Version 17.1.0 Release Notes

This update is slated for release next week!

New Content
Pirate Content Pass
Are you ready, kids? I can’t hear you!

From the briny depths comes a new content pass, full of new content! For the grand prize, look forward to the barnacled Kraken Shank dagger, as well as plenty more seafaring items!

Accomplished buccaneers can also look forward to the Pirate King/Queen title, only available to those who finish every task!

This Content Pass will run for four weeks, starting on July 9th and ending on August 6th.
Polonia’s Jolly Roger
The Content Pass contains a special decoration! This pirate flag has the special ability to track Polonia’s thieving prowess and remembers how many items she’s stolen during her lifetime. Simply inspect the decoration to learn her current score.

Tracking will also happen even while the decoration is stored away. Keep in mind however that thefts prior to this update were not tracked.
Seed of Merit Fusion
It’s finally available! You can fuse your own Seeds of Merit with the following recipe:

 • 10x Seeds of Vitality
 • 10x Seeds of Power
 • 10x Seeds of Resistance
 • 3x Mega XP Drinks
 • 15x Supreme Moonstones
Blitz Pass
This new feature is exclusive to new players. We’ve actually stealthily tested it a few months back and we were happy with the results!

The Blitz Pass is a new method for fresh players to hire Champions. Upon first meeting a Champion, they’ll trigger that Champion’s Blitz Pass, which functions like a very short and rather easy Content Pass. By completing a few “tutorial” tasks, the player will earn enough Champion Coins to hire that Champion and hopefully learn a thing or two.

As of this update, the Lilu Blitz Pass is available. Sia and Yami are expected to be included soon, and other Champions may also receive Blitz Passes in the future.
New Major Artifacts
Two new Major Artifacts have been added to the Major Artifact chest. Their components are also now available.
Wyrmbane Cannon
This powerful gun is a perfect fit for Dragon Invasion! Not only is it worth 20% more points when donated, it also increases its wielder’s Dragon Invasion score by 20% when assigned to the airship.

Thankfully, it does not require Wyrmbane Cannonballs to fire.
Rock Stompers
These heavy, heavy boots are best worn by lumbering fighters. They grant a +250 Defense bonus, as well as a +25% skill bonus to Defense. Due to their weight however, the user’s evasion is set to 0% and cannot be changed.

Minor Changes
 • Champion equipment restrictions now use the same rules as Heroes do, with each item tier using the same level requirement as Heroes do. Previously, there were no restrictions at all.
 • Added a market and inventory filter for Artifact Components.

King Schedule

King Reinhold will be available as a Guest Champion on July 22nd, leaving on the 25th.

Bug Fixes
 • The Pride Heart decoration is no longer mysteriously limited to 5 per shop.
 • Fixed Ashley and Bjorn doubling the effect of Boosters during Flash Quests and Bosses, respectively.
 • Fixed Mercenaries not properly increasing the benefits of a Rest Time reduction.
 • Added audio for Tier 14 Spirits.
 • Properly fixed success rate for enchantments with mismatched qualities.
 • Fixed a Shop Edit bug that could allow players to store their last Trunk.
 • Fixed the Dragon’s Hoard not properly displaying its bonuses upon upgrade.
 • Turned the Bug Catcher’s Net built-in element into Earth affinity. Existing items should keep their Wild elements.
 • Fixed Kaleidoscopic items (affinity items that change color when enchanted, that’s what we’re calling them now) displaying as a white box when enchanted with T14 elements.
 • Fixed a bug with the Enchantment Establishment talent, causing it to increase the value higher than indicated.
 • Fixed an issue where the second enchantment on an item could provide more value than the item’s base value.
 • Fixed an issue preventing gem prices from displaying when purchasing copies of furniture obtained from offers.
 • Fixed a rare issue where an Aurasong could temporarily not be equipped on a Champion.
 • Fixed an issue where Artifact Components could appear as Bounty Board tasks.
 • Attempted fix for an issue where the shine effect could remain stuck on a reward after claiming it in event reward tracks.
 • Updated the gem cost of some Counter upgrades past level 20 as they were lower than intended.
 • Added market filters for Tier 14 spirits and the Goose Spirit.
 • Fixed the Titan Spirit restrictions displaying on unrelated skills. This was a purely visual issue.

Bug Unfixes
 • Reintroduced the Spellknight skill multiplier bug as there was no elegant way of restoring its lost stats.

Version 17.0.1 Release Notes

Balance Changes
 • Decreased the Sondra level requirement on Supreme Stones to 37, but also increased the Fusion time as it was quite short.

