Weekly Progress Report #64 for Future Fragments

  • Frouge is covering multiple odds and ends, and then he’ll be getting back to True Final Boss issues.
  • Mainly, he’s been injecting new batches of voicework and sound effects, plus fixing bugs in cutscenes.[/h3]


[h2]STORY[/h2]

    [h3]
  • Just still plugging in cutscenes left and right, as well as editing/ripping voicework and writing.
  • Been setting up stuff on my end for cutscenes regarding the True Final Boss, and the endings too.[/h3]


[h2]AUDIO[/h2]

    [h3]
  • Lewd K. is back to mastering audio, voice filters, sound effects, and so on.[/h3]


Like I said before, I wish I had more to report but it’s literally almost entirely “inputting assets / bugfixes”
at this point, and it’ll likely be MOSTLY that way until the game launches, to be clear. But as we get any
remaining new systems in like the “global cutscenes” thing, we’ll be sure to post those in the updates.

  • Frouge has added visual expressions to a number of characters (better cutscene dynamics, etc.)
  • He’s also just continued fixing bugs and adding in sound effects, things like that around the board.
  • Also edited cutscene settings a bit in regards to displaying Ideal amounts gained/lost.
  • Finally, he’s finished a system that’ll allow for “global” cutscenes. (Mainly using this for true/secret endings.)[/h3]

  • Changed a few maps to allow for better cutscene placement.[/h3]

  • Frouge is still mostly focusing on implementing voicework/other audio, and correcting major bugs.[/h3]

  • Just still plugging in cutscenes left and right, as well as editing/ripping voicework and writing.

  • Lewd K. sent over another huge batch of voicework, and he’s still mastering more of it as we speak.[/h3]


Wanted to note that with how we’re REALLY getting down to the final stuff in the game, I know these progress reports can come off
as being pretty bare. I’d really love to show you some visuals, but the only stuff left to show visually that we HAVEN’T already is;

  • The True/Bad/Secret endings
  • The True Final Boss Fight
  • The full set of Gold Databanks art
  • The “Stealth” area
  • The area after the “Stealth” area
  • The set of NPC H-scenes and the POV “10 Achievements” H-scenes

So I do hope you can all bear with us and the game until we release sometime in the next month or so, cause we don’t want to spoil this stuff.

Thanks for sticking it out with us for so long; we really are confident that the final game (and the wait) will have been worth it.

  • Frouge has moved off the boss transitions, and is focusing solely on sound effects and other things.[/h3]


[h2]STORY[/h2]

    [h3]
  • Remaining: 53 Cutscenes. Things completed this week;
  • Still no new cutscenes this week, as the remaining ones are “non-core-story NPCS”...
  • Also spent a lot of time implementing the actual cutscenes into the game, ripping more audio, etc.
  • ...and I’d rather make sure the “core story” cutscenes are all implemented in-game before writing more.
  • So in terms of acutally plugging in cutscenes, that’s been going pretty well, no issues there.[/h3]

  • Lewd K. is still getting voicework to us, as we’re giving him more every time he sends us new stuff.
  • He’s also done a few extra sound effects that are for specific cutscenes for more immersion.[/h3]

  • Remaining: 53 Cutscenes. Things completed this week;
  • Obviously, no new cutscenes, but that’s because we had a lot of “under-the-hood” prep for the game.
  • Also spent a lot of time implementing the actual cutscenes into the game, ripping more audio, etc.
  • So progress is still being made, it’s just audio + implementing scenes in-game instead of writing.
  • Also spent a good amount of time setting up some stuff for Steam implementation on our end.[/h3]

  • Wishful Simping is finished with the credits theme AND mastering the entire game’s music.
  • Lewd K. has been churning out audio mastering like crazy of course.[/h3]
