to push east across a mighty river and open up a new frontier. Can the Spirits hold them back?

Plus, this update includes various improvements and bug fixes, including:
  • Spirit Foresight now includes a toggle to show an overlay indicating the range of each land to its nearest Ocean (very helpful for The Great River scenario).
  • By popular request, the end game screen Details panel now shows the Spirits in the game.
  • Demoralized and Plan for Departure can no longer grant too much Defend in lands affected by Weave Together the Fabric of Place.
  • Fixed a problem where Gift of Twinned Days did not work properly in solo mode.
  • An extra copy of Command Beasts will no longer appear when playing Fractured Days Split the Sky without events.
  • Fixed Lure of the Unknown incorrectly using up Reach when used at range 0.
  • Choosing Spurn the Invaders on Farmers Seek the Dahan for Aid does now properly destroys multiple Dahan if they have reduced health from All Things Weaken.
  • Fixed Infestation of Venomous Spiders (thresholded) not getting the damage boost from Gift of Furious Might.
  • The "Add 1 Wilds" part of the Sprawl Contained by the Wilds event is now affected properly by Pour Time Sideways.
  • Fixed undoing Unrelenting Growth allowing an extra Presence placement with Stone's Unyielding Defiance.
  • Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares can no longer incorrectly "destroy" an Invader more than once with Utter A Curse of Dread and Bone.
  • Fixed an issue where in some cases, you could undo after revealing a new Event Card.
  • Fixed a problem where Coastal Towns Multiply did not work properly with Isolate in some situations.
  • The Ravage damage increases from Habsburg Level 6 and Courage of the Crowd now add up properly.
  • Fixed a problem interaction with multiple copies of Powerstorm when Power Progression is enabled.
  • When Heart of the Wildfire adds Blight with All Things Weaken in effect, you can now choose Wildfire's adjacent Presence so that no Presence is destroyed.
  • Fixed a prompt issue with Pour Time Sideways and Prey On The Unwary.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed choosing a different land for the second presence after undoing a Minor Power gain from Stone's Unyielding Defiance's presence track.
  • Gift of Constancy, when given by Aid From Lesser Spirits, can no longer reclaim itself.
  • Thundering Destruction at high thresholds no longer interacts incorrectly with Durable Towns, causing too much damage/destruction.
  • Fixed an issue with Russian Explorers ignoring Isolate in some cases.
  • Added missing audio cues for multiplayer game setup.

What's New in Version 2.2.2

This update includes various bug fixes:
  • Pour Time Sideways now works properly with England's High Immigration build and Habsburg Level 1.
  • Flee From Dangerous Lands now allows you to push an Invader from an Isolated land.
  • Exaltation of the Storm-Wind does now correctly doubles its effect if used on yourself in solo play.
  • When Visions of a Shifting Future reveals a card, you can now freely move the card around the screen so you can examine the game state.
  • Storm-Swath no longer has +1 Range without meeting the elemental threshold.
  • When Heart of the Wildfire adds Presence that destroys Shadows Flicker Like Flame (Madness) Presence, undo now restores the destroyed Presence properly.
  • Weave Together the Fabric of Place no longer causes England to build in an empty land with only 1 adjacent Town/City.
  • The Invaders Surge Inland event will no longer get stuck if you choose an Isolated land.
  • Sap the Strength of Multitudes can no longer get its range boost without having the required elements.
  • A Pall Upon The Land no longer fails to destroy Presence properly if you use Undo after making a series of the choices.
  • Using Exaltation of the Storm Wind before Gift of Wind-Sped Steps no longer prevents you from using two slow powers fast.
  • Seek Safety level 2 now allows you to gather into an Isolated land and is prompted properly.
  • Using Power Progression with one Spirit from the Core Game and another from Horizons of Spirit Island no longer leads to a Spirit getting multiple copies of the same card.
  • Fixed a problem where Lead the Furious Assault did not deal the correct amount of damage against Durable Towns in some situations.

What's New in Version 2.2.1

This update includes various bug fixes and improvements:
  • Absolute Stasis no longer incorrectly triggers the end of the game if used on a land with all of a Spirit's Presence.
  • Russia's Escalation effect can no longer add an Explorer to a land under Absolute Stasis.
  • The game no longer gets stuck resolving Cultural Assimilation when Pour Time Sideways is in effect.
  • Slip the Flow of Time no longer allows you to reclaim the power card granted by Aid from Lesser Spirits.
  • Toggling focus (+/-) while Fractured Days Split the Sky is gaining or spending Time no longer causes the Presence panel to disappear and not be available anymore.
  • Fixed a problem where after using Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power, the prompt for keeping a card in Days That Never Were could get stuck on screen.
  • Carapaced Land can now be used while Reach's special rule is available.
  • Sky Stretches to Shore no longer interferes with Reach's special rule effect.
  • Resilience's special rule now increases the amount of damage Habsburg needs to deal to the land to count for its additional loss condition.
  • When playing with an Aspect, if you lose the game and press Try Again, the next game now includes the Aspect.
  • In addition to remembering your choice of Aspect for a Spirit for the next game, it now also remembers when you chose no Aspect for the Spirit.
  • Fixed an issue in the New Game screen where rearranging a board with a Spirit that has an Aspect selected would cause the Aspect to be deselected.
  • Fixed a problem where the Story So Far could be blank after using undo in some situations.
  • You can now right click a resolving event section to view the full card.
  • Trees Radiate Celestial Brilliance no longer skips more than the first build in one turn (e.g. when using Blur the Arc of Years).
  • Improved support for touch screens.