Bug Fixes
 • Fixed the sudden reduction in Hero stats and power. During this intense de-spaghettification process, a number of other minor bugs were found and fixed, which may affect stats and power. More on that below.
 • Fixed the Master Smith title transforming into the Pirate King/Queen title. That one is a secret tool that will help us later.
 • Fixed an artifact bug where Monks could get blinged up with multiple Torcs of Peace. Keep it austere, monks.
 • Fixed Elemental and Spirit affinities reducing an enchantment’s value to 10% instead of increasing it by 10%.
 • Fixed the Best of the Best talent not generating Spirits on items
 • Fixed level 20+ Counters not properly showing the Energy % upgrade. It was a purely visual issue.
 • Fixed Champions not being able to equip some Familiars and Aurasongs.
 • Tier 10+ enchantments no longer use the Tier 4 success rates when using mismatched qualities. They are lower now.
 • Fixed some effects increasing the value of “secondary stats” (crit, evasion) on items.
 • Fixed the market UI breaking down when accessed through enchanting.
 • Fixed Artifact Components not being requestable on the market.
 • Fixed an exploit where Break Chance Reduction effects could render all items indestructible.
 • Fixed fresh Food items not appearing on the market.
 • Fixed customers and Champions occasionally asking for the unenchanted version of an item that has a built-in enchanted (e.g. Mundra items).
 • Fixed a rare bug involving the counter and shop backyards.
 • Fixed the 6th offer in the selection of Anniversary offers and retroactively granted the keys to players who had purchased it.

Hero Bug Fixes
 • Ninja and Sensei’s Power rating would assume that the Critical Hit Chance bonus was always active, and that the Evasion bonus was much greater than it actually was. This results in a lower Power rating, but actual stats do not change.
 • Berserker Power did not properly take into account its innate skill’s evasion. This results in a slight increase to Power rating, but actual stats do not change
 • Pathfinder’s Power rating did not take into account evasion scores above 75. This can result in a slight power increase, but actual stats do not change.
 • Spellknight’s innate skill bonuses (50% + 30%) now stack additively instead of multiplicatively, resulting in slightly reduced stats.
 • Ashley’s power has increased slightly, as it did not take into account her Samurai guaranteed critical.

Five Years of Shop Titans Update

This update is slated for release next week!

Has it already been five years already? Time sure flies! For such a momentous occasion, we’ve cooked up a big update!

New Content
Artifact Blueprints
Artifact blueprints are a new and special type of blueprint! They have a couple of unique rules.

 • They are only found in the Greater Artifact (T14) and Minor Artifact (T8-9) chests.
 • Each artifact has its own unique component that is required to craft it.
 • Artifacts are, at a base, stronger and more valuable than blueprints of the same tier.
 • Each artifact has a special, unique effect that is not found anywhere else.
 • A Hero cannot equip more than one artifact at the same time.

They’re more difficult to craft and acquire compared to your average blueprint, but also more rewarding. Here’s a sneak peek at the six Artifact blueprints currently available in the game.
Kiku-Ichimonji (Greater Artifact)
This Katana is unnaturally sharp, but unwieldy! It provides a powerful +200% bonus to Critical Damage, but sets your critical hit rate to 20%. If your actual critical chance was lower, great! If it was higher, it would be lowered to 20%.

The Samurai’s guaranteed critical hit on the first round completely ignores Critical Hit Chance, so they are not as hindered by this effect.
Torc of Peace (Greater Artifact)
This powerful amulet magically seals the power of any wielded weapon, rendering them completely useless. In exchange, it grants a sizable +10% evasion and a 20% skill HP bonus.

There’s a loophole though; fists and shields aren’t considered weapons!
Armor of Invincibility (Greater Artifact)
This suit of heavy armor completely shrugs off any amount of damage it takes, no matter how powerful. As a result, it will never break!

The lucky wearer, however, is not actually invincible.
Lone Wolf Cowl (Minor Artifact)
For loners who are too cool for teamwork, there is the Lone Wolf Cowl. The wearer completely ignores bonuses granted by Champions in exchange for a powerful 40% skill bonus to ATK and DEF. Perfect if your Champions are taking a nap, or if they’re simply not that strong in the first place.

