Mirage 0.4 September Progress Report + Video

Hi dear Steam users,

This September I was working on DAZ Importer. I recorded a video of the working DAZ Importer where I demonstrate a process of importing Genesis 3 female character. Importing steps are the same for clothes and for hair. I still need some time to improve it: make it easier to use (ideally user should click only one button) and fix remaining problems mainly related to hair importing.

Mirage 0.4 August Progress Report

Hi dear Steam users,

I tried very hard to finish and release Mirage 04-beta-1 in August, I even found myself working on PC until 4AM in the morning quite often, but due to the unstable Importer's work I decided to take additional two weeks to polish everything. Areas of the Importer that will be improved during these two weeks include:

* Unstable work in Asset Import Pipeline which results in this bug: some assets are not created

* Background tasks freeze sometimes

* Upon importing of new character resources/settings of the existing models are overwritten with bad data because of complex dependency tree structure


In the next seven days I'll try to fix the biggest problems and share a video with working Importer, then, I'll do my best to release 04-beta-1 in the first half of the month and in a worst scenario I plan to release the beta until the end of this month unless some critical bugs appear.

Mirage 0.4 July Progress Report

Hi dear Steam users,


I will try to release Mirage 04-beta-1 this month (August). To meet this deadline possibly I will have to release a Desktop version only and VR version will be released in 04-beta-2.


Below is a list of tasks I worked on in July:
  1. New UI system for Desktop and VR interactions
  2. Added support for G3 male models
  3. Implemented code logic for undocumented parameters in Daz JSON files
  4. Fixed most of the issues in Mesh simplificator
  5. Worked on models partitioning for LODs (level of details)
  6. Worked on LOD renderer
  7. Made progress on my C++ physics library (cloth simulation module)

Mirage 0.4 June Progress Report

Hi dear Steam users,

Below is a report from work I have done during June. I know that you want to play Mirage 04 as soon as possible and I am doing anything I can to make it a reality but due to complex nature of this update I still need some more time before I release first beta of Mirage 0.4


Genesis 3/8 Importer:

1) Fixed issue with duplicates in content packages.
2) Implemented solution for missing Daz references
3) Keep testing Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 features on real models and fixing issues.
4) Adding support for male G3 and G8 models.
5) Implemented mesh simplification.
6) Implemented LOD generator.
7) Working on characters partitioning for LODs.

In-game:

1) Implemented custom space partitioning solution to speed up rendering and interaction with characters.
2) Added draft version of my C++ physics engine, functional and performance testing were performed.
3) Experimented with DLSS. Performance looks promising, but performance modes have some visual issues.
4) Working on LOD renderer.