[h2]Hotfix Update July 29 2024 (build 523)[/h2]
In the last update, players who had both mouse and touch screens encountered problems with mouse input. This hot fix reverts that behavior by default. If you wish to use a touch screen in this situation, enable the "Use Touchscreen Input" checkbox in the Options screen.

Version 2.2 Now Available: Visions of a Shifting Future!

The third phase of Jagged Earth arrives, with Visions of a Shifting Future revealing facets of existing Spirits' natures and a new Spirit that alters time as we know it.



Fractured Days Split the Sky: A Spirit that exists mostly in the high reaches of the heavens, but touches the island now and then, time and possibility flowing around it like a wind-blown mantle.

Aspects: New ways to play familiar Spirits, portraying some facet of that Spirit’s nature more strongly or in a different fashion. Jagged Earth includes six Aspects for the four low-complexity Spirits from the base game.

No additional purchase is required; you will gain access to the new content with your existing purchase of Jagged Earth.

[h2]New Feature: The story so far...[/h2]
With this update also comes a view of the past. The new Story So Far panel shows a game log of exactly what has happened throughout the course of the game, turn by turn. During the game, you can use it to undo back entire phases at once; after the game, you can share the complete story in text form.



Story So Far is fully usable, but we're labelling it "Beta" for now while we continue to improve it. If you see a notable problem with it, please let us know by using the Help & Feedback button in-game to send us a message about it.

Plus, this update includes various improvements and bug fixes, including:
  • Destroying X Durable Towns now lets you deal 2*X damage to any Durable Towns of your choice (e.g. with Lead the Furious Assault).
  • Fixed a problem where Transform to a Murderous Darkness would not allow you to use it on certain Spirits in some situations.
  • Dream of the Untouched Land can now remove both Blight and a Habsburg 4 Town at the same time.
  • Using Undo after Numinous Crisis flips the blight card no longer results in gaining not enough energy and removing too much blight in some cases.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when Beasts Prey Upon the Injured resolves if Settle Into Hunting-Grounds is in effect.
  • The game no longer gets stuck if you destroy the last board in Dahan Insurrection.
  • Fixed a problem where the game could get out of sync in multiplayer with Russia 5+ if a power's effect caused enough additional Fear (via destroying Town/City, pushing Explorers, etc) to reach an unused Invader card.
  • If the Healthy Island effect of Harvest Bounty, Harvest Dust flips the Blight Card and then you undo, the Blighted Island effect of the event no longer incorrectly occurs.
  • The game no longer gets stuck in multiplayer if one player uses Settle Into Hunting-Grounds while another player is in the middle of using a power that could be affected by Beasts/Badlands.
  • Dahan Reclaim Fishing Grounds now assumes no adjacencies for Isolate by default.
  • Pact of the Joined Hunt no longer deals an incorrect amount of damage when used by Devouring Teeth Lurk Underfoot in certain situations.
  • Fixed Creepers Tear Into Mortar incorrectly damaging multiple buildings in a land with Badlands.
  • Sunset's Fire Flows Across the Land no longer automatically uses a damage boost up on the first land if there is only 1 Invader there.
  • Dahan Reclaim Fishing Grounds now works properly with Weave Together the Fabric of Place.
  • Fixed the interaction between Discord Level 3 and Badlands.
  • Flee the Pestilent Land no longer pushes France 6 Explorers that were not actually going to be removed.
  • Isolate now works properly with Sweden Level 5.
  • Fixed problems with using the main Undo button after Heart of the Wildfire flips the Blight Card in growth.
  • Ensured that Plaguebearers can move Disease to multiple lands when that is possible.
  • The game no longer gets stuck in multiplayer when using Gift of Proliferation on Stone's Unyielding Defiance to place a presence that gives +1 Card Plays.
  • Instruments of Their Own Ruin no longer deals an incorrect amount of damage in adjacent lands with Habsburg 6.
  • Fixed the Energy gain prevention from Bargains of Power and Protection incorrectly applying to undoing a card play.
  • If both Engage on their Own Terms and Words of Warning are in effect in a land, you can now choose the timing of the Dahan counterattack.
  • Fixed the interaction between Let Them Break Themselves Against the Stone, Isolate, and Russia 2+.
  • If all Invaders in a land have Strife, the Spirit Foresight ravage preview is now correct when Destroy the Unnatural is in effect.
  • Talons of Lightning now gets its threshold range boost when played via Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power.