It is worth noting that effects that do not directly apply to Heroes, such as Sia’s looting or Yami’s quest speed, will function as usual.
Grimar’s Collection (Minor Artifact)
This spellbook provides no outstanding combat bonuses, but it’s worth a LOT of Collection Score! Grimar’s collection book contains ancient items that simply don’t exist in this day and age.
Pickaxe of Greed (Minor Artifact)
Dig too deep and too greedily with this needlessly gaudy pickaxe! It is particularly adept at defeating guardians of golden treasures. Any Hero wielding it will deal double damage to Golems!
Upcoming Artifacts
Two extra Greater Artifacts will also be released in the coming days. Stay tuned!
Artifact Chests
Artifact chests are a bit special. Since they aren’t associated with a particular quest, they don’t drop from anywhere. Whenever you find your first Artifact chest key, the associated chest will become available at an infinite quantity.

Artifact Keys may be rewarded through events occasionally. Other than that, a Minor Artifact Key is automatically awarded upon reaching level 45, and a Greater Artifact Key upon reaching level 65.
Artifact Components
Artifact components behave the same as regular components in most ways. Where they differ is their acquisition; they are quite rare! They can be found as a rare random drop in regular quests. In addition, as they are components, the quantity can be modified by loot boosters such as Sia and Loot Bugles, though there’s no guarantee they will drop in the first place.

 • Minor artifact components can be found at the Chronos Ruins, Haunted Castle and Sunken Temple quests.
 • Greater artifact components can be found at the Elysium quest.

Artifact components can also be found in their respective chests.
New Furniture Levels
Furniture can now be upgraded to level 25! More energy and resource capacity for those with the Dragonmarks to spare! Always dry on Dragonmarks? We’ve got that covered further down below.
Tier 14 Enchantments
Six new Elements and six new Spirits are now available! You’ll need the new Supreme Runestone to craft them, though! But good news, it’s also available!

Since we’re on the topic of stones, Supreme Moonstones are available, too.
Merchant Level Loops
There’s not too many players at level 99 yet, but with Advanced Research’s XP bonuses, that might change! Level 100 is now available, following usual rules. But it’s also possible to go beyond!

The next level after 100 is… 1! Breaking through level 100 will bring you back to level 1 and grant a new look to your level banner to let everyone know you’re not an average schmuck. Life’s a breeze down in the low digits though, and the XP requirements return back to their early-game values. Once you manage to make it back to 100 again, there’s another loop! In fact, the new level cap is 500!

Each time you loop, you’ll be met with a renewed XP curve, but with an added +25% XP requirement. Although there isn’t anything new to unlock, you’ll still receive those 5 gems per level. As an added bonus, each Loop will add either 10 bonus Ascension Shards or 5 extra gems to your level up rewards.
Shop Expansion Fine Tuning
Shop designers, are you tired of that standard 3x3 shop? Too little front yard space to fit all those firework cannons? This one's for you.

With this update, it is now possible to transform any shop segment into yard space! Furniture Space granted by the expansion will be retained, but the actual area will become outdoor grass, allowing the placement of outdoor decorations.

Creative use of this feature can allow for things like a donut-shaped shop, a teeny-tiny shop with a massive backyard, or even a weird disconnected shed in the back. The only limitation is that the entrance portion of the shop cannot be transformed. The rest is fair game!*

With this expanded customization potential, the need to save shop layouts and designs becomes more pronounced. The team is currently looking into this functionality, although no promise as to when.

*The Counter also needs to be accessible from the entrance, so you won’t be able to place it in the shed.
Seed of Merit
This valuable seed can be used on a Hero or Champion to increase their max level by one, to a maximum of +10 per character. You still need to earn that level with XP though!

With these seeds, it is possible to go beyond the current level cap of 40, or whichever limit is set by your current Training Hall level.

These seeds are currently exclusive to the Shop Titans 5th Year Anniversary Sale (June 14th), but a fusion recipe will be revealed in a future update.
5th Anniversary Login Calendar
Log in every day from June 12th to June 18th to claim Gems, Ascension Shards and Research Scrolls!

Major Changes
Ascension Milestones
New milestone rewards are now available for Stones, Spirits and Elements.
Dragon Invasion Rewards
“More furniture levels? But I’m nowhere close to level 20 in the first place!” Right you are, shopkeeper. In addition to this level cap increase, we are also massively increasing the amount of Dragonmarks awarded by the Dragon Invasion event. Doubled, in fact. You don’t even need to work harder for it, the quantities are simply doubled for this event (and future ones). What’s the catch? There’s none*.

*There really isn’t.
Advanced Research
Elements, Spirits, Runestones and Moonstones are now available for Advanced Research. As these item types cannot be surcharged, the Surcharge Energy Cost upgrade is not available.

Minor Changes
 • The Golden Artifact component has been renamed to Golden Chunk to distance it from Artifact blueprints. The Abyssal Artifact blueprint gets to stay.
 • The Starter Pack now looks a lot cooler!

Balance Changes
 • The odds to drop a Chest Exclusive (e.g. mostly blueprints) has been increased to 1% (from 0.5%) for Lost City of Gold chests.
 • The gold cost to purchase Talent points has been reduced across the board.
 • Supreme Moonstones and Runestones can now be found in various quests.
 • The Elemental Barrier requirements of the Elysium quest have been increased.
 • Tier 14 fusions now require Supreme Moonstones instead of Perfect Moonstones, though in lesser quantities.
 • Elemental Blueprints from the Elysium chest are now enchanted with Tier 14 enchantments. This also increases their values slightly.
 • Since Merchant Level 100 is now available, it also unlocks a Talent point. It’s the last one, though!
 • Reduced the Ascension Milestone requirements for Meals, Desserts, Instruments, Aurasongs.
 • Velites can now use Amulets.
 • The cooldown when claiming promo codes has been removed.

Affinity Changes

The following Blueprints have received a new spirit affinity: Titan Sword, Zeus Thunderblade, Olympus, Titan Crossbow, Titan Potion, Titan Plate Armor, Titan Helm, Titan Boots, Titan Shield, Crag Guardian, Serial Quiller, Birdbane Halberd, Bleakspire Charm, Tianglong Lance, Draconic Eyestalk, Dragonfang Fists, Dragon Sacred Gem, Dragon Emperor’s Cloak, Jötunnbane, Neptune’s Authority, Caduceus.

The following Blueprints have had their spirit affinity replaced with a new one; Raptor Wings, Raptor Talons, Mark of Ouroboros, Leviathan (you’ll never guess which spirit).

Ironclad Update

This update is slated for release next week!

New Content
Ironclad Content Pass
Clang! Clang! Wallace has hammered up a Content Pass for you! Fire your forge and get ready to craft!

As stated in previous patch notes, this Content Pass also focuses on antique content, but we did manage to forge up a new blueprint, the Ironclad Grappler crossbow, as a grand prize! Adept blacksmiths who complete every task in the content pass will earn themselves the exclusive Master Smith title!

The next Content Pass will feature more new and exclusive content. That’s a pirate promise.
Mundra Blueprint
The Tier 14 Mundra Blueprint, Mundra’s Skull, is now available to all Moon Dragon owners. Sorry for the wait!
Ascension Milestones
We’ve extended the Ascension Milestone rewards, and some obsolete upgrades have been altered. Read more on that below!

As per usual, Milestone requirements may be higher than currently available blueprints. Consider it a promise that we’ll keep adding content!

 • Added a new upgrade; “-1 to Essence Resource Cost” (for this item type).

 • The “Chance to Refund True Sigils” upgrade has been replaced with reduced Energy cost to Rush.
 • The “Surcharge Energy Cost reduction for Tier 12 items” now applies to all tiers of that item type.
 • The “Surcharge Energy Cost reduction for Tier 11 items” has been replaced with -10 to Common Resource Costs for Tier 10+ items” (of that item type).

Balance Changes
 • Tier 4 enchantments now require a small amount of Uncommon resources. Their value has increased slightly as a result.
 • Tier 4 enchantments now also require level 7 workers to craft (up from level 1). Players will have to craft a few Spells and Amulets first!

King Schedule

The King, clad in gold, will be available as a Guest Champion on May 27th until the 30th.

Bug Fixes
 • Fixed a rare issue preventing the Talent Tree from being properly reset.

 • Reverted some unintentional changes to enchantment stat values.

Dreams of Elysium Update

New Content
Tier 14 is Here!
A whopping 38 blueprints are now available, and they’re super valuable! Can these numbers even fit on the screen!? You might need a bigger phone!

If you haven’t fused all your Research Scrolls, look forward to the cursed sword Durandal, the Tincture of Finality potion or the Hell’s Gate shield! Need some help crafting this prestigious new tier? Read below!

Tier 14 can be equipped by level 38 Heroes, and can be traded on the market by players at level 66.
Advanced Research!
These Tier 14 crafting times sure are impressive! Thankfully, the city’s Workers have found a solution; Advanced Research! Upon reaching level 36, each Worker will reveal a set of possible upgrades for their preferred item types.

The upgrades are the same across all item types (with few exceptions), and allow you to improve Craft Speed, Surcharge Energy Cost and Merchant XP of their blueprint types. The XP bonus applies to all item types and also stacks, so you can really supercharge your Merchant levels.

At first glance, it may look similar to the Talent Tree, but have no fear! Your precious Talent points are not needed here. Given enough time and investment, all Advanced Research can be unlocked. Each upgrade simply requires both Gold and Research Scrolls, although Gems can also be used.
New Quest!
Among the clouds lies Elysium, the domain of the gods! A place untouched by foolish mortals… until today! There’s bound to be valuables around!

Upon these heavenly grounds roams the Avatar (no, not that one), imbued with a spark of divinity and a mandate to punish all interlopers. But where have all the gods gone?

Elysium is available for 10G gold for players at level 64 or above.

Major Changes
City Worker Visitors
Visitors from the city that come to sell items will now be limited to the highest blueprint tier you’ve crafted +3. That is, if the highest tier you’ve crafted is 5, worker visitors could bring bundles of items up to tier 8, provided you own some. It is no longer required for you to have crafted those items for them to be valid.

This is an iteration and compromise over a recent bugfix (which didn’t even work) intended to prevent worker visitors from selling items you’ve never crafted. We understand that receiving highly valuable items you normally wouldn’t have access to is exciting and rewarding, but would also like to prevent cases where newer players are asked to buy items worth several thousand times their net worth*.

*Astute observers may notice that the previous bugfix coincided with the Darkness Millennium blueprint, a Tier 13 blueprint that was given out to all players.

Minor Changes
 • Due to Terms of Service conflicts with iOS, the Promo Code feature has been disabled on Apple devices. We are currently investigating supporting promo codes on our website for these players.
 • The “Bonus rewards” from Dragon Invasion are no longer hidden before reaching the grand prize.
 • Craft qualities with a chance of 20% or higher will no longer display a celebration screen upon claiming. Typically applies to Superior quality during Quality events or low tier items.

Balance Changes
 • Polonia can now loot items up to Tier 11, up from 10.
 • Reduced the amount of crafts needed to upgrade and master mid-tier blueprints (tier 6 to 10).
 • Slightly reduced the amount of Research Scrolls required to unlock mid-tier blueprints (Tier 7 to 10).
 • The introduction of the massive XP bonuses from Advanced Research had us notice that some blueprint lines had disproportionately high XP values. They have been reduced down to be more in line with other types (Spears, Axes, Rings and Shields were most affected).
 • The Carpenter is now the primary worker for Axes of Tier 4 and higher, to better match his ownership of Axes under Advanced Research.
 • The Emerald Inn and the Tavern have received new levels to accommodate the new quest. Their investment requirements have also been reduced.
 • Void Dimension and Cinderlake Volcano no longer feature Elemental Barriers on Easy, Medium and Hard difficulty. The bosses still have them, however.

King Schedule

King Reinhold will personally join your ranks as a Guest Champion on April 29th, leaving on May 2nd.

Bug Fixes
 • Fixed the Extreme Boss of Barren Wastes dropping items of a lower tier than intended.
 • Fixed an issue where some players received Spin Tickets in their inventory where they could not be used. The tickets have been removed and substituted with actual spins.
 • Fixed an instance where a progress bar SFX could be stuck playing forever.
 • Fixed a rare bug allowing invalid placement of Wall Decorations.
 • Fixed a display issue involving the Treasure Hunter talent and Royal Merchant loot slot.
 • Fixed market filters sorting when accessed from the pet feeding menu.
 • Fixed a minor texture issue with the Iridescent Pet Rock skin.
 • Fixed an issue with the Particle Beam Rifle blueprint in which two could be crafted at once after obtaining the second milestone upgrade.
 • Fixed enchanted items not being counted for Fusion inventory count.
 • Fixed the fusion warning for enchanted items not surfacing if the locked item warning surfaced previously.
 • Fixed a crash that could occur when inspecting a Pet Skin through an offer.
 • Fixed an issue where the text for Gold gained from selling over capacity components on the quest loot screen could be misaligned.
 • Fixed a bug allowing some offers to be purchased multiple times.
 • Fixed a rack bug causing the auto-restock function to behave unusually under some circumstances.
 • Fixed Champions playing an instrument SFX upon buying an instrument bundle.
 • Fixed an issue where power ratings were inconsistent when adding Rudo to a quest party.
 • Fixed an issue where the 3D model on the “Successful Fusion” celebration screen would obstruct the item name and quality text.

Coming Soon
Content Pass Slot Rewards
Various slots awarded through the content pass, such as Hero and Crafting slots, will be clearer as to which slot exactly is being unlocked.
